Beachside Colony on Tybee island, Atlantic Ocean Townhouse #09

Take a break from the world in this newly renovated, oceanfront town home! This marvelous three-bedroom, three-bath unit is beautifully outfitted in a blend of modern and “beachy” flair, and is sure to be comfortable for the entire group. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom, as well as its own private third floor balcony with an amazing sunrise view! The second bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed, while the third has a pair of twin beds and its own TV (perfect for kids!). The fully-stocked kitchen opens up into an airy living and dining area, with seating at the table for 6 and plenty of cozy chairs from which to look out at the beach through the floor-to-ceiling sliding-glass doors. A sleeper sofa in the living room. The balcony also has table and chairs from which you can enjoy the view as you sip your coffee in the mornings. This town home does not allow pets.

This town home has a 2 car garage and an additional parking spot for one guest. It also offers washer and dryer, full kitchen with all full size appliances, linens, private WiFi connection, and cable.

Our resort encompasses an entire oceanfront block and allows for the easiest beach and pool access on Tybee. The brand new pools include a large heated pool for year round enjoyment, as well as an even larger family-friendly sloping entry pool. Outdoor lounge seating completes the pool area along with a walk-up bar and restaurant at the onsite restaurant, The Deck Bar and Kitchen. Air-conditioned bathrooms and outdoor showers at the beach entrance make your visit even more enjoyable.

Beachside Colony Resort & Vacation Rentals offers the only on-site rental office on the island, open 7 days a week, and ready to help you with any information or tour booking that you need. Our resort is located on the beach, right in the middle of Tybee Island, a spot that puts it one mile from the pier, the hub of the island’s shopping and nightlife, and one mile from the Tybee Light Station, one of only 7 colonial-era lighthouses still in use in America. Directly across the street is Tybee's Memorial Park and our YMCA. This park features tennis, volleyball, basketball, and an amazing playground for kids of all ages as well as picnic and grill areas which can host small to large family gatherings. The island's library is also just across the street.

There are many restaurants within a short walking- or driving-distance, but after a long day on the beach, we invite you to enjoy The Deck Beach Bar and Grill; not only is it right in the middle of the resort, it is the only true beachfront dining experience on Tybee!

Nice view

Condo was clean and the location was good. The view from the balconies was as good as it gets for east coast beaches. Be aware that there are a lot of steps to get to the bedrooms though. Two of the bedrooms are on the 3rd level, which has a long set of steep stairs. This won't be an issue for most, but we had grandparents with, so it was a bit challenging for them.

Fun run-cation at Tybee Island!

Five of us women stayed here for a long weekend trip that included participating in a run at Fort Pulaski. The condo was perfect for us - plenty of space, bedrooms and bathrooms. We really enjoyed the balconies and hanging out around the table and sitting area. The location is perfect and safe. We enjoyed a couple of long walks, one on the beach and one in a nearby neighhorhood and great restaurants. There's a souvenir shop across the street which came in handy. Perfect stay!

Quiet and beautiful

The on site restaurant was so good we hardly cooked. House views are beautiful. Nice quiet location but still super easy to get to shopping and savannah. Great place!

Great location beautiful views

Great location, views were beautiful, plenty of room and nice to have garage but its tight so unless you are driving a sedan or smaller you will have to park outside the garage. didn't realize when i booked there were so many stairs - tall staircase from garage to main floor and tall to second level bedrooms. Wore us out a bit and not fun with groceries, suitcases etc. but we used the exercise to justify the meals we ate! Food at onsite restaurant was delicious.

things to consider

while this property is pet friendly, the beach is not, you can not take your dog on the beach. Also, there's 3 levels to this condo, so if you have weak/bad knees, this is not a place for you because there's no way out but to go up and down steep stairs. It's a beautiful condo, just has it's challenges.

