The Monkton Library Cottage was the perfect spot for us to stay while visiting our son and family. It was clean, cozy and equipped with everything we needed for making soup to bring to a family dinner. We won't hesitate to book again!Teri from Connecticut
We loved staying at this cottage! Perfect for the two of us, while we visited our daughter who couldn’t come home for her Thanksgiving break from UVM. The furnishings, and decor were perfect and we were able to come back at the end of the day to a warm and cozy place!! We will definitely return!
My wife and I had our honeymoon in Vermont and stayed at thjs quaint cottage. It was the perfect getaway for the two of us. The cottage was very nice and communication with the owner was easy.
The Library Cottage met and exceeded our expectations. It was cozy, clean, welcoming and very well stocked. A perfect place for us to stay while visiting our Vermont family. We will definitely be booking again.
We enjoyed our anniversary stay at the cottage. It’s the perfect spot in the country for a couple. Well equipped and decorated. Nina was a great host and answered any questions we had promptly.
My husband and I stayed here when visiting Vermont for our anniversary. We absolutely loved the cottage! It had everything we needed and it was so cozy. It was just a short drive away from Burlington and Stowe. Our host, Nina, was easy to communicate with and responsed to our questions quickly. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Vermont. We can't wait!
My partner and I very much enjoyed our stay here! The place was clean, well-kept, and cozy. The living room was comfortable and homey. The bathroom was very clean and neat, though we were only given about half a roll of toilet paper and no extra. The main bedroom was small but relaxing. We didn't realize the main bed was a double (our fault!) so it was a little tight but not uncomfortable at all.
Nina was an excellent host who responded quickly and gave clear instructions. Check-in instructions arrived late due to technical issues (no fault of the host) but was quickly resolved.
Overall my partner and I would be happy to stay here and have Nina as our host again!
The location of the cottage was great... out of the way, but not too far from restaurants, grocery store, etc. (only about 20 minutes to Burlington). It was very clean and we had good communications with the host. Recommended!
Had to be in Burlington, VT to help our daughter with moving into UVM and chose the cottage as is was close enough to college but still felt out in the country. We stayed 4 days and loved the cottage, the location and the neighborhood. Nina has thought of everything you would need, we didn’t want for anything. Fully furnished kitchen, wonderful shower, cozy bedroom. Parking was convenient (located outside the cottage) and there was great information in the cottage recommending what to see, where to eat, how to get there. Highly recommend and plan to return. Compliments to Nina on the property and how easy it was to communicate with her.
The rental was perfect for us. The space was very clean and well furnished. The appliances looked like they had never been used before. We had an issue with the power not working due to a storm that caused an area-wide blackout. The rental agent came right over and reset the fuse box and had everything up and running. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect place to stay and explore the surrounding areas. Forts, museums, parks, restaurants and history all around. Nina was great and is actually opening a second hand store across the street. Very nice place.
Had an awesome winter stay, Nina is a great host, the house was newly renovated, and had everything you could want, amazing place couldn’t recommend more!
Extremely well cared for and clean. Lovely cottage for us. Well stocked kitchen. Host was great at communicating and ready to answer all our questions.
Just note parking is roadside and feels like you are parking at the stop sign. Drove past looking for a driveway as it was dusk when we arrived. No parking signs are for public ..small letters under say Cottage guests only. Was not easy to see from the car.
This cozy cottage was a perfect size for us and our teenage daughter to stay over UVM parents weekend. It had a brand new shower, comfortable chairs and a clean modern kitchen. A sliding barn door separates the one bedroom from the rest of the cottage. The cottage was right off main road in a sleepy hamlet.
We stayed at this lovely cottage while visiting the area. The property was clean and comfortable. For our needs, it was a great location to drive and explore all of the area had to offer. I would highly recommend. Host was always assessable and provided prompt response to communication.
