Not As Advertised – Uncomfortable Stay, Unresolved Issues
We’re not the type to leave negative reviews lightly, but future guests deserve an honest heads-up.If you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to relax after a day exploring D.C., this isn’t it. Air conditioning was listed as an amenity—I even have a screenshot. There was none. Without it, the apartment was a sweltering 88-degree sauna. Small fans were provided, but they were ineffective, clearly indicating this is a known, ongoing issue.Sleep was nearly impossible. It felt like trying to sleep in a wind tunnel under a spotlight. The blinds were so bad, we didn’t feel comfortable changing outside of the bathroom—which, unfortunately, wasn’t much cleaner. Buildup on the bathroom fans (several inches thick), and general lack of maintenance throughout. Yuck.My child found a packet of some unknown powder near the bed.Faulty door locks—a known issue.Cleaning and stocking were well below expectations: two tiny soaps for five people, one single-use laundry detergent packet, and sheets that didn’t fit the beds. One of the TVs didn’t work.Food crumbs from previous guests.Carpets stained, stepped on a loose screw that had been left behind. The 22/night parking a challengeIf cleanliness, comfort, and honesty in listings are important to you, I’d strongly recommend booking elsewhere. You've been warned.
