Beautiful panoramic sunset views across the curvature of the earth. Close enough to watch whales, away from crowds and the beaten tourist path, your vacation starts here. This brand new custom vacation house is 600 feet (about 200 meters) elevation and in the most comfortable climate in the Hawaiian islands and probably in the world.

After spending a day fishing, hiking, golfing, driving, sightseeing or shopping, you come back to this tranquil home. Having a glass of wine on the lanai, you enjoy the sun gradually setting over the horizon or the moon rise casting a column of light cross the water.

This 2 story house on one acre offers 2 bedrooms and one bath. Bamboo cabinets surround a custom kitchen/dining area. It is fully equipped for your comfort and convenience. We think that cooking and eating are a part of vacation, so we purposely attached a custom dining table to a gas range/oven. You can cook and eat among enjoyable conversations and wonderful views a the same time.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL

We had a great time and enjoyed the view. Location requires expert driving, access to fresh fruits and vegetables is phenomenal. Neighbors were enjoyable , and no need to set your alarm clock. Wonderful stay!!!!!

Anniversary stay

Amazing view and well-prepared host

100% worth the trek out of the way to stay at this place. The home is spacious and a perfect remote work destination. Make sure to pick up groceries before you arrive, the nearest grocery store is a ~20m drive.

Absolutely Perfect!

This was just the place to spend our 20th anniversary! Besides the great views of the ocean sunset and whales out in the ocean; it was just the right paced neighborhood and perfect location to hit all of the places we wanted to on the island. Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Great view from the balcony

BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, AMAZING!!

Will 100% stay here again. The view was INCREDIBLE. The goats around was so cool, roosters, chickens all the cute things!! This place is a 10/10. Also the owners are incredible as well. They left us campaign for our anniversary, even tho we don’t drink we appreciate being thought of. Thank you so much for allowing us too stay in your beautiful home.

The most relaxing stay

Clean, spacious, and comfortable vacation rental. Naomi and Paul were wonderful hosts. Their communication and attentiveness were first class. They thought of everything, from a fully stock kitchen to beach gears. We enjoyed the gorgeous views of the coast line, the sunsets, and the night sky from the expansive covered wrapped around deck. Fantastic Property

We stayed for two weeks at Naomi and Paul's property in Miloli'i. The house is very well appointed and over the stay we had everything and more we needed for a great vacation. The views from the property are indescribable and the house is cool and comfortable throughout the day and night due to the inflow and outflow of air currents. Both Naomi and Paul were attentive to our needs to ensure nothing at the property prevented us from have a great stay. We highly recommend this property to those who wish to have a great vacation!

Beauty and Peace

Walking into Naomi's home is like visiting a friend. Naomi did an incredible job with setting our expectations and taking care of us while we were there. Directions were extremely clear and easy to follow. The home is very clean, well maintained and situated on a hill with an excellent view of the ocean! We were greeted by whales on day 1!!! My husband and I found peace while staying here. We are extremely grateful for Naomi and our time on the island.

Beautiful Milolii

Stunning sunsets on the deck of this great house. The home has everything you need for your vacation including beach gear. We planned ahead and bought our groceries before going there since it is a ways away from shopping and restaurants. That was ok with us because we like to cook. The best Hosts! Great views!

The best Hosts! So helpful.. great communication. They went the extra mile for us after our flights were canceled! Great views! Property is new, beautiful and comfortable. Well outfitted and appointed. It is very far though, be aware it is a long drive on a very windy road to Kona and really anywhere but the South coast. But if you are looking for privacy, quiet and the best night sky this is a fantastic option. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Place! Beautiful View! Whales Whales Whales!

We rented this home for our friends who were coming to spend some time with us while we were vacationing on the Big Island. Our friends just loved it! The woodwork and floors were beautiful and everything looked and smelled new. The balcony had a wonderful view of the bay and whales could be seen from the balcony. We went over one night and had dinner with our friends and the kitchen was so well equipped...if you wanted to do some gourmet cooking...everything was there that could be needed. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with our friends!

Serene birthday week in March

We had a wonderful 8 days, including my boyfriend's birthday, at Paul and Naomi's house in Miloli'i. The house is light and spacious with beautiful bamboo materials and nice appliances. The view from the house's perch on a lava rock hill is mesmerizing and you can see far up and down the coast, beautiful sunsets of course, as well as a starry sky at night. It was also quiet and serene and we didn't mind the driving times to the busier areas at all. We even made it to the summit of Mauna Kea on our 4th visit to the island. And the hosts Naomi and Paul were very communicative and responded quickly. Highly recommended!

Best Location for Complete Hawaiian Experience

Had visited Big Island before & wanted the complete Hawaiian experience from the quaint villages to the resorts ,to the mega resorts & nature. It was all available from here. Secluded beaches to fishing villages. Was able to view the Pacific & wildlife at our doorstep. Will never forget hearing the birds of Hawaii. The groves & groves of orchards of organic produce! The surf shacks, breakfast bakeries & cafes (be early!) . It reminded me of the Mayan Riviera near Tulum. Must see before time changes it. Learned the the Aloha & Mahalo spirit of Hawaii. Thanks to our hosts, We were blessed by this house created by them near Milolii, the last fishing village of Hawaii at our doorstep. Thank you!

Amazing Stay

Wow! What a great house. Paul and Naomi designed and furnished this house with care and attention to detail. The whole front of the house is dedicated to the view of miles and miles of shoreline where you can see almost 30 miles to the north and the fishing village of Miloli’i to the south. The bedrooms are thoughtfully located in the back of the house to take advantage of the mountain breezes. The house and everything in it was clean and had its place. The communication with Naomi prior to and during our trip was excellent. The area was quiet and peaceful. The first time we stayed in the Miloli’i area we stayed at a rental further down the mountain. This location was far better. We highly recommend staying at Paul and Naomi’s house and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we return to the Big Island. Mahalo Paul and Naomi.

