We had a lovely time at the lakeside cabin. Amber and Larry were amazing hosts who made you feel like guests in their home and even shared an amazing steak from their farm with us. The lake was gorgeous and the folks at the surround cabin and campsites were kind and respectful. Would definitely come back!
When we arrived, it was after dark and I had some trouble locating our exact cabin, but the owners were more than happy to help me to our spot. The perfect combination of making sure we were taken care of and giving us our space. The property is stunning and the views are breathtaking. Definitely would stay here again.
This was the best vacation we could have asked for. The hosts are absolutely the sweetest and it was a joy to see their family. Thank you for being so accommodating and making this trip one we will never forget ❤️. We will be back!
If you want the real deal WV camping experience you cannot do better than this spot! Wonderful people, cows roaming across the trail, mountain/lake view, the clearest stars at night, couldn’t have asked for more.
We loved this place! We stayed 2 nights. It's at a peaceful spot, and the pond is beautiful. The hosts were very nice and provided everything we needed. They even loaned us fishing stuff to use at their other pond. We definitely recommend this place and the wonderful hosts. The only downside to our stay was actually not any fault of the hosts or the property itself. There was a fairly large group camping across the pond and they were very loud all night long until about 6am. Definitely made our experience a bit less enjoyable since we didn't get much sleep the first night.
Peaceful cabin with private lake - perfect getaway
My girls (6and 9) and I had a wonderful time despite the damp weather :) The cabin has everything you need - solar lights and candles inside, tiki torches and more solar lights leading to the outhouse outside, and all that you need for cooking (kerosene stove, pans, skewers, and even a coffee pot), towels, and even snacks
If I could buy this piece of land I would call it Paradise and never leave!! This was our second time here and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Amber is a great host and each time back just keeps getting better!!! We’ve already booked our next stay!!! Highly recommend it!!!
Amber was so nice and welcoming, and the pictures do not do the property justice. There is no cell service up there but my wife and I enjoyed the relaxation and quality time spent. Would highly recommend staying, however there is to note that when visiting, a vehicle that has the capability to do a little light off road reading should be taken. Thank you Amber, we can’t wait to stay again!
We were the very first guest at this cabin and we couldn’t have asked for anything more! It was exactly what we were looking for!! If you are looking for a getaway for peace and quiet, I highly recommend this place!! Amber was extremely helpful and accommodating with all our needs!! The lake is beautiful!! We went for a row boat ride and spent all afternoon on the lake!! Soooo relaxing!!! Then we made a little camp fire and slept under the moon and stars!!! It was something you would see in a painting!!! Unbelievable!!! Highly recommended!!!

The moment I arrived at the site, even though it was dark and drizzling at 10 pm, I knew it was special. The frogs were singing and it was so beautiful. Larry brought me to the site even though it was so late. In the morning, I could not believe my eyes at the sun coming over the incredibly blue lake. I thought the blue was maybe a chemical, but Amber told me it is from limestone! Everything was perfect - the cabin was comfortable and cute and clean, the site was immaculate. I napped and read in the hammock and grilled delicious steak on the grill. I even jumped in the water despite the chilly weekend because I could not resist! It was freezing but so clean and refreshing. Larry and Amber checked in on me and I had everything I needed - except I didn't see the beaver Amber told me about! Guess I will need to come back - I can't wait!
We had a wonderful time staying in the little cabin by the beautiful blue pond on the property. It is a nice little pond that you can partially walk around, With access to a floating dock, a little boat that we took out even late at night, which was fun. We brought our two dogs and let them roam. They had a lot of fun exploring. Larry and Amber greeted us and brought us firewood and filled our tiki torches , they are good hosts. Just sitting by the fire at night and listening to the frogs was relaxing . The cabin is clean and well taken care of and has a spacious interior feel for its footprint . There is no running water but we bought a few water jugs that had spouts and used it for all our cleaning needs . There is an outhouse that is away from the cabin and is lit at night with some lights so it makes it easy to see and get to . We had a short encounter with some cows that roam the property which was an added bonus to experience. Overall it was a peaceful and relaxing time for us and our dogs .❤️
It was wonderful to get to stay here!
This place gave us the feel of real camping, with some warm touches of hospitality. The hosts were wonderfully thoughtful and hospitable. The lake is all yours when you stay here. Nice and private. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a soul care retreat or a family minication! One thing that I think should be clarified in is that there is no running water or electricity. ALthough, there are some outdoor solar lights and even some decorative indoor solar nightlights! There is an outhouse nearby that is not in the photos. They provided equipment to cook and wash dishes. They also provided a boat and rafts for the lake. They even provided an infant life jacket for my 6 month old which was very thoughtful!
The host, Amber, is very kind and quickly responded to any questions that I had.
We loved our time there. Its completely off grid and you're really out there in the woods. The lake it sits on is seriously beautiful and the woods around it are really nice. You get a boat for the lake and also a fire pit with tiki torches.
Couple notes for future renters. Bring some lights (flashlight and lanterns). Since theres no power, there are no lights besides some candles and some solar powered lights outside and it gets incredibly dark.
There is an out house and its what you would expect and got the job done.
The owner, Amber, is incredibly friendly and responsive and will help out if you need anything.
Our phones has zero service so be prepared for that. If you dont know how to use something like propane burners, make sure you learn before going cause you wont be able to google or youtube anything.
When its too cold for camping, this place is perfect to ger away and disconnect from normal society.
The place was very clean and cute.
The only thing i wish we had brought was coffee and fairy light strings to decorate the inside of the house.
If youre thinking about it, definitely go just go prepared!!!
