Family trip
We stayed with my husband, our two kids (2.5 yr and 5 months), my parents and their dog. It was a great spot for a quick family getaway! There was a pack n play crib provided with a crib sheet and lots of board games and toys for our 2.5 yr old to entertain himself with. A baby gate was also provided which was very helpful! It’s located right next to an amazing general store with handmade wooden toys. But it’s also located right off the train tracks and we could hear trains coming through the night. Thankfully it didn’t wake the kids up, but just a fair warning for lighter sleepers! My toddler loved watching the trains go by in the daytime. Check in was supremely easy and overall the place was lovely! There was also a nice outdoor space we unfortunately didn’t get to use since the weather was too rainy, but it would’ve been great.

Small town retreat
We enjoyed the convenient location of our stay in Shepherdstown! So nice to walk out the dooor and be steps away from a terrific restaurant, across the street from a fun general store and the main thoroughfare of shops and restaurants only a short walk away. So happy to have a comfortable stay where even the dog was welcome to join for the weekend.