Milolii stay

Dear Paul and Naomi, We have been recalling so many wonderful memories of our trip to Hawaii. One place that keeps returning to our memories is your home in Milollii. We had such a great stay there and found everything so welcoming and gorgeous. Our time on the lanai was heaven, watching the sun, sea and spectacular sunsets! We ate all of our meals out there. During our trip to the Big Island and Kauai we stayed at five different places and your home certainly stands out as exceptional. If you had wi-fi it would be a really nice addition. I would encourage you to add this service. I cannot think of a single other thing that you need to do with your place. We would love to return. Tranquil setting

We just returned from our vacation on the Big island. We had one week in a golf resort and one week in the Millolli house. The house is definitely our favorite, it is perfect for a peaceful vacation. Paul & Naomi are wonderful hosts, and had Kona coffee ready for us. There are coolers & beach chairs to take on your daily trips, so picnics are easy. There is nothing you are missing in this house to prepare fabulous meals, and enjoy Lanai dinning. The kitchen island and table are set up so everyone can join in the cooking , the open concept keeps everyone involved. In the mornings, we enjoyed our coffee on the Lanai and watched humpback whales just off shore. At night we would walk down the driveway and look at the stars, the night is so black here. This house is the perfect place to get out of the tourist area and really enjoy Hawaii. You can still travel from here to Kona to enjoy dinner out, or just eat in, with our own BBQ it was easy. We also travelled to the volcano, black and green sand beaches from here.The pictures of the inside are good, but being there, you will notice the attention to detail and perfection of the home. We will definitely come back some day...thanks again Paul & Naomi.

Beautiful and remote

We stayed for a week in January 2023, and loved the house. The listing was accurate, and we quickly settled in. The house is remote, in Miloli'i, which was what we were looking for to get away and cook for ourselves while exploring the island. It's an hour from Kailua-Kona, and 2 hours from the North Island, and also the East such as with Hilo. 40 minutes to Kaleakekua Bay which is just perfect. The kitchen had a couple incidental basics, and a good range of utensils and pots and pans. Charcoal BBQ is downstairs and we used it a couple times. Good place to cook and then eat on the lanai and take in the beautiful sunsets! Really great view of the ocean down below. The beds were good, bathroom was nice, and the breeze kept everything cool. Partway throigh our trip, Naomi contacted us to ask us to check out early on our last day, at 8 am, and offered a refund for one night in return. While it was a little annoying to find that out while we were on our trip, it just made us make sure we were packed up the night before so we could go get breakfast out in town before flying home. Things happen. The hosts were friendly and communicative and kept a nice house! Overall we had a great stay and would stay again.

I loved every minute of my Milolii stay….

This impeccably maintained home sits perched on the slope above the fishing village of Milolii. The location is somewhat remote but easy to find. If you are looking for a resort/touristy experience, Milolii is not for you, in my opinion. For me, the location was perfection. Peaceful with wide open ocean views. The home is quite possibly the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in and is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable and Naomi’s is a delight to rent from and communicate with. I enjoyed spotting whales offshore (seasonal) watching the wild goats make their way through the lava rock paths in front of the house and, from a distance, watching the various chickens & cats do their thing. This is a normal environment for rural Hawaii and I enjoy it very much. However, these critters are wild and should not be fed or approached. I ventured 20 minutes south to Oceanview and had a fun visit to Kai Loki’s for Super Bowl Sunday. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere's were all good. I would highly recommend Naomi & Paul’s home for a peaceful stay. The climate is perfect with warm days and cooler evenings. It should be noted that Milolii is a native Hawaiian fishing village, perhaps one of the last remaining on the Big Island. Being respectful that this area is their home, heritage and livelihood is imperative. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others and look forward to returning. Mahalo Naomi and Paul for a wonderful week of peace and restoration.

Great place. Very quiet and peaceful.

I wanted to find a place that was not a hotel and was a little away from the hustle and bustle of the tourism. Really enjoyed this beautiful little home. Communication with the owners was very good. Always felt like if we needed anything we could message them. Instructions on how to take care of the trash and password to log in to the internet was right there in the house. The house was very clean and had all the pans and plates needed for us to cook our own dinners an save some money that way. There is a short drive and 20 minute hike to get to a secluded black sand beach where you can see spinner dolphins and do some snorkeling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Beautiful view, fantastic hosts.

We had a really great time staying at Paul and Naomi's house. They are the most wonderful and responsive hosts that we have ever had at any of the many VRBO properties that we have stayed at. As the photos show, the house sits atop a hill with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The road to the home does wind around a little but is not at all difficult to manage, we even got to where we enjoyed the pretty scenery along the way. We stopped several times so that my wife could purchase a fresh avocado from one of the "honor" fruit stands located along the drive. The house was very clean and well appointed, having two nice recliners and a couch in the living room, satellite tv and two nice bedrooms. The washer and dryer made packing easy as we only took enough clothes for half of our eleven night stay and did a couple of loads of laundry half way through the trip. The kitchen had everything that we needed and we even ended up spending more time at the house than we had planned, forgoing a few road trips. There are several small markets/grocery stores about 15 minutes to the east on Hwy 11, larger stores a little farther away north in Captain Cook and Kona. The smaller ones have most everything that you might need. All in all, I would very highly recommend this house and location. (Naomi even stayed in touch after she was called away to Japan to look after her ailing mother!)
