Summary:
This beautiful house is nestled in the picturesque lakes region in the town of Bridgton, Maine located at Moose Pond in the private community of Knights Hill. The association has a beach, tennis courts, and a pool for your use. Our house is 2 minutes from the association's private beach with playground, kayaks, docks, and fishing. Drive up the road 3 minutes to get to Pleasant Mountain for day or night skiing! This year-round home is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family, and it's super kid-friendly.
About the space:
This home accommodates 8-10 in beds. There are 4 bedrooms plus an office with a pull-out sofa, and there are 3 full bathrooms (showers only, no tub). There are also 2 living rooms, a large caterer's kitchen, and a dining room area. You'll have parking in a two-car garage so if it's snowy, you can avoid exposing your car to the elements. In the summer, avail yourself of our two kayaks. We also have life jackets, sports equipment, pool toys, board games, a large-screen TV with Roku (but no normal TV FYI), and most other things you might need to have a fun and relaxing escape to the Maine Lakes Region.
Located on a quiet wooded lot with easy access to our neighborhood pond (beach), pool, tennis and basketball court, and playground just a short walk or bike ride down the road. Other outdoor entertainment includes a gazebo with a hammock, a gas grill, & hiking everywhere. We raised little kids here for a few years and it's easy to keep them busy all day long, and have a bit of fun yourself in the process!
Our home features terrific open living areas with a cozy propane-stove and in home entertainment. High speed Wi-Fi throughout the house.
We provide new cozy bedding, linens, pillows, kitchen, bath & beach towels.
About the area:
Bridgton is classic Maine. You're in the woods but close to convenience: great restaurants, pubs, a brewery, a movie theatre, one of the last remaining drive-in movies, antique shops, golf, Pleasant Mountain for skiing and hiking, boutiques, art galleries, a public swimming pond, a bookstore, grocery stores, diners and more. Many summer weekends, you'll find "Music on Main", a music event that attracts local music acts and food trucks. There are tons of art shows, a circus, and other small-town New England events throughout the summer and fall.
We are 20 Minutes to the east of North Conway, 45 minutes to Story Land, 90 minutes to Santa's Village. 60 minutes to Portland. The Fryeburg Fair (1st week of October) is only 10 minutes away. And forget about traffic, we don't deal with it here!