It was a little dated and could use some upgrades. Neither of the sliding doors locked. The cleaner that was used on the floor left a very sticky, slippery film and didn’t feel clean. The master bedroom mattress was extremely uncomfortable. By the third night, our backs hurt so bad we didn’t even want to go to bed!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time to Tybee/Savannah and it won't be the last! This place is a GEM! Townhome was fully stocked and had everything our family of 5 needed. The property was gorgeous and we were just steps from the beach. Sunrises from the balconies were our favorite. The restaurant on-site was an extra perk. My only suggestion is maybe a curtain on the main floor doors. At the same time, the view was breathtaking. The sun was a little bright in the am for the person sleeping on the pull-out. Not a downfall by any means. Also, we weren't aware we could park in the garage (which made the neighbors mad) but a quick phone call from the manager and we moved our second vehicle in. All in all, I would say we will definitely be back to this beautiful place!

Easy access to beach 3 story condo with garage

Easy access to the beach was important and appreciated. The one car garage was useful for my husband’s bike storage. This would not be a good rental for someone who can’t easily climb stairs. Proximity to a bar and restaurant next-door came in handy many times. The king size bed in the primary was a bit too firm for my taste, but my husband was fine; two twin beds we’re comfortable, and the queen size bed on the main level was very soft, comfortable. Ocean view was great. There are two balconies. Wi-Fi service was spotty at times and difficult for my husband during the workday but he got through it with work arounds. There are many pots and pans to choose from for cooking. We added a cookie sheet for future guests. Plastic wrap and plastic, baggies or Tupperware would be a benefit to any future guests but it is not typical to find them in rentals. We left the ones we bought. I appreciated that they were bars of soap to start out with and plenty of toilet paper and shampoo and conditioner. The clothes washer and dryer worked well and detergent was left for us to use which was nice. The dryer vent had not been clean for a while so I cleaned that out. Towels were very soft and bedding was high quality. I would definitely stay at this rental again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I rented last minute,looking for a place to relax for a few days prior to moving our son from Georgia to Indiana. We didn't need all this room, but like I said, last minute. So happy we rented this lovely town home. First of all, we love Beachside Colony. We've been there several times and rented different units. This unit has a garage that could possibly fit two vehicles (front to back). You come in the front door, then up stairs to the main level with a great balcony and ocean view. Then up stairs to the top level. Another fantastic ocean view on a balcony from the master bedroom. The washer and dryer are a plus (stacked unit). And our favorite place to eat, "The Deck", is right on the property. We had some drinks outside at the bar, then a great dinner our first night there. The staff at the restaurant are always great and the food is fantastic. If you like grouper, you won't be disappointed. We're thinking of bringing some family down with us the next time, as this place is fantastic. There are beach chairs and toys for the kids in the garage. There are also beach chairs with umbrellas to rent for $40 from a separate business. But I think they only set up on Thursdays to Sundays. We loved our stay and look forward to returning to Beachside Colony again.

Nice Townhome on Beach

Great beach location. We used a beach chair/umbrella service for ease, but condo had some. Located north of the chaos of south end of island, this is a perfect spot for a peaceful retreat. Only changes I'd suggest would be add a dish drainer to the kitchen and rethink the Primary bedroom furniture. Lack of chest of drawers was inconvenient for a 2 night stay, but would be very annoying for a longer one. Xtra long bedside table (looked like old sofa end table) equaled bruised shins in the middle of the night. Also, more than 2 or 3 hangars per closet if you aren't providing drawers for clothes. Otherwise, we really liked this townhome and would rent again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good: The location is great. Short walk to the beach, outdoor shower, large garage with room to park and store beach toys. Lots of stairs. The stairs to the top floor are steep and narrow. We didn’t let our kids go down them alone. Cleaners need to use mops, the floors were gritty and our feet were black just after unloading our car when we got there. I know it’s hard to get up all the sand but looks like they just swifter the place between guests and that doesn’t cut it. Bathrooms need updating. The tubs are gross and old. Didn’t feel clean after giving our kids a bath in them.
