Love this place!!!!
Everything about the Tortola Adventure Villa was perfect for our family of 5 adults. The beautiful views make it all worth it. The location to the ferry ports, wonderful beaches and restaurants was very convenient. We enjoyed sipping our cocktails in the pool while taking in the breathtaking views. The air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms worked great and cooled us off each evening after our days of exploring Tortola and the nearby island, while the open air great room on the top floor received lovely ocean sea breezes flowing thru each evening. The kitchen was stocked with everything I can imagine anyone needing, plenty of towels available too. The home managers were very helpful with any information needed. We were greeted right upon arrival and the management check in on us several times only to find out that everything was going great. The drive up to the house is a little steep but you will have no problems with AWD or 4WD. I hope you will have a chance to experience the Tortola Adventure Villa and have as much fun as we did in the BVI!

Complete Privacy with an Awesome View!
The home was not far from things to do, however, it afforded us complete privacy. We loved sitting on the outside decks at all times of the day sipping coffee or drinks and taking in the view. There was a good supply of nice furniture on the deck. The home had a somewhat eclectic style, was open and airy, had everything we needed, and was quite comfortable. To get to the bedrooms, you had to go outside and down the stairs to the lower level but that didn't bother us. Especially loved the outdoor shower and the pool was nice. We rented a Jeep as suggested as the last part of the drive up to the house was steep. We could have made it with something else that was a four wheel drive but it can be slick if raining so it really depends on your comfort level. Bruce and staff were very helpful and communicated well and we thank them for making our stay all we had hoped for.

Outstanding
We really loved this place. With the incredible view, open floor plan (on the top floor), good kitchen, and the very nice pool, we spent a lot of time just hanging out at the villa, cooking meals, etc. Mornings were sublime. The layout of the house is not intuitive from the listing: the bedrooms are not on the same floor as the main living level, with two bedrooms one level down and the third, two levels down. They are not connected via interior stairways, and have independent external doorways. This isn't necessarily a negative, it's just a function of how a lot of caribbean houses are laid out. The bedrooms themselves are very comfortable, with AC in two of them, and good breezes throughout. Location of the house is great - we've come to really like the West End of Tortola. (Recommend shopping for groceries at Riteway in Soper's Hole, rather than schlep to Road Town. Skip C&D's and Bobby's Supermarket.) The hill up to the house is no joke, but not a big deal. Kinda fun, actually. We would love to return and stay here again.

Spectacular!
This is our second time staying at this house and it was just as good as we remembered. The house is perfect for families or couples with an incredible view of Apple Bay. It is close to many of the must see places on the island. We look forward to visiting again one day!!

Nice Rental-Great Spot
We stayed a week here with 7 of us and with 2 more the last 2 days. The road in was a bit of a challenge but we managed fine. Good communications. Nice pool and nice layout. Pindy and family were very helpful. The views were hard to beat. Thank you! Hoping to come back. David in NH

Beautiful and secluded with breathtaking views
A fantastic spot. Getting in and out isn't for the faint of heart as it's atop a mountain with a steep driveway, but it's well worth the journey. Lots of space and a great kitchen with plenty of pots and pans. Make the adventure!

Very nicely decorated villa. The views are so beautiful. Kitchen has everything you need.
The Tortola Adventure is well named, when you consider the road that you must drive to take you there. This 4 bedroom house is best suited for couples, and less so for families. The pool is small, but great for hanging out in. It is great value if you are considering a vacation in the BVI with friends.

Amazing views!
The views are unbeatable! We loved this property. The floor plan is really unique and "fits" into the hill. The driveway is lots of fun! The decor and feel of the home is just perfect. We would have loved it only more if a bedroom (or two) had A/C. But all other times the trade winds are quite sufficient. The kitchen was well stocked. Sylvia greeted us and made us feel at home and showed us around/explained how everything worked and promptly helped me out with a request later in the week. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Most beautiful view!
We were 3 couples that stayed for a week at the Tortola Adventure Villa. We love the island and all the easy access to other neighboring islands. The view from the house is stunning and the breeze feels great that high up. The house had everything we needed to feel right at home. The driveway is not for the faint of heart but that's what makes it an adventure! Loved every moment of this vacation ❤️

Tortola Adventure
We had a lovely time at the villa. A little bit off the beaten path, but that is what we like. Amazing 160 degree view of the ocean and islands. Well appointed. Not fancy, but has what you need to enjoy your stay. The owner has island contacts that help you get settled. They went out of their way to be sure we were happy.

