Up the Creek

Tucked away in the Smoky Mountains and surrounded by a lush green forest, this fantastic rental located on a picturesque creek is the perfect place to get away from it all and become one with nature. This outdoor retreat in a cabin-like home is the prime place for tranquility, peace, reading, taking nature photos, and carrying on meaningful conversations over coffee or cocktails. Upon entering, you will immediately notice simple but elegant looks, the smell of pine, and the sound of water from the creek. Curl up in front of the fireplace and stream a movie marathon on the large TV while the group's chef prepares delicious dishes in the sophisticated kitchen. Get a comfortable night's rest in the soft bed or sofa bed from the day's adventures of ziplining, hiking to Emert's Cove Covered Bridge, playing hillbilly Golf, or shopping in Gatlinburg, all within a 20-mile radius. At the end of the day, gather around the firepit and roast marshmallows, tell stories, and stargaze while listening to the babble of the creek.

Gatlinburg is a short, pleasant drive through the mountains away. One of the best well-kept secrets of the area is definitely the Greenbrier section of the park - it's not frequented as much as the Sugarland Center or Cades Cove areas and you can find scenic hiking trails.

With your reservation, enjoy one FREE Ticket to each of these attractions: Paula Dean's Lumberjack Dinner Show, Wonderworks, Smoky Mountain Observation Wheel, NASCAR Speedpark, Rocky Mountain Coaster and Skyland Ranch (a $205.00 Value) as well as Exclusive Discounted Tickets to Anakeesta, Hatfield & McCoy, Dolly's Stampede, Comedy Barn and more.

Cabin

We couldn't get the fireplace to work. MY Partner got a bad respiratory infection he is allergic to mold so we had to wound up leaving early he couldn't breath. Someone may want to check this out and the lumber smell was so overpowering.

Wonderful Experience

What a great place! everything in this little cabin was "top notch", from the coffee maker to the hot tub. The privacy was wonderful and the setting was ideal. We look forward to returning.

Cute cabin

Very cute and quite, love the sound of the creek. We also loved a groundhog we named Chuckie. Watched him every morning while drinking our coffee on the back porch. We will Definitely stay again.

Cute creek cabin

We had a great stay at this cute little cabin. Peaceful area with other cabin rentals up the road but secluded enough. Very clean and well kept. Enjoyed coffee in the rocking chair listening to the creek flowing and fire pit. Close to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge without having to stay in the city. Would 100% stay here again!

Up the Creek cabin

Awesome cabin Especially for the money Quiet set along a nice creek Kitchen really nice with provisions Stairs to loft tricky Only for “agile” persons (luckily we are) TV works if you put in your own Amazon account. Didn’t find that out until last day Communication with Vacasa was excellent. On the ball! Highly recommend either cabin The other one is “Down the Creek” Didn’t go in it but imagine it’s the same

Cozy

Loved the over all cleanliness and the care takers attentiveness. Accommodations for four is a bit of a stretch as the upper level requires good mobility to reach. It does have a king bed and TV. The lower level pull-out bed is more suited to perhaps children. However, if you are looking for seclusion, it's perfect for two.

Great weekend

Loved the location of the cabin. 20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. The cabin was new and very nice. The patio/porch area overlooking the creek was amazing as well.

A Cabin Experience At It’s Best

If you and your love ones looking to spend time with nature and tranquility in the Smokies, this is probably the best place for you. After visiting in this enchanted place for the 4th time ,this is so far the best cabin we had. With it’s simple but elegant looks, the smell of pine, and the sound of water from the creek makes it a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. If you have any issues with anything anytime the guest service is just one text or call away.

Very Cozy and Relaxing Home

This is a great place for a family of four. Gatlinburg is only about 15 min away and is a pleasant drive through the mountains. The location was very nice, not too deep into the woods but deep enough to where it was very quiet. We had a great time sitting outside on the porch and listening to the stream right outside the back door and sitting next to the fire pit and roast marshmallows. The inside was very new and clean with a great view from the upstairs balcony. All the walls and floor was made of wood and the furniture matched that aesthetic. The upstairs bedroom had a nice mattress but the pullout couch had a pretty thin mattress but that could be fine for 2 kids. The WiFi and TV’s worked great as well. The kitchen had sufficient kitchenware, only a cutting board was missing. Also, since you can’t use the grill outside it would be useful to have an oven pan of some sort. Also having a trash can inside would be nice as well so you don’t have to walk outside every time to throw something away. These are minor inconveniences however and we still had a great time. This was a great value for the quality of the house and location so we would definitely stay here again.

All you need to know!

This cabin was everything I hoped! Sitting on a creek thay is large enough for swimming. You have the rushing water sound, you know, that perfect creek in the woods sound. Other cabins are pretty close, but you can only see one clearly from your deck or fire pit. There are two decks, one off the living room, one off the bedroom upstairs. You just step off the lower deck and there is the fire pit, also situated directly on the creek bank. The decks each have two beautiful wooden rockers and the fire pit supplies you with two Adirondack chairs. If you're wanting a place to sit in solitude and just relax and decompress, this place is perfect! I do believe the cabin itself is brand new. Extremely clean! There is a full bath a living room with a pull-out couch, wood burning stove and a small kitchen with a two-seater high top table downstairs. There's also a loft upstairs with a king bedh half bath anddeck over the creek. The cabin is air conditioned with two separate units, one per floor. Both beds were very comfort. The pull out downstairs does not have quite as much support, it may be a little rough for two people. It may be also be a little tough on some people to get upstairs. It is a very narrow and vertical staircase. Almost straight up! It's also very hard to get luggage up there, anything larger than a carry-on would be almost impossible. You need to be very careful whenever going up or down the stairs. This cabin is in the Cosby/Greenbrier area and it is beautiful here. Not nearly as congested but still within a 15 to 20 minute drive of reaching downtown Gatlinburg. On a side note, the Greenbrier section of the park is a well kept secret, and not frequented as much as the Sugarland Center or Cades Cove areas. You can find hikes in this section that are not nearly as steep but still follow a creek line. This cabin would be perfect for two people and still work with three or four people. There were three of us and we loved it ! I do have a few notes for the owners. I think this is happening because it's new cabin and just not being fully outfitted yet. These are the problems we had; no garbage can in the kitchen or the upstairs bath. There was only one in the whole house and it was in the front bathroom downstairs. There is dishware for four people. This works fine but you'll need to be able to wash the dishes. You need a drain rack and maybe an extra dish towel. Would also be nice to have a broom and dustpan for all these hardwood floors. A few rugs thrown around would be nice also , especially this winter . There were yellow jackets in that front bathroom downstairs. They were there when we arrived we killed what we found. We left the next morning and came back late in the afternoon and they were there again. At this point one of us got stung. Oh, and the door for the full bath will not completely shut. This problem needs to be taken care of immediately! My other big problem was there is NOWHERE for luggage or any hanging clothes. This was a big! You need at least some luggage racks or tables to set suitcases . There's nothing in that upstairs bedroom but the bed and two nightstands. Since there's no closet maybe some coat hooks a couple places or something. Linens were supplied for both beds but no pillows for the pullout. That's really the only problems I can remember . But let me say this clearly, even with these problems, I would totally recommend this cabin or the partner cabin "Down the Creek ". The location can not be beat! We will be back!
