About this property

This rare find in the Pali Ke Kua condominium complex has no one above or below you. Our mountain view remodeled home has it all. The exotic foliage creates a very private and quiet setting that looks out over the tropical gardens onto the mountains with distant waterfalls. The elegant carved mahogany Cal King master suite upstairs has a new (2023) memory foam mattress. The downstairs suite includes two queen beds with memory foam mattress toppers. Relaxing pool, hot tub and restaurant are far enough away to not be heard but close enough to be convenient. And also close by is the private path to the beach as well as the ocean bluff which offers magnificent sunset views. Being an easy walk to the new 1 Hotel at Hanalei Bay, you could also enjoy their dining options or take the public stairs down to the beach their guests enjoy that overlooks the Bay. This location has it all.

Have a picnic at the barbecue area along the beach path or enjoy the pool and hot tub within Pali Ke Kua. If you prefer a round of golf, the 27-hole Makai course designed by Robert Trent Jones is within walking distance or a short 3-minute drive. Nearby are restaurants, multiple beaches, walking and jogging paths, and shopping. This is your complete tropical vacation!

Kawai Extra Family Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were here on a larger family trip. This unit was used to house the "kids" while the adults stayed cliff side. So for that purpose, it was excellent. The claim of partial ocean view was pretty creative, we never found it. I guess it can pe expected in any tropic climate, but there were quite a few "palmeto" bugs. Overall we were very happy with the property.

Pali ke Kua #9 Princeville

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Aloha. Our experience (2 couples in their 50’s) was overall really great. The location is convenient, unit was clean and well-stocked. One odd thing, the upper bedroom smells like campfire. The smell never really went away. Also, Ocean front prop management sends way too many emails and their push to get yet another app is annoying. It would have been super helpful if the info they suggested we print out explained where the pool key was! Otherwise, all good! Mahalo!

Good Property that could be great with a few changes

We enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is very nice. Quick walk to wonderful ocean and mountain views. Property management company was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The property itself is clean, but the furniture was stained and needs a deep cleaning or to be replaced. We had read a prior review that stated this, so we packed a sheet to put over the furniture so we could sit on it. The dresser in the master bedroom should be replaced as it smells like a campfire (we purchased an odour remover to see if it would help). Beds were okay. We were disappointed that there were no beach chairs or cooler, but prior to arriving they did tell us that these were not guaranteed. With a few changes and upgrades this property could definitely be 5 stars! We would stay here again.

Surfing & Snorkeling with Kids & Grandkids

The wild bird and ne-nes were entertaining to watch.We could here the surf at night. This condo gave us close access to surfing beaches east and west. Also Annini Beach was close by for snorkeling with the turtles. There are several good places to eat fairly close by like The Dolphin.

Expected more

I love Pali Ke Kua and have stayed in various condos many times. I was surprised to arrive and find the condo a bit run down and in need of a remodel. Management was kind and fixed a few things to make our stay better. The patio chairs were dirty and stained so they went unused. The living room furniture was also stained and uncomfortable. Despite this, our visit to Kauai was enjoyable.

I hadn’t realized when I booked it that there was no A/C but plenty of fans were provided and we all slept great! The area was gorgeous and we always felt safe walking around. This is the perfect place to stay if you love sunsets!
