Fishing trip
Ideal for what we were looking for—affordable, lakefront, and relatively secluded. Fishing was good with lots of medium sized bass and bluegills, good northern, and a couple muskies.

Peace in the pines
The property was very clean and quiet. The cabin was Set up with things we needed to enjoy our stay . The lake is just a short walk away and the fishing was pretty good. We did better off the dock than in the boat. It is definitely a place I would go to again.

Just beautiful
Our family of 5 stayed for 3 days in early August. The property and lake was stunning. The cabin was perfect old-school, up-north feel. And soooo clean! Everything we needed was provided which was nice. A few snafus with wifi and grill, but nothing major. The little beach area was perfect for kids, and the 2 docks were great. Would definitely visit again.

Great little cabin for a getaway
The cabin was a cute little cabin that provided us everything we needed for our stay. There was a little bait shop just up the road, so that was super convenient as well. Boat launch was close by and the provided dock made securing the boat super easy. Large lot for dropping the trailer was also nice. We would totally rent this place again. The master suite was plenty big, the bunk beds looked like they would work great for 8+ year old kids. Very pretty views and sounds from the cabin deck and docks.

Great Find
Excellent experience in all regards. Hospitality and property top drawer. For a genuine northern woods experience, check this booking out. Looking for great fishing? Here you go. If available, would be a terrific Fall "leaf colors" stay.

Quiet Northwoods lake
Fishing and hiking was goal. First day beautiful early fall day about 73 and partly sunny. Caught a few bass and enjoyed the beautify lake that had little development and hope it stays that way! Cabin was perfect for location with so many other lakes to explore if bringing own boat, kayak or canoe. Hiking trails and Chippewa National Forest is awesome!

About the host

We are from Southern Minnesota but enjoy the great outdoors of Northern MN. We enjoy the southern Minnesota landscape, growing season (as gardeners and raising honeybees, chickens and ducks on our farm), and hunting. We have roots on Lake Pokegama in Grand Rapids and started exploring real estate in northern Minnesota in 2022 which brought us right back to the itasca area. It is our gift to Minnesota, our family, friends, and prior tenants, to offer a lake side estate with premium hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities.

Why they chose this property

It was a tough decision to start spearheading property in northern Minnesota. The biggest question was, "where to start?". What town, what lake, why, how far to drive, who do we have to help us, how much are we willing to fork out? After many ups and downs, we had connected with owners who were ready to sell their family Estate property. The family who we purchased the property from hosted Flowers on Spider, a local greenhouse, for a number of years. Their family had a good presents in the community, and their family is still neighboring to the homestead Estate, but ultimately, we knew that we wanted to find a place nestled in the Chippewa National Forest. The towering pines, the fresh snowfalls, the wildlife, magical fall colors, premier fishing, its all a true breath of fresh air.

What makes this property unique

When we all are searching for a vacation, I think we all have a bottom line to relax and do something we enjoy. The Pine Ridge cabin is modern with an old school vintage flair. It has "just enough", if not MORE! It is cozy, romantic, and it sure has that up north cabin feel. The kids will enjoy the modern amenities but also the experience of camping at a cabin.

This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a premium fishing lake or cabin life at a reasonable rate. It's a private retreat, with room to wander, two docks to enjoy lake views, and a great space to hang out with family and friends for a weekend or week long hunting trip. Take in the towering pines while watching the sun set over the lakeside views.

We will be opening the Spider Lake Estate Lodge for winter booking soon. If you enjoy snowmobiling, ice fishing, or snowshoeing, we have the accommodations to fit your winter vacation!