Great family vacation spot!
My family and I could not have been happier staying here. We loved the layout! It was so nice to be able to spread the family out so no one was ever woken up in the morning by the early risers. It was also nice because you could close off parts of the house and enjoy alone time. The kitchen was very well stocked with most things you would have at home, so staying in and cooking a meal was a breeze! There were a lot of glassware & dishes, the pots and pans were great and there were even nice sharp knives too. The pictures don't do the porch justice, not only is the view 100 times more incredible... but you're able to open up all the doors and enjoy the view from inside! The kids enjoyed the pool and outside showers almost as much as the beach. The driveway was well maintained and easy to get up with 4WD and extra parking space made turning around at the top easy. Sylvia met us at the house to show us around and was readily available to answer any questions during our stay. She really made sure we felt at home here. We owe our vacations success largely to staying here!

Great time! Very cool and interesting house! Amazing views! Central location to lot of fun stuff!
We had a awesome time spending 4 days of a family vacation on Tortola at this house. It was our first time to Tortola. The location was great since it was fairly quick access to many great beaches...Smugglers (for seclusion and snorkeling, and Nigels pop up beach bar), Long Bay (for some big waves), Cane Garden (for a busy beachside scene with plenty of on the beach bars and Callwells Rum distillery), and Brewers (also secluded and great snorkeling). And there are many great dining options nearby including d' Coalpot and Jeanes, and Bomba Shack to get drinks and Full Moon Party. West End is close for the ferry from/to the USVI, snorkel gear, shops, etc and we used Jerry's Car Rental which was simple and very friendly. When we weren't running around the island or taking a day trip to the Baths on Virgin Gorda, we were enjoying the incredible views and the pool at the house. Ging and Sylvia were both extremely helpful in getting us from the ferry to the grocery and the house, and going over all the odds and ends of the house and nearby festivities.

View was unbeatable, but amenities/basic necessities were lacking
My family and I booked this house for five days - during our stay the refrigerator broke and all of our groceries (which were quite pricey on an island) were spoiled. We had to accommodate being at the house to meet repair man and stay until he left nearly 5 hours later. During that time we emailed the owner and called the local contact and weren't really given any real solution or reimbursements. There were ants in one of the main bedrooms, IN the bed - no one had any food in this room the entire trip. On the last evening there the island lost power for 9 hours, though we knew that power was spotty in the island we did not realize the repercussions of the island losing power. It is a pretty miserable nights sleep with no fans due to no power, we opened our doors to try to get a breeze to make up for the lose of fans but then we gotten eaten up by mosquitos as there are no nets or screens on the doors. There is a net over the bed but they had holes in them which made them practically pointless. In the morning we woke up to take showers before our long travel home and found that since the power had been out all night the water pumps could not muster up the power to bring water to any of the shower, faucets or toilets therefore we could not really enjoy our last morning in the house and had to leave early to get some breakfast and try to sponge bathe ourselves elsewhere. Again emailing the owner to which he suggested we scoop water our of the pool and bring it up the flight of stairs to dump it in the toilet reserve on the back of the toilet in order to flush. Which was quite disappointing as we paid a decent amount of money to stay in the home for 5 days to have these types of hiccups happen. The house offers beautiful views and the pool is a nice bonus. The top level is perfect but the lower 2 levels and what is considered the 'master' were pretty short of our expectations. The driveway is no joke, we rented 2 four wheel drive cars, one of which we returned after the first day because we could barely make it up the driveway with one person in the car. The rest of the time in the larger SUV was a struggle to make it up.

Beautiful...
Tortola was een leuke eiland voor snorkelen, en vooral voor water sport. We hadden echt leuk. Het huis heeft een mooie uitzicht en we konden lekker relaxen na een dag op de strand. In het huis kon je van alles vinden en was echt schoon toen we arriveren. En the most important very nice people! Thanks Silvia!

