We couldn't have had a better time than our 3 months in Nina's house in Alameda. It was very close to Southshore Center, on the island, and we were there a lot, mostly at Trader Joe's. We rented from Jan. into April, so we had the joy of watching the beautiful blooming of bushes in the front yard, and roses in the back. Everything in the house was so convenient. If you need lots of natural light, this house sure has it. Shuttered windows are everywhere.Nina is such a gracious host, and she replied right away if we contacted her. Out of 13 winters in east bay towns, this house was our favorite, and we fell in love with Alameda. A nice activity is driving up and down the streets in Alameda, admiring the well-maintained Craftsman and Victorian houses. The ferry in Alameda will take you across to Embarcadero in SF.
This is the second year I have stayed at this wonderful one bedroom house. Everything I needed was provided the host. Nina is really right on everything and is a great help. I will be staying next year hopefully for a little longer this time.
My favorite rental of all time! We would definitely stay here again! Nina is a terrific host—very easy to contact and quick to respond. I just love this sweet little house! It’s perfect for two!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The place was just enough space with a great location, clean and exactly what the host descibed. I would 100% recommend this place to stay and I would stay again. The host was also very responsive and helpful as we were traveling from coast to coast. Come and enjoy the exceptional character of this home and Alameda.

About the host
Hosted by Nina Lesowitz
Hello, I am a long-time host on the idyllic island of Alameda! It's my favorite area - by far - in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am an author and my husband is a software architect. We both love sailing, traveling, and hosting guests from around the world.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is a delight! You can safely walk to almost every store you can think of - from chain stores to quirky boutiques to different types of grocery stores and highly-rated restaurants.
What makes this property unique
This property is not part of a duplex or a basement dwelling or a condo. It is a charming home that combines its early 20th-century building quality with brand-new appliances.
