Set on 43 acres of lush mountain forest, dotted with creeks and waterfalls, and only one other cabin on the property, WinFall is the perfect retreat! Roast marshmallows at one of two different fire pit areas, watch for wildlife from the covered porch, or go for a hike and explore nature.

Designed with the comfort of our guests and their pets in mind, WindFall has everything you need for a magical Smoky Mountain getaway.

WindFall offers high speed WiFi, a gas fireplace, cable TV, two fire pit areas, creek access, beautiful furnishings and luxurious high quality linens on all the cozy beds in the cabin.

The forest views along with the bold creek that runs through the property, make this beautiful home the ultimate secluded escape. Guest are welcome to hike and explore the creeks and waterfall on the property.

Located in beautiful Maggie Valley, this cabin is perfect for those who want to experience all the area has to offer. WindFall is just 15 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, as well as Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee. It is also just minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short drive to the Cataloochee Ski Resort and Tube World.

When you first arrive at WindFall, you will find parking for 4-5 vehicles. Travel up a small flight of stairs to the front door. As you walk in you will be delighted to find a wide open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, a gas log fireplace, and beautiful cozy furnishings and decor that will make you feel right at home. Friends and family will love gathering in this space to share laughs and make memories.

Just off the living room is a relaxing covered porch, with a flat top grill, plenty of comfortable seating, and the most wonderful forest views. Pull up a rocking chair and be lulled by the sound of the creek below.

The kitchen is both gorgeous and functional, with stainless steel appliances and everything you need for cooking and dining.

Also on the main floor, you will find a warm and inviting master suite with a queen size bed, cable tv, and an adjoining full bath with a jetted tub, separate shower, and bidet.

Back in the living room, travel up the stairs and to the left you will find an upstairs master suite, complete with an inviting queen bed, cable tv, and adjoining full bath.

To the right of the staircase is the loft area. This space is perfect for children and has two sets of bunk beds and gorgeous mountain cabin decor.

Outside, our guests have two different fire pit areas to enjoy. One is just off the backyard, and the other is by the creek with direct access to wade in and explore. This area also has a picnic table and is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature.

We offer discounts to veterans, active military, and first responders. Please message us for details.

Guests can book both cabins on the property for larger groups for a discount. If interested in this option, please send us a message.

WindFall is hosted by Loriel and Adam of Keaton Cottages, an affiliate of Wander Wagon Tours and Realty in Asheville.

Other details to note:
Guests must climb stairs to access the entire cabin.

WinfFall is located on a gravel road about 2.5 miles off Hwy 19. After navigating it a few times, most guests are comfortable with the mountain road. If this is your first time staying with us, we strongly suggest arriving during daylight hours. Four wheel/all wheel drive is not always needed to access the cabin in the milder months, but we do recommend it, and it is necessary in the winter in the event of snow or ice.

We strongly recommend that our guests use Waze for directions to the cabin and not GPS. Cell service is limited in the area and GPS will take you the wrong way.

We do offer a landline phone due to limited cell service in the area.

This property cannot accommodate recreational vehicles or trailers and we do not advise guests drive motorcycles to this property.

Beautiful place, great hosts.
The setting and the house are gorgeous. We had trouble with the road to the house. You need a 4 wheel drive or you may end up in a ditch, like we did. The road is treacherous. The house was generously welll stocked, but the television and the fireplace did not work. The hosts sent someone out to look at the tv and the fireplace, but they didn't come in because we were not there, which we told them before someone came out. I do think that the hosts were responsive and tried to get the amenities sorted for us. I found a good book at the house to read and the host graciously let me take it home to finish. The day we ended up in the ditch, the bumpy road hurt my back. We had to leave a day early, but thanks to the generosity of the host, I had a good book to read while my back healed.

Beautiful Maggie Valley
The house was perfect and FULLY stocked!!The creeks and waterfall were picturesque. The 40+ acres did not have accessible hiking trails. But that was my bad, I saw 43 acres in the description and assumed we would be able to explore them. The 2.5 mile road to the cabin was not a problem with AWD. Soco Falls is a short distance away and worth seeing. The hosts responded quickly to questions. All in all our stay with friends at Windfall cabin was fun and comfortable.

Mountain Retreat
This cabin is absolutely lovely. It is nicely decorated, very clean, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the beds are comfortable with a nice separation for privacy with one upstairs and one downstairs. We spent most of our time on the deck which overlooks a stream that provides a serene sound. It's also dog friendly and our dogs loved the place, too! The property owners clearly want their guests to have an amazing experience and are easy to contact if needed. Our only caution is the road to get to the cabin...though we were told it was a dirt road and told to use WAZE because it's the only direction application that will get you there due to poor cell service, it is not a road you'd want to drive the first time at night, It's long, rough, a single lane, with lots of twists and turns.

August creek side cabin rental
Looked for a creek side cabin and found this one online. The creek is about sixty feet below the porch and provided a constant soothing sound the whole time. There is actually two creeks adjoining the property. Used the fire lot next to the smaller creek. House provided many extras including stocked with food and towels etc. internet was a bit sketchy maybe because it’s satellite? Overall an excellent stay would stay there again.
