About this property

Briarwood Homestead (Hocking Hills)

This 1800’s remodeled farmhouse is a perfect retreat for families. It’s located on a farm with access to our fully stocked private lake. The property features a full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, loft, bathroom (shower only), laundry room and a hot tub. You may relax around the fire pit or on one of the private porches. Pet friendly. (All pets need listed on the reservation. There is a $50 fee for pets. Max 2 pets allowed.) We are centralized to all of the local attractions. Hocking Hills State Parks, Lake Hope State Parks, Old Man’s Cave and many more attractions are a short drive from this property.

The following games are available outside. Volleyball, Horseshoes and Cornhole. You and your family may also enjoy our live animals on our farm. We also have a large stocked pond for our guests. We do not provide fishing gear. Guests are allowed to bring their kayaks and golf carts.

Dozen of Rose's ($89.99) - One dozen roses in a vase with greenery and baby's breath. Roses will be in your cabin upon arrival. Color based upon availability.

It was fine, the hottub's heater wasn't working, we couldn't use it ,and no direct tv in bedroom.

It is very clean, nice area, spadious, nice hot tub. Cons:There are NO MIRRORS in any room except the one bathroom and it is installed way to high. Weird smell from the septic system. Low water pressure in the shower. Literally, Nowhere to hang clothes or coats. Closets with no hanging bar, not a single one. The bonus space is like sitting in a sauna, you literally cannot sleep in it. The kitchen revamp is not impressive. Stove covers usable cabinet space. It is old and the make-over could have been soooo much better! It has lots of potential but needs more to make me come back. We did have a great vacation and it is located in a decent area!

Weekend Getaway

Enjoyed our weekend. A little further out than we wanted but ended up being perfect. Nice setting. House with lots of character. Bonus.. Dogs got to come!
