About this property

Mennonite Built Cabin on 81 acres surrounded by 30,000 acres of state park

Experience true off-grid living in our Mennonite-built cabin nestled in the heart of 81 acres of secluded meadows and pasture. This rustic retreat is the perfect getaway for those looking to fully unplug and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.

Our cozy cabin offers a unique blend of country charm and modern convenience. While there is no electricity, we have propane lights inside and solar lights outdoors. We have running water both hot and cold with a beautifully rustic outdoor shower! The interior is tastefully decorated with a comfortable queen-sized bed and two twin beds in a shared room upstairs. A futon is available in the family area for additional sleepers and full size kitchen for preparing simple meals. Best of all, there is no WiFi and little cell phone service, giving you the chance to truly disconnect and relax. With a fire pit outside, you can enjoy cozy evenings under the stars, roasting marshmallows and making memories that will last a lifetime.

The true highlight of our property are the four picturesque ponds and natural lake with a beaver dam and small waterfall. Grab a fishing pole and take to the waters, or simply relax and soak in the stunning surroundings. And with an abundance of wildlife, you're sure to spot everything from deer and wild turkey to osprey and blue heron during your stay.

Beyond our property, you'll find endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. The cabin is a 20-minute drive to Fall Creek Falls, Tennessee's largest state park, boasting over 26,000 acres of hiking, waterfalls, streams, cascades, and gorges. And with Cumberland Mountain State Park, Catoosa Wildlife Management Area, South Cumberland State Park, and Chattanooga all within an hour's drive or so, there's no shortage of hiking, dining, and activities to enjoy.

Experience the simpler life and reconnect with nature at our off-grid retreat. We invite you to unplug, unwind, and recharge in the peaceful
embrace of nature.

Feel free, relax and enjoy.

Weekend at Fall Creek Falls

We had a wonderful stay at Willow Creek! The property is beautiful and we enjoyed the seclusion it offered as well as its closeness to Fall Creek Falls State Park. The cabin stayed warm even on the days where it was close to freezing temps. Highly recommend!

It was a great getaway! Get away from the noise to some clean quiet living. Where we could enjoy God and His creation without interruption. Great owners. Great place and property. We will go back.

Peaceful off-grid retreat

The songs of nature, lightening bugs, and night skies, were among the highlights of our brief visit. This is a quiet spot, and a bit of a drive (25 minutes) to get over to the Fall Creek Falls Park.

Peaceful Getaway

We took our 3 year old and 7 year old. We visited the Falls and enjoyed the peaceful cabin. The owners gave great advice on places to visit and even came and gave me a jump as my truck battery died. It was like being in our own wooded Oasis. Definitely recommend if you just want to get away and refresh from the worries of the world

Very Beautiful little place. Perfect getaway

Cute and away from it all. No tv, no service and all kinds of Mother's Nature everywhere. One morning you could see deer grazing while we sat out front. 110% We will visit again. Thank you

Paradise

Absolutely breathtaking. Great place for peace and quiet and to immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature. Great, cozy cabin and gorgeous views. It was nice to play board games and enjoy each other without tv, phones or technology. Host was great and informative. Can't wait to be back.

Amazing getaway

Very clean and surprisingly user friendly. Owner leaves very detailed instructions in the cabin book on the table. She(being a city girl) was a little skeptical at first but loved our stay. Just enough cell service to load maps and whatever else you need but not enough to distract kids. My only complaint would be that we had to leave. Will be back.

One of the best cabins I’ve stayed in

My husband and I fell in love with this off the grid cabin. We’ve been wanting to move off the grid and this cabin gave us so many ideas. The lanterns were easy to use and provided just the right amount of heat during our stay in October. The tankless water heater worked perfectly for washing up and doing dishes. The place was tastefully decorated and clean. There was no cell phone service for us and it was such a great way to disconnect from everything and spend time together as a family. There are plenty of games and books. My son loved running around the yard while we sat on the porch and read. The porch is also a perfect spot for your morning coffee and breakfast. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. We didn’t want to leave!!

Pictures don’t do this place justice!

This place is spectacular. If you’re on the fence, just book it. We needed a peaceful getaway from technology and this place delivered. Be weary that it is a super long gravel road, as well as grass you’ll be driving through to get to the cabin. Though no electricity, there is a solar panel charging unit provided. The gas lights were super easy to operate. The place was immaculately clean, and the decor very tasteful! I brought my dirt bike in hopes to ride around the 80 acres on the property, but didn’t realize till shortly after we got there that you can’t ride on them, they are hayfields. But there was still a small amount of acreage we got to ride and have fun on at the property. 10/10 recommend, and we will definitely be back!!

Willow Farm

My husband and 2 German Shepherds decided to stay at Willow Farm to get away from it all. This location doesn’t disappoint. The owners were wonderful and I felt welcome onto their little slice of paradise. We brought all of our meals and cooked. The kitchen is appointed for basics and they offer Berkey filter, coffee, and some very basic staples. Once you arrive you won’t be going back out so come prepared. They even have basic toiletries in case you forget something. We LOVED the few days were there even tho we had a really weird cold snap. Walking all the pastures, observing wildlife and letting Ben and Charlie soak up miles of land was just wonderful. We are already planning going back ASAP. If you truly want to step back in time, unplug and seek stillness look no further!!! I highly suggest you bring a few lanterns or flashlights for the evenings. It’s DARK and star gazing is perfect!
