Beware! The red flags started as soon as we arrived. Employee for the company that owns the apartment met us with multi-page contract . surprises included request to pay utilities for the month, additional taxes that we previously paid, and large deposit requested. It felt very uncomfortable.There are four locks to get into the apartment, and the last lock did not work. We repeatedly tried to contact the company the first few days with no response. Ghosted! In addition to a host, there was an another company (not VRBO) seemed to be about reservations/money. they were the ones that had contact with Host. if I contacted them, they responded politely but did not follow through. AC unit in living area had problems and leaked water down the wall. The water turned the art work and wall moldy. (see photos) We both have allergies and this caused a serious health problem. other inconveniences included one bathrooms so small and lacking privacy, it was barely usable. Necessity to walk through one bedroom to get to the second bedroom. Unable to use the outside space. the furniture already put away for the season. we had to fight for the return of deposit (including reaching out to VRBO) One of the problems sighted for not returning our full deposit, was damage to the outside space when in fact we couldn’t use it. Not all bad. Location great and furnishings nice. The kitchen nicely appointed and more then met our needs.We will definitely return to Florence, not this unit
