Wonderful Place to Stay with Perfect Setting

One of the best properties I have stayed in since using VRBO many years ago. There was great communication with the owners and the property was spotless. The only downside I can see is not having laundry facilities but not a deterrent. I would gladly stay here again.

This home is beautiful and super comfortable! The pictures posted don’t do it justice. The area is located in a beautiful apple orchard with views that are absolutely gorgeous. We saw several deer amongst the apple trees and beyond. We can’t wait to take another trip to this beautiful state and beyond doubt back to this gorgeous house!! The owners are super nice and respond promptly to any questions we had. We truly recommend this home!!

Even better in person

The house was very clean, kitchen and baths well stocked and the beds very comfortable. I was just sorry we didn't stay longer. The view from the master bedroom was so pretty and the drive up to the house through the apple trees was a treat. The host was easy to communicate with and very prompt for check in and out questions. Highly recommend - you will not be disappointed.

Amazing home with amazing views

We were looking for a place to stay that was close enough to Gettysburg but also had space for ourselves. We found the perfect home. While you could see the neighbors, you were far enough away to enjoy the privacy. The house was beautiful inside and out. The interior was better than the pictures showed, very clean. While there, we enjoyed the use of the patio and firepit. I dont think we could have found a better home for what we were looking for. Highly recommend

Phenomenon House/Property

Stayed at this property for the Gettysburg Bike Week. House is exactly as described and even better in person. Very clean, extremely roomy, and very comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and enjoyed the back patio for the evenings. Plenty of room for multiple vehicles which was a must for us. Would love to stay here again given the opportunity.

BEAUTIFUL HILLSIDE HOME WITH ORCHARD VIEWS

Our family (7 adults) enjoyed a lovely stay here over the July 4th holidays (July 4-6) to celebrate our Country’s birthday near the historic town of Gettysburg- and to celebrate our youngest son’s 35 birthday. Beautiful private hillside location overlooking an apple orchard… the one level home is quite spacious with plenty of space for our family to gather or have privacy in one of the four bedrooms… plus there is a flex room/space with a pull out bed and private doors off the dining room to make it into a five bedroom if needed (which we chose to do). Despite the 90+ degree temps in the heat of summer we kept cool and refreshed inside the home with their excellent A/C (central air) system. The gas grill was perfect for our July 4th cookout - and we imagined the fire pit would be so nice during cooler months! Large spacious bathrooms- with HUGE showers… plus a handy half bath close to the living room made our time together a breeze. The owner was very gracious and hospitable, always quick to reply with any questions… and made us feel welcome during our stay. We enjoyed visiting the Historic Round Barn, a lovely large market just down the road Hollabaugh Farm Market… we took a 1.5 hour tour of the incredible Dobbin House Restaurant- followed by a delicious lunch in their Spring Tavern… we took a virtual realty ‘tour’ at the Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad Station entitled “Tickets to the Past” Unforgettable Journey… visited Little Round Top with its amazing views, etc…

Lovely property, but disappointing conclusion

I wanted to write a glowing review about this home, but must now add a disappointed caveat. My immediate family was here for 2 nights and hosted a small 100th birthday party (approved by the hosts) for my mother. We ( mostly “older” people ) felt we took good care of the home; my (50 year old) niece even sewed up a tear she saw in the seam of their cornhole bag! It is a well-equipped and comfortable home with nice touches such as a basket of orchard apples, superb views, plenty of coffee provided, great seating, many towels, fire pit, charming patio with waterfall, etc. And the hosts are very responsive to communications. ( All that was missing was a washer/dryer.) However, two days after check-out, we were dismayed to receive a note from the host Emily stating that we had damaged the dining room paint with tape and a small red stain on one of the walls. None of us was aware of such damage before we left, and were uncertain how this be, especially as we did not use the dining room; the party occurred outside on the patio. Non-damaging baby plastic hooks were used for decorations; none was placed on that wall- all were placed high on the cross beams. For this paint damage we were billed a $125 fee! I would still recommend a stay at this beautiful home, BUT I would strongly advise a walk-through with the hosts BEFORE you leave to ensure that you don’t later face unexpected additional charges against which you will have no defense.

Amazing house on a beautiful proprerty

Incredibly gracious hosts that were strong communicators. The house must have been recently redone because everything felt new. The property was incredibly scenic and located within a 5 minute drive of a golf course. It slept our group comfortably. There is no signal, but the wifi was able to support a group of 9 without issue. The yard had enough space to play corn hole and the fire pit was great for the summer nights. We would 100% stay again. So happy we booked this spot.
