Great location

This is a great spot for access to the beach. Wonderful amenities like fireplace and hot tub. Bunk beds and game room would be great for kids.Stairs to main living area are a bit steep for anyone with access issues. We had a great stay.

Perfect Beachfront Getaway

Great location right on the beach. Hot tub was a major hit for us. Very spacious and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend this place 5 Stars!

Rockaway Beach

Very nice home, a bit dated and had a few broken items in the house. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Special getaway

The home was literally on the dunes ( no stairs or climbing over rocks to get to the Sandy Beach…) the hot tub was a plus at night- even though we had incredible weather our entire stay. I’m a born and raised Oregonian - I have been going to the beach for years and years and years since I was a little tiny girl-this was really special.. Rockaway is a little remote.. but we felt it was absolutely worth it..

5 star location, house not as much

There is a 3 star review about the house from Ana G that I saw after we made our reservation and before we came down to the house. I specifically emailed to say the review had raised concerns for me and I wanted to know if the issues had been addressed (torn screens, worn out towels and sheets). I got a response from Owen B that all the issues has been addressed. But..that was not the case. The house is comfortable, the heat and wifi work well. But the towels are thin and rough, the sheets are old, not at all soft, and covered with pilling, and the screens were still torn. It turns out there were supposed to be brochures on a table in the living room - but they weren't there. It feels like the house gets a slap and a promise cleaning but there is a lack of someone really taking care of it. When we pulled up, I noticed that there is a letter missing in the sign "Aliyah's retreat". It struck me that it was missing and that is what it all feels like - not enough attention to detail and upkeep and no accountability for making sure things are in place - like repaired screens, local info, and new towels and sheets. The location is 5 star for sure and it would be so great if the house was as well. The kitchen appears to be well stocked and most things were OK but we noted no salad spinner, veggie peeler that was so dull it was unusable and the knife we tried to use instead was no better. If you reserve the house, be prepared to find only one ounce of Dove shampoo, on

Great location but run down in desperate need of repair

Loved the location right on the sand of a magnificent beach. But, the house has not been properly maintained. Appliances all need to be replaced, sheets and towels are worn thin - need to be replaced. The cookware is cheap - easily scratched - that is the new ones brought to us as the old ones went immediately into the trash. The house cleaning was terrible - found food under the couch, dust everywhere. Carpets dirty and worn thin - beyond repair. The screens on the doors all had tears.

Beautiful view

The view and beach access are perfect! The house is older and feels/smells old. Landscape is wild but we enjoyed being tucked away from the traffic and people.

Sweet getaway!

This property was lovely and ideal for a little beach getaway BUT it recently has had guests who improperly utilized the wood fireplace and it wreaks of smoke smell upstairs.

Oceanfront house with beach access

Aliyah is in a nice quiet neighborhood bordering the beach. Access to the beach is on a path right off the back deck with a short walk to the actual beach. The hot tub off the back deck is a plus though it would have been nice to have a wind break as it is out in the open. If you want to use the fireplace, you will need to bring kindling and paper, though there is a large supply of firewood in the downstairs closet. The beds and couches were quite comfortable and there were box fans in the two upstairs bedrooms. Neither bathroom has ventilation, though the upstairs one has a window. The friend who stayed downstairs complained about a mildew smell which also could be because of no ventilation in the bathroom or laundry area. The dryer wasn't working but I had received a message prior to our trip advising of that fact. The staircase has shallow steps so we took the path on the right side of he house to access the doors off the back deck when taking our suitcases to the 2nd floor. The rug in front of the 2nd floor sink needs to have a skid proof backing as I slipped on it. It would be nice to have a griddle in the kitchen for pancakes. The cookware was rather worn but there was a large selection of spices. It was nice to sit on the back deck and watch the sunset.

Sweet old-school beach cottage on Manhattan Beach/Rockaway Beach

What a cool property! Beautiful Douglas fir trim throughout the main (upper) level with A-framed ceilings. Amaaaazing views of the ocean from the living-dining-kitchen area and deck, and a path straight to the beach. Plenty of room to spread out (we had 5 people, but it would certainly handle a couple more.) Lovely long, quiet beach, perfect for long walks and beachcombing, and great for kite flying! Very comfy beds with plenty of extra bedding at the end of the day. If you need cutting edge "curated" beach housing with sterile shiny everything that is indistinguishable from your downtown condo, this isn't it, but for those of us who grew up in the days of comfy beach cottages with kids running in and out and a warm family feel, this is it. And oh yes, there's a washer and dryer! And the wifi works great!! There's a small market/ convenience store in Rockaway Beach that will cover 80% of your needs, but I want to give a shout-out to a legit grocery store 15 minutes to the north up 101 in Manzanita called Manzanita Fresh Foods (an IGA store.) It has pretty much everything that you forgot to pack, and the prices weren't bad at all for a beach setting. For a break from the beach, check out the Rockaway Big (Cedar) Tree Trailhead toward the southern end of the town of Rockaway Beach, on the inland side. There is an elevated boardwalk that takes you over a wetlands area with native plants - about a mile total from the parking lot and back, but very easy access for everyone, including anyone with mobility issues (including wheelchair users), and a lovely look at the native ecosystem of this portion of the Oregon coast. Recommended for people looking for a lazy, laid-back beach stay.

Gorgeous View

The house has everything you need, but who cares? The view and location are the reasons why you would rent this house. Being able to view the sunset from the back porch, right off the main living area, or from the hot tub, is amazing.

What a view!

If you are looking for a great view and a short, easy hike to the beach then this house would fit the bill. Rain and thunderstorms were in the forecast for our stay, but instead we had beautiful weather with amazing sunsets. Didn't see the sun hit the horizon, but came close each evening! Just beautiful skies. The kitchen is very well stocked with any and all pots and pans and utensils you need. The hot tub was nice, but lacks pressure so the jets weren't as powerful as we like. The deck including the gas grill and Adirondack chairs were well used by us. The beds upstairs were very comfortable. We slept great! The couches are not comfortable. We were worried about having just the one bathroom upstairs, but we managed. The stairs to the downstairs which is also where you park your cars in the driveway are a little narrow and steep which can be challenging for some. We enjoyed going into town and hope to come back to Rockaway Beach one day.

Aliyah's Oasis was an amazing place for our vacation at the coast. The space was great - everything clean and well stocked. The fireplace was awesome (bring some dry wood!). The deck and hottub were in constant use. The view and access to beach just simply can't get any better! Great place Great stay.

Needs lots of repair! Good location

Cracked tub floor, 2 broken dining chairs, missing cords on electronics, chirping smoke detector, cobwebs in every room, 4 light bulbs burned out, poor lighting on outside entry door and keypad, coffee pot took 2 hours to brew one pot, and after multiple calls and texts to Vacasa, nobody showed up to fix any of it. Yes, the location is great, but we will not be staying here or at any Vacasa properties again.
