**Please read full description AND ALL HOUSE RULES before reserving**
From the moment you drive down the long, tree lined driveway you will feel your stress melt away. The inside of this rustic cabin is packed with luxurious details including a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a cozy dining area, vaulted ceilings with skylights in the living room and a gorgeous view of the lake. There are two generous sized bedrooms, a private half bath in the primary bedroom, large main bath with rainfall shower and handheld body spray, and a bunk room with individual reading lights in each of the 4 bunks. Cedar and log walls throughout the cabin give that cozy, up north vibe.
Outdoors you can enjoy 100 feet of level, sandy beachfront and a long dock just begging to be fished and jumped off. Bring your boat and cruise around the 1132 acre lake- tubing, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding or just lounging- the fun is endless. There is a firepit for roasting smores and a large deck with ample seating overlooking the lake. The deck is the perfect spot to relax and bask in the charms of nature with family and friends over a meal. Enjoy your morning coffee and watch the swans float by or watch the sunset over the lake from the deck, the dock or in the hammock while you read a book.
Downtown Spooner is just a 7 minute drive away for small town shops, eateries or the brewery. In the winter- Spooner Lake has great ice fishing that isn’t over-populated and Washburn County is well known for its miles and miles of snowmobile trails.
There is something for everyone at this little Log Cabin- welcome to our Happy Place.
***IMPORTANT:
This is a family owned log cabin. We took a huge leap and bought it during the pandemic, renovated it and put all our love and energy into it to be able rent it out for other people to enjoy when we are not using it. We want people to be able relax, explore, and decompress at our little log cabin. We hope you sit on the deck with a cup of coffee, reading a good book overlooking the lake, feeling the sun touching your shoulders- and know that it's God telling you how much you are loved, just as you are. We want to share our little slice of happiness with others. When you stay with us, we will treat you like family- which includes expecting you to be respectful of the neighbors who are also our friends, respecting the nature and wildlife that lives here with us, and being a good human. This is a very, very quiet area, please be aware of that before booking- NO PARTIES or events. Quiet hours are between 9pm and 7am. We would allow up to 8 guests depending on the situation.
Please note- There is NO air-conditioning. We do get a nice cross breeze off the lake at night, and there are extra fans under the beds in the bunk room and in the Queen bedroom closet. If you need more heat in the winter the Thermostat is on the wall by the bathroom, and space heaters in the closet in the Queen bedroom. It gets pretty toasty in the bedrooms, especially if the doors are closed.
Please only book if you are comfortable with such a stay and agree to all policies and house rules- THE FULL LIST OF HOUSE RULES CAN BE FOUND IN THE POLICIES AND RULES SECTION UNDER "ADDITIONAL RULES."
Guest access
There is a very long, skinny driveway to the cabin and plenty of parking beside the cabin. DO NOT park on the septic system- it will be marked off with sticks.

Hi! We are the Colestocks. We are a family of 4 from White Bear Lake, Mn who has dreamed of owning a cabin for years- we have talked about it in the "when we win the lottery sort of way". During the summer of 202 we spent a whole week at a cabin rental, and it was just what our souls needed. Lianna read 4 books that week, Dan caught a million fish and the girls swam and tubed until their swim bottoms fell off. This simple little getaway shifted our perspective on a lot of things and made us so thankful for what we have= the unfailing love of God, family and friends.
We thought about buying a cabin for a whole new reason...to share that perspective with others. What if we bought something, put all our love and energy into it, and rented it out for other people to enjoy when we are not using it? What if people could relax, explore, and decompress at OUR cabin? Sit on the deck with a cup of coffee, reading a good book overlooking the lake, feeling the sun touch their shoulders- and know that it is God telling them how much they are loved, just as they are. That. We want to share that slice of happiness with others.
And here we are! We took a huge leap of faith in the middle of a pandemic and bought a cabin on sunny Spooner Lake in Spooner, Wisconsin! We have remodeled it ourselves for what seems like forever. We put our love, energy and all our free time into it, and now that it's finally done-we are excited to share it with you! Follow along on our instagram page @happyshoreslogcabin or on the cabin renovation page on our website happyshoreslogcabin.com to see how far we have come.

Why they chose this property
We love being so close to quaint downtown Spooner. If you forgot an ingredient for dinner or ran out of beer, you are only 7 minutes from a grocery store. Don't feel like cooking? There are tons of great, locally owned restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Want to shop? Spooner has the cutest downtown shopping area, or Hayward or Rice Lake is less than 30 minutes away!
What makes this property unique
We love how close the cabin is to the lake, how flat the yard is, and how gradual the lake elevation is. Being able to watch the kids play in the water while you relax on the deck, or in the hammock, or in the lounge chairs on the beach is glorious. Watching the sunset over the water while you roast marshmallows at the firepit fills with loved ones fills our heart and soul.
