About this property

Kedra on the Lake, where the 7th night is always free! Loads of room to spread out! Kedra is the perfect mix of space, accommodations, amenities and that "feels like home" style that allows you to enjoy the lake and the surrounding mountains and communities. Have more than 8 in your group? Ask for information regarding the private 3 BR apartment rental next door for your overflow. And ask for more information about renting the pontoon boat right at your private dock or bring your own and we will have the dock free for your tie up. And if you book a full week, the 7th night is always free.

Kedra has been a guest favorite with high reviews since our first guests arrived in 2004 but we are always working to keep it fresh and updated. It is a family home managed by the family and you feel that personal touch from booking to check-out. Your group will enjoy every season as each offers its own special delights to enjoy in the North GA mountains: peaceful views, private dock on quiet cove, spacious and lovely home with fun for all. We hope all our guests go home saying, "That was a perfect place and a great stay!"

The main level at Kedra feels like a peaceful mountain lodge. Living space is open to the dining room with seating for 14, and our heavily equipped 3-cook kitchen. The master bedroom is also located on this level and windows line the rear of the house allowing for great views. You can step onto the covered porch to pass the afternoon in a rocking chair or porch swing. Upstairs you will find two enormous bedrooms each outfitted to sleep a family, as well as a full bathroom. The lower level may be your center of activity where you can have friendly competitions in air hockey or playstation, relax by the tv, or head to the lake. Also located is 1 more bedroom, an extra room, and a full bath. The crowning feature is in the back: a gentle walk down the grassy property to a large firepit, sandbox, and 100 feet of lake front with a private dock on a quiet cove for swimming. Canoe and paddle boards are provided!

Our cabin is on a beautiful, low-traffic TVA lake and a pontoon boat is available for rental. (Please note that Lake Nottely is lowered in the winter months and during drought seasons by the TVA). The town of Blairsville is sleepy and quaint but still has plenty of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment options to suit everyone's desires and more options are just 20 minutes away in Hiawassee or Blue Ridge.

In the end, it is our previous guest's own words that say the most about our cabin: 'beautiful... thank you for the warmth and hospitality of your home... home away from home... elegant... 2 weeks was not enough... all of our needs were met by your preparations... spacious and clean... very realxing... family friendly... we will be back!'

Beautiful place to stay

This property did not disappoint. The interior of the home was very clean, but the outside sitting areas could use a good washing. The waterfront access along with the private pier and fire pit were awesome. We caught and released fish off off of the pier, as well as went swimming, etc. This is an excellent family getaway. Many other things to do only a short drive away.

Great for our family reunion!

Our fourth stay at Kedra was just as nice as our first stay in 2006. Except, this time our kids are grown, married and have children of their own. With 5 bedrooms, 10 beds, a pullout couch and 3 1/2 baths, it was great to be able to host the family. The kitchen is well stocked. Ping pong in the garage and air hockey in the basement. A canoe and paddleboards for the lake. Hiking in the woods. Deer, turkey, birds, and squirrels everywhere. Internet works great. Roku TVs were a nice touch. What else can I say? We had a great 2 weeks with family coming and going.

Return to Kedra

We stayed at this property last year and loved everything about it. Consequently, we had to return this year and it was just as wonderful. The lake is lovely, it sleeps our 12 people-6 adults and 6 under age 11 very comfortably (in fact it could easily sleep several more), and even the little things were provided for. We particularly loved having access to a canoe, paddle boards, and plenty of life jackets. We even rented the next door neighbor's pontoon boat for the day which was great fun for all. Highly, highly recommended!!

Perfect Floorplan and Stay

Great property and location. We had 6 adults and 8 children and plenty of room. There are two family rooms so the kids could enjoy air hockey while watching a movie in the basement with the adults playing cards and enjoying the main family on the ground level. Loved Kedra and would highly recommend it! Also, reserve ths pontoon boat next door as well. The kids loved spending time on the water, the rate on the daily pontoon boat was very reasonable and the owner was great to work with. We will definitely book again.

Great Family Spring Break Getaway

Beautiful, large home with plenty of beds for our large family. Especially loved the huge dining table where we could all enjoy meals together. The ping pong and air hockey tables were a big hit for kids and adults. Kelly was extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

Nice place to stay for multi family gatherings

Our extended family enjoyed our stay at Kedra. The house was clean, warm, and offered plenty of space for our group of ten. The ping pong table was a huge hit! The kids loved exploring the property and the water, even though the lake was low. And the several sitting areas, both inside and out, allowed for kids and adults plenty of space to engage in multiple activities at the same time. Unfortunately we never found pucks for the air hockey table and that was disappointing as we had looked forward to that amenity. Overall would recommend, especially in the warmer months when all the lake amenities are available.

Great cabin for family gatherings.

Great cabin for family gatherings. We stayed at this property over the Christmas weekend and enjoyed the large spaces (living room, kitchen and downstairs rec room) for family activities. It was cold during our stay, so we enjoyed a fire around the outdoor firepit. The cabin has lots of bedrooms and provided ample sleeping space for the kids who all stayed in one of the larger bedrooms. The kitchen well equipped and was great for my wife who prepared meals and Christmas cookies. The host returned my texts immediately and was helpful when we had a minor WiFi issue. I would definitely stay at this cabin again.

Everything was great we enjoyed ourselves. However it was very cold even after a repairman fixed the heating system. And the drive way is very steep However there is a cul-de-sac just down the road to turn around.

We had a very nice time. Our family included a 3 month old up to 70 yrs old. The kitchen is well equipped. It is nice to have 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens. The owner was very friendly and quick to respond through out the time from the initial booking to check out.

CABIN GETAWAY

Overall, the vacation was fine. There were a few things that could not be controlled, like the lowering of the river and all the leaves had already fallen. The home is beautiful as pictured. Plenty of space in all rooms. The internet connection to watch tv was not the best. My biggest complaint is the ice maker didn't work.

Birthday weekend

House set up great for multiple families. Lots of room inside and out. Kitchen big enough for everyone. Comfortable beds. Could use more towels. Steep driveway and pretty significant slope to water. Unfortunately they had not had rain and our cove was bone dry. That’s Mother Nature for ya. Lol. Would definitely stay there again.

Family Fun, Fish and Fire pit

Our annual family vacation this year was spent on Lake Nottley. The house was perfect for eight adults and two children. Plenty of places to relax, be together, play games, have our boat at the dock, swim, and fish in the lake and the nearby trout streams. Welcome to our vacation home, Kedra on the Lake! We are Ralph and Ann and we are retired and live in the Metro Atlanta area. We have 4 married children and 13 grand kids ages 1-23 who we love like crazy and with whom we share many wonderful times at Kedra through out the whole year. We would love for you to bring your crowd here too and please know that you will be treated like a treasured guest!

Why they chose this property

Lake Nottely in Blairsville has the perfect combination of charm, convenience, natural beauty and remoteness that makes our trips up there so enjoyable. There is lots to do but you don't have to fight a crowd of other vacationers to do it! The house is huge and is easy for more than one family to share, giving us each a little space to breath and plenty of room to share.

What makes this property unique

Each year we add to our list of things to do, taking expeditions to find new and interesting adventures. Of course, the lake is the biggest draw... fishing, canoeing, boating, swimming; it is all heaven on this lovely, peaceful lake. We also enjoy tubing and rafting down the rivers, golfing, hiking to waterfalls, shopping and eating out at our favorite restaurants. Probably our favorite outing is to Vogel State Park, a must-do on every trip. Mostly it is time spent together, making memories and getting refreshed from the peacefullness and beauty.
