About this property

Villa 1928 “Pumpkin” -Luxe Home- Hidden Gem in the heart of the “Oldest City”

Villa 1928 also nicknamed "Pumpkin" is a gorgeous newly renovated home located in one of the very best locations within the historic downtown district of St. Augustine. Its location on "Saint Andrews Court" is a hidden gem/hideaway, still a well kept secret, in the heart of downtown within the historic city gates. Pumpkin is nestled at the end of the tiny, magical one lane street that was originally built for horse and carriage or foot traffic access only. For guests that appreciate upscale, super clean, immaculate yet classic design and definitely for those history buffs looking to enjoy and experience what it was like to live in the Oldest City back in the early 1900s, this is the Villa for you... impeccably kept, private, yet in the heart and walking distance to all that the old city has to offer.

The Space:
The Villa has the original architectural details, quality and classic workmanship from the period in which it was built. No expense was spared in renovating the interior which boasts a modern yet timeless fashion, even the art work and furnishings were selected with that "prohibition era/timeframe in mind."

The Interior:
Make your way up the fresh, crisp, clean front porch steps onto a serene, screened in front porch, perfect for enjoying the quiet, historic street atmosphere (sometimes even faintly hearing the nearby live music) while sipping some Rose' or a cold one lounging on the comfy porch plush loveseat or pillowed chair. Step inside the front door that opens into a fresh and clean living area with a genuine leather couch, showcasing an over 80" flat screen Television with wi-fi streaming all available for gusts to enjoy... step further into the open dining area and kitchen, fully stocked with all essentials. Step to the hallway with two bedrooms each has a queen bed, with clean white linens, a bathroom with essentials and a refreshing walk in shower... all of which to suit even the most discerning of guests.

The Exterior:
Step outside the back door into a charming, tranquil outdoor seating/lounge courtyard areas with plants and a fountain feature along with landscape lighting to enjoy alongside table with umbrella feature (side courtyard)...

Parking/Location:
There is space for up to two vehicles to park side by side in front of the Villa, however, there is likely no need to drive as every attraction in the historic district is just a short walk, hop, skip or jump away. Simply step out the front door and you are surrounded by a treasure trove of museums, shops, cafes, spa, restaurants (some of the finest dining that St. Augustine has to offer), hotels/bars, including Casa Monica, Flagler College, St. George Street, etc and if you wish, you can even book a horse and carriage to pick up at the end of the street.

MOKE rental option/separate from Villa:
If interested, you also have the option of contacting the Host to rent a MoKe for the day or to use for your entire stay. The options are endless at this splendid retreat.

Brief Summary:
For a truly exceptional experience in what is arguably the best location in the city and in one of the most charming, clean, and gorgeous villas, where you will live like a true local, look no further for your next visit to "the oldest city..." and we hope that you become a repeat guest for many years to follow!

Guest Access:
Guests will have full private access to the entire home and outdoor areas.

Other Notables: Villa 1928 “Pumpkin” is definitely catered to the discerning guest and is enhanced by owner’s attention to detail when equipping the home. You will notice subtleties such as noise makers and dimmable night lights throughout, high end furnishings, outdoor floor fans to make outdoor seating more enjoyable, natural essential oils have been used for mosquito repellant outdoors, umbrellas available for guests who love walking in the rain as much as the owner does, landscaping is meticulous… owner keeps the paint consistently retouched, and even a nite light exterior installation to add to the charm in the evenings… this home is a secret treasure for guests to experience…

***Moke Option*** (Separate Rental)
Guests have the option of renting the owner’s Moke, please contact owner directly for details.

We hope that you enjoy, but ask you to please be respectful of our wonderful neighbors.

The cutest.

This property is absolutely adorable, has everything you need & most important it’s clean! The owners seem to actually care about their property. Yes it’s a tight street but that’s overlooked when you realize how quaint it is. No neighbors bothered us. Completely walkable to everything downtown yet quietly tucked away in its own world. Adorable.

Perfect House in St Augustine

We had a great stay at this house. Owner was easy to communicate with and the house was in immaculate condition. Don’t hesitate to book this place just steps from the historic St Augustine district.

Quiet, Clean, But the living room furniture is very uncomfortable and only for one couple.

I have to say this is a very clean place- Excellent location, within walking distance of everything on the main streets. The living room furniture / couch is very uncomfortable and only one other chair in the living room. If you are someone who like to sit around after a long day and enjoy a comfy sit on the couch and watch Movies, this is not the couch for you. Beds are small. Other than that, the visit was nice. CLEAN !

Auggie trip 2025

The Pumpkin house was an absolute pleasure to stay in. The location was perfect- off the main road ( the road to the house if very narrow-use caution)- but incredibly close to everything down town and only a short done to the beach. The owners are very much in contact with you during your visit. I would highly recommend staying here in this quaint, warm, welcoming home.

In The Heart of the City, but Quiet like the Country

Villa 1928 "Pumpkin" was the perfect place for my family trip to St Augustine. Just two blocks away from St George St, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, you really cannot beat the location. The home was clean, beautiful, and so spacious. I wish I had that kitchen in my own house. This place would be ideal to stay a week or two in, and you're less than a mile walk from so many restaurants and cafes you could eat somewhere new every meal. It's also great to not have to worry about parking when visiting the historic district. We will certainly book here again.

Great location

Lil Pumpkin was very clean upon arrival. Comfortable furnishings and plush towels. The location is fantastic. 2 blocks from the beginning of St. George St. We could walk everywhere. More lighting is needed in the back bedroom and there were no kids toys or dinnerware found as advertised (grandkids came to visit). Overall the home was superb. I commend the hosts on this rental.

Weekend getaway

The cottage was perfect for anyone looking to stay close to the historic downtown area. It was clean and well stocked with everything you would need for your stay. The only minor inconvenience is the road and the parking spaces are very narrow and definitely would not accommodate a larger SUV or pickup truck. The property manager was very professional and very responsive. Overall it’s a great place and would recommend to anyone.

Great Stay in St. Augustine

We had a fantastic time in St. Augustine. The “pumpkin” house was perfectly located and a great house for two couples to stay very comfortably. We had great communication to make check in and check out very easy and the place was very clean. There seems to be a nosy neighbour that was upset about having “renters” on the street but she only spoke to us once and it did not effect the stay at all. Would highly recommend staying here!
