lack of cleanliness

There is a strong smell of dirt in the cottage, coming from the very old rugs, the cabinets and the ventilation system. One couch was very dirty. There was very dusty curtains. The AC was very noisy and was changed during are stay. The kitchen cabinets were messy and several kitchen ustensils were greassy and dirty. There is holes in de walls and cabinet sealing. The owner offert us a 500$ reimbursement for the trouble but never gave it. I would never pay the price asked for a so dirty cottage.

Poor Experience

Do not stay at this property. I contracted scabies from my stay here and started experiencing symptoms 4 days after leaving. After communicating my concern to the owner, I was told that it was my fault and that I should have washed and dried the linens if I thought there was an issue. I found this response to be disappointing given I didn't know there were scabies in the linens at the time of my stay (scabies are not visible to the naked eye). To protect future travelers I am giving this review. Avoid this place at all costs.

Orleans cottage charming!

Loved this cottage and its old time charm-knotty pine, peaceful view, comfortable furniture, outdoor shower, pet friendly. I love to swim, so the bonus was Meeting House Pond down the road- basically a boat launch and salt water- not fancy beach but warmish water. If you have a canoe or kayak you should bring it! Less than an hour to Provincetown. We will be back!
