Good House Bad Management
Overall, the house itself was great — it was clean, spacious, had a nice big backyard, and was just a short walk to the beach, which we really appreciated. It was the perfect setup for our group, and we enjoyed the property itself.However, the management experience left a lot to be desired. We booked this trip back in January, and just two weeks before our scheduled arrival, we were told there was actually someone staying there on our first day, and we would have to start our trip a day later. This was frustrating, but we tried to be understanding. We asked repeatedly about getting compensated with an extra day at the end of our stay (since the house wasn’t booked after us) and were told we would be granted a free day — but ultimately, we never received it and ended up paying full price.On top of that, when we arrived after an 18-hour drive, the code we were given to access the house didn’t work. We had to wait an hour and a half in the driveway until we finally got a response. After all of this, we were given a 25 Amazon gift card as a gesture, which frankly felt like a small consolation for all the hassle.I would recommend the house for its location and layout, but I would strongly caution future guests to be prepared for communication and booking issues with the management team.
