We rented this property for a weekend get away for my daughters 7th bday to go skiing and snowboarding as well as snowtubing. This property did not disappoint for our stay and the accommodations that were made for us were amazing. Kathy was a wonderful host
Highly recommend this beautiful mountain home. Had to wait for cleaning crew to finish after check-in but this was out of the host’s control. Very responsive communication with the host who refunded part of the cleaning fee. Lots of room to spread out with 6 teenagers and 6 adults. The pool table and hot tub were a hit! Beautiful indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit with provided wood which was appreciated! Great location for nearby tubing at Hawksnest.
The location and home were wonderful- we stayed in this same house 2 years ago but understand that there is a new owner. The updates were great and the owner was so accommodating by keeping us posted of things. With six grandkids and five adults- the house is perfect for us. Will definitely be back!
It is our family tradition to celebrate Christmas in the mountains. We had a wonderful time. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. Our 3 granddaughters really enjoyed the bunk beds. The guys played several games of pool. Location was great.
Room and activities for the whole family. We played lots of games around the large dining room table. Kids enjoyed the pool table. Home just a couple of miles from Hawksnest Tubing which was our destination.
The house is beautiful. The community is great, we love the Seven Devils community. Upon our arrival the floors were a little dirty (4 stars) on cleanliness but everything else was spotless. Owner was contacted about the floors and was very apologetic and refunded some money. There are 2 ponds within walking distance to the house and the kids loved fishing. Otter falls hiking trail is also a short drive away and is a easy hike. My 3 year old was able to hike the whole thing. Overall a great house to stay at.
We absolutely loved the cabin, the snack basket was a hit for the teenagers, the games were a hit as well. We loved being able to bring our pup with us, it made our trip so much nicer having her there. The cabin is closed to everything, definitely recommend the Alpine coaster! We will be back for a longer stay next time!
House was great - not to far from all the activities we participated in - zip line , coaster ride , winery , axe throwing , and arcade ! Mike’s Inland Seafood was excellent !
Beautiful home nestled in the Mountains! Very well equipped with everything you need for a home away from home stay. Lots of room for the family to get together and still have separate private spaces. The best porch for outdoor relaxing. Highly recommend this home for a family retreat.
We thoroughly enjoyed this trip! The house was great and well stocked. The host, Kathy responded quickly to any questions we had. Overall, I would highly recommend this house for a family vacation!
It was awesome to just spend some lesiure time with our daughter's families. Had plenty of space for everyone. Little disappointed in dog run area. Some people obviously don't clean up their dog mess. My adventurous dog got into something & threw up followed by falling on side & twitching. 1 and only time ever did that.
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the cozy atmosphere and stunning surroundings. The hot tub was a dream after a day of skiing, and the fireplace added the perfect touch of warmth on chilly evenings. The fire pit was perfect for s’mores and was a hit with the kids, creating cherished memories around the fire. The downstairs area was a haven for the kids, providing endless entertainment options and some peace and quiet for the adults. Plus, the proximity to skiing and hiking trails made it the ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts. This cabin truly has it all – comfort, convenience, and endless adventure opportunities. We can’t wait to come back!”
Beautiful cozy cottage in excellent location in the high country. Great for family of 8-10! Only suggestion I would make is gas logs w a blower in fireplace would have been great. Keeping a fire going and then dealing w the cleanup is laborious.
We were close to tubing, skiing and Grandfather Mountain. Trips into Boone and Blowing Rock were also quick. We enjoyed cooking, walking and using the hot tub at the house. Plenty of room for the whole family.
We had 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids) and could have easily added a few more and still felt like we had plenty of space! The cabin is very well laid out so people can hang out together (all 8 of us easily fit at the table with room to spare) or can hang out in separate spaces. (The older kids loved the loft with the pool table. )Cabin kitchen is very well appointed and we cooked all meals in house during the week we stayed. Location is also great it’s close to skiing resorts in winter and hiking and town activities! Host instructions and communication are clear and perfectly timed. We will definitely be back!
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to bring the family for a long weekend get away. The host was the best and we’ll stay there again in the future!
This house was amazing! Great set up for our family…Kids had their area down stairs and the adults were able to have the main level and top level. Beds were comfy and house had everything you could possibly need and more. Hope to be able to rent this property next trip to the Boone area.
Everything was super nice. The house is very dog friendly (although we didn’t take ours on this trip since we were going to the homecoming game at App State) and it’s extremely kept up and clean. The hot tub area is very private and the neighborhood is really cute. We will definitely rent this house again on our next trip to Boone.
My husband, our son and daughter-in-law and 4 of our grandchildren vacationed here for 4 nights. The home is more beautiful than the pictures can portray. The layout of the house is perfect for big families with varying ages and/or two to three separate families. Everyone had plenty of space and had no problem having privacy as well as togetherness when wanted. There was a welcome basket with snacks and everything we needed to make s’mores around the fire pit. The pool table was also a big hit with our grown son and 3 of our grandchildren. The hot tub was wonderful for everyone as well. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. There were an abundance of amenities that are too many to name. Everything about the cabin was perfect! We are all looking forward to our next trip to the Boone area and staying here again! The host is extremely nice and very accommodating! Just the right amount of communication as needed which is always appreciated!
