About this property

Perfect place for your next stay: Vintage cabin, quiet lake, and a classic sauna

Early-bird special: book 5 or more days and the 30-foot RV is included free. (It sleeps four additional people.)

Pine Haven Cabin sits on a quiet corner of Sand Lake where you’ll find good fishing, water fun, a classic Northwoods sauna, and beautiful lake views from the veranda. It’s great for a weekend get-away, or for a full week in the north woods. The cabin sleeps four adults, or two adults and three children comfortably. To add additional space, the 30-foot RV is available as an extra (see below).
The lake is 778 acres and has two islands that are favorite fishing spots for anglers. If you like catching northern pike, bass, or pan fish, you'll not be disappointed. There is a sandbar near the small island, which is a popular spot for boaters. Onsite are paddle boards, a canoe, and a rowboat to use. A pontoon is available to rent for enjoying the lake to the utmost. It can be added for a day, or for your whole stay. Book early to reserve it for your group.
Extras (please mention your interest in adding either extra when booking or inquiring):
1) The pontoon and its first tank of gas rents for $200 a day; $800 for five days; or $1000 for six days.
2) The RV camper rental is $125 for the first day, and then $75 a day after that for the duration of your stay. It can sleep four adults or two adults and three kids.
Other activities in the area include bike trails, hiking, sightseeing, and more.
Thanks.,
Steve and Mary

Nice place by lake

Great communication, very accommodating. This was a cozy place by lake - we really enjoyed the sauna. House was clean and had everything you would need. Not a busy lake, and a canoe was available to use which was nice since we decided not to bring our boat this trip even though a nice dock was available.

Perfect Place

This little cottage was fantastic. It packed a lot into a quaint cabin. Spacious sleeping, detached sauna with dressing area and shower. The yard is perfect for games, very large and view of the lake was unbeatable. Nice outdoor furniture and fire pit. Hosts delivered all that was promised and more. Immaculate. Thank you!!!!

Perfect

I was looking for a cozy place to relax a few days and this property was perfect! The weather wasn’t so nice that I took advantage of the canoe or paddle boat but they would be fun to use sometime too. The communication with the owner was great. I felt comfortable throughout my stay. I would whole-heartedly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away and find some peace and quiet.

About the host

We love the outdoors, whether it is the north woods of Minnesota, or the pines of Colorado's mountains. And we love being by water. That is why we love this place--it combines all the fun and quiet of the lake with the wilderness of Minnesota's north land.

Why they chose this property

The cabin is situated closer to the lake than most other cabins or houses. Sitting on the deck in the early in the morning, waiting to hear the loons is one of my favorite things.

What makes this property unique

We love the classic lake cabin feel of Pine Haven.
Sand Lake has good fishing, and in most instances, you will not be competing with lots of boat traffic.
Experiencing the wood-heated sauna (the way saunas all used to be!) and then cooling off in the lake is great fun.
We have an RV on site, so you can invite some friends or family to join you.
