Lovely Stay
The perfect house for 4 of us. We spent the days touring the city and the house is located conveniently to the train which made it very easy to get around. The neighborhood is a very quiet street. Walkable to groceries and meals if we didn’t want to get on the train. We would stay there again.

Fun experience in Boston!
We loved the old with the new. The beautiful old tile, etc adds charm to the home. The touches of red are fun. We even had a guitar available! We enjoyed the basket of goodies.

Awesome spot perfect for a family trip
The house was the perfect gathering spot for 6 of us visiting my sister in Boston. Very comfortable bedrooms for everyone and loved that there were 3 full bathrooms. The main bathroom with the rainfall shower was AMAZING, even though there were other bathroom options we all fought over that one :)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I absolutely loved this house. Very cute and clean and QUIET! I used the Jacuzzi tub/bubble bath and I have never been so relaxed. This trip was for my birthday and Boston did not disappoint. If I ever make my way back up I will be staying here again. ❤️

Great place!
Plenty of space and very comfortable. The hosts stocked us with bottled waters and snacks, very appreciated. Neighbors were a bit noisy for bedtime, but not terribly so. Very comfortable and great location away from the rat race.

Home with lots of character
The house was so cool because it was old but had some new stuff as well. The owner is amazing, we had trouble with the air conditioning and he was on top of the problem and didn't rest until it was fixed. It was nice to have 3 full baths and one is huge. Nice living space on the top floor with ample seating. One thing that needs attention are the interior doors and handles. A dishwasher would be nice if you're planning on using the kitchen much. All in all a nice place.

Perfect Accommodations for Team
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and property for our team traveling from west coast to conference in Boston. We each had our privacy, while being to meet upstairs for meals and conference calls.

Perfect location and clean accommodations. We were a bit disappointed bc the master shower/jacuzzi did not get hot water. I contacted the host who responded quickly. A plumber was supposed to come out to check the plumbing but never showed. There were 2 other showers to use but just a bit disappointed

Historical
Our owner, Christopher, host was a delight. We learned that this really old property was owned by the Irish chef of police of Boston. A lot of stairs to climb. Nice kitchen/family room. It’s an old house that needs some minor fixing up and a lot of attention to small details be an overall five star property. The location is only 5 to 6 miles from downtown Boston and the airport but during rush hour the commute is a real challenge. Plenty outlets for our electronics. More than most hotels.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY
This is a multi unit property which we knew BUT there is no way to lock the door that connects the two properties. The man staying in the connecting property could get into ours and we have kids. NOT safe at all and the listing did not say connecting properties. STAY AWAY

Could be nice….
The home is an old and interesting looking home, however it needs some work. There were very large ants throughout the home, upon arrival an old sandwich that was moldy was left in the bedroom refrigerator, there is a hole above the light fixture in a bedroom. The beds are like sleeping on a wooden platform. There were extra pillows in the closets however some had blood stains on them and we could not find any extra pillowcases. The right sink in the main bathroom would not drain, and the water temperature in the shower is never constant, would go from cold to hot constantly. The cleanliness of the home could use some work as there is cobwebs throughout, the numerous artificial plants were covered in dust, crumbs in the couch. There are a significant amount of steps in the home that should be more noted in the listing as a warning to people with knee/joint issues. The layout is not at all conducive for families. There were snacks provided in the kitchen, however they were all expired. With all that being said however, the house is in a quiet, safe neighborhood and does have plenty of room.

First time in Boston
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is located in Dorchester, MA. 26 minutes from most major locations in and around town. The home is as advertised, decently clean and very quiet and spacious. Parking is available on the street in front of the home. The home itself is an older home, and has some character. Some of the amenities do not work — the Kuerig did not work, the TVs in the bedroom didn’t properly connect, and one of the lamps in the bedroom didn’t charge a device using a USB cord. There are plenty of towels to use, and the washer and dryer are new and work well. The home is safe place to stay. Good value for the price paid. So long Boston, until we meet again.

Number 5 Saco Street is a great place to stay in Boston
There were four of us - two single women, and the overseas parents of a young man graduating from the Berklee School of Music. We all loved our Saco Street apartment. it was very clean, tidy, and well appointed. The bedrooms are all on the second floor - three bedrooms and two full baths. Each bedroom has a queen size bed, its own mini fridge, a large screen, smart TV, and a new Mitsubishi split unit heating /cooling system. The beds were comfortable, one was especially firm. The bathrooms were interesting with painted wall/shower murals, and intricate tiling. This is an older home which has been renovated, and much of its original charm has been maintained, or perhaps improved on, in our opinion. The stairs were refinished, new windows, nicely painted, plenty of closet and storage space. The wooden floors are a bit creaky, and walking around late at night might awaken a light sleeper. The galley kitchen and large open seating area is on the third floor. it is quite comfortable with several sofas and a couple of armchairs and a a large smart TV. We didn’t cook much, eggs and toast for breakfast, coffee, and tea. But the kitchen is well equipped, and preparation of meals would not be difficult. We like the neighborhood - there are Vietnamese, Thai, in Asian fusion restaurants, nearby, as well as pizza and burger places. Grocery shopping is several blocks away and the red line metro station that connect you throughout the Boston area is about a 10 minute walk.

Lots of space, good value
Although the house, rental process and neighborhood has some issues, we overall enjoyed the space and our stay there. We really appreciated all the space (on the second and third floor of the house - the first floor is another unit) that the home offers. We also liked that it comes with off-street parking, that the kitchen is well equipped and that there was a stash of cereals and snacks. And we love that it's dog friendly, even though we didn't bring our dogs. On the downside, the list uses a service called Vacasa in addition to Vrbo. I guess that's in order to reduce the work for the owner. But it meant we got double emails for the same subjects, and when we did reach out to Vacasa (just once), we didn't hear back for two days, which was after when we needed the answer, and they didn't accommodate our request anyway. Big pain. Regarding the house, there are some funky room configuration things. Most of them have their own digital locks, TVs and fridges, and it feels a bit like a rooming house. There are also a number of rough edges, so to speak, where you can tell a lot of the work was done DIY (do it yourself). And one of the showers wouldn't get hot and the toilets didn't flush well. Lastly, the neighborhood is so-so. It seems reasonably safe, but there are some properties nearby that are pretty rough. Again, overall we were happy with our stay and would consider staying there again.
