Great location for hiking in Theodore Roosevelt National Park
This property served as an acceptable place to stay for two couples wanting to spend time at the nearby national park. The kitchen had basic cookware and dishes for 4. We were glad we didn’t need the third bedroom which is in the basement (as is second bathroom). Communication with host thru the VRBO app was good!
The property has potential, but at this time it offers the bare minimum. The listing says, "sleeps 8", yet the silverware is service for 4. Hooks in the bathrooms to hang your clothes on would be a nice improvement. The cobwebs around the front porch was not very welcoming. Simple, easy improvements would make this property a 5 star property.
This house is in a quiet neighborhood and is close to the local restaurant, gas, quick mart, and national park. The only thing that I would improve upon is the lack of chairs in the living room. We had 5 people and one couch wasn't quite enough for all to sit comfortably in the evening. Otherwise, we had a great visit.
It was a beautiful decorating. It’s just missing things like chairs to sit on. Dishes. It’s like we were the first people to stay there. Otherwise it was clean and nice.
House was clean and pretty well supplied. Driveway was kind of rough. Close to Medora - which is why we came. Beds were comfy. Some minor details could be dealt with - but overall we were happy with accommodations.
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean. Newly remodeled and decorated nicely. Very accommodating. There’s only one regular
Size couch in the living room but we knew that in advance, so we brought a blow up chair for the kids and a couple of folding chairs. I really can’t see how they could put another chair in the living room because of the shape of the room being long and narrow. We dealt with it and it was fine. We had a dog with us and the side exit was great for taking the dog out to go potty. We arrived a little early and the house was ready so the landlord let us check in a little early, which was really nice. Overall it was a great experience! I’m
This house is just what we needed, to avoid the super high prices in Medora, ND. It was convenient to both the North Unit and South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park (about 50 miles to North Unit, but no quick way there, and a beautiful drive). The host was very responsive when we didn't have check-in info sent, so no problems with check in once we talked. Host was also responsive when we reported a few problems and fixed what he could that day. There was not enough comfortable seating for 4 people in the living room, so that needs to be addressed since the house is advertised for parties larger than that. Sofa bed is not comfortable (needs a thicker mattress) so one of us slept on the couch without pulling it out, which worked ok. Difficult to find groceries, other than convenience stores in the area, unless you drive 20-30 miles to Dickinson. Overall, we really enjoyed our time in North Dakota and this house was a great value.
Came to spend a few days in Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the location for that was great. We were just a 20 minute drive from the park. House was very clean and comfortable and met all our needs. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Inside of house has been redone, new appliances and new bathrooms. Nice kitchen layout. Bedrooms a little small, but that wasn't a big deal. Location of house cannot be beat, a few miles from South Teddy Roosevelt National Park and only 55 miles to North Teddy Roosevelt Park. Also, very close to the Painted Canyon. It was a bit slow getting entry information, but Brad did send it the last day, just wish it was a bit earlier. Overall, the house was good, and it definitely served the purpose of our trip.
This was an older home that had a recent remodel and some details were not quite finished. AC worked well despite having no direct cooling to the basement bedroom.
First trip to North Dakota and Theodore Roosevelt National Park
We had a wonderful stay. The home is nicely updated and in a perfect location to the parks. We would definitely recommend this home. Thank you so much!
Older place but everything was well maintained and everything was set up and worked well. Good neighborhood with several churches around. One of the churches two or three houses down plays church bell music everynight at 8:00 p.m. for about 10-15 minutes.