Gorgeous views, plentiful tradewinds
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was everything advertised and a bit more. The kitchen had everything to easily prepare our meals, the porch afforded views that were much better than the pictures on the website. Looking over the edge of the swimming pool out over Apple Bay was very nice. The rooms are not air conditioned but the fans kept us tolerably cool at night. The constant trade winds while we were there kept us almost completely bug free for the week, though some of that may have been due to the extended drought that the island is experiencing. There was loud music from the beach a couple of nights. Some of our party slept through it, some did not. Sylvia, the local contact, was very helpful. We did get the recommended 4 wheel drive car and it did make getting up and down the driveway much more pleasant than just having 2 wheel drive would have been. The home itself is not handicap accessible. The only improvement I would ask for is screens for the doors. But, that might not be practical as the trade winds may at times be to strong for screen doors.

6 Star View 3 Star accommodation
This was the first time we encountered some disappointing surprises booking through VRBO. Will say first of all that Evolve Vacations was great at responding to my initial inquiry and made the booking process a breeze. Also, the owner of the villa was very pleasant and responsive. If you were to rate the villa exclusively for its spectacular view of the rolling hills and the ocean below and it's private location still within reach to some very good dining and great beaches, the rating would go off the charts. The pictures on the VRBO website accurately depict the view you will most definitely enjoy. What it does not mention or show however is that the 2 main bedrooms are quite removed from that view. More specifically, they are located below the main living area and do not afford either the view or the comfort that we anticipated. Aside from feeling dark and isolating, one of the bedrooms had a wall of doors that could be fully opened for fresh air and the tropical breeze. Sounds great in theory, but since there are no screens on the doors, you are at the mercy of the hungry mosquitos (the mosquito net was inadequate) & we felt a little vulnerable/not secure leaving doors wide open sleeping on the ground level. The other bedroom (located even further below the house), did have screens on the windows, however the windows were small so there really is no view). The other 'annoyance' with this 2nd bedroom was its' 'non-suite'- bathroom(!) located on the other side of the stairwell. Didn't much enjoy having to 'hike' outside and across the hall in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. We accepted the rather odd layout and 'closed in'/dark and rustic vibe of the bedrooms but were quite disappointed as we were really looking forward to a higher standard of comfort that we had anticipated. The main living area of the villa was well equipped with necessities and was clean. Wi-Fi was perfect. Would describe the décor as comfortable leaning to rustic - much like a cottage. Would have helped if the oven and the BBQ was working properly. Also, the exterior of the property overall appeared a little neglected & needs some TLC ( 'sticky' door hinges, stairwells looks dingy/dirty, broken outdoor patio tiles, the pool lounge chairs on arrival were scattered randomly....small but important 'improvements' that this beautiful property deserves! Enjoyable stay overall, but hopefully this review is both helpful and constructive.

Tortola Adventure started with the driveway...! and continued from there...
The trip to Tortola was in the off-season. Our first impression of Tortola, was similar to that of St. John... that locals were much more friendly on this island than on St. Thomas. The adventure started with the steep driveway... Man do they like their steep roads and driveways on Tortola. The island was a bit slow in the off season, and many places were closed, but the places that were open were great. The initial impression of the Tortola Adventure condo was that it was a little more rustic than displayed in the photos. But by the conclusion of the stay, the location became a very comfortable base of operations and we settled in nicely. The views are amazing and sleeping with the doors open was awesome. Thankful for the mosquito nets, because the buggers were out with a vengeance after the rains. The WiFi access was crucial in planning out our days, although cable and dsl connection on the island is spotty and inconsistent. Hopefully Tortola will improve its information backbone in the days to come... We had a great time and great weather in Tortola, it only rained once at night during the 4 day stay (during the hurricane season) while we were there. We drove all around the island from West End to Trellis Bay. Got out into the water to SUP at Cane Garden Bay, rented a great 24' boat from Mark and Katrin at Island Time Powerboats and visited the Baths at Virgin Gorda, snorkeled Ginger Island, Cooper Island, the Indians, the Bight and the Caves at Norman Island with the help of Captain Lou. Great meals at Long Bay Beach Club (Long Bay), Myett's (Cane Garden Bay), Sharky's (Royal BVI Yacht Club), Captain Mulligan's (Nanny Cay), Watering Hole (Road Town) and Brandywine Estate Restaurant (Brandywine Bay). Enjoyed the drinks at Peg Legs (Nanny Cay), Myett's (Cane Garden Bay), Brandywine (East Road Town) and a stop off at Stoutt's Look Out for a Look Out Punch a must. Captain Mulligan's a great place to catch a meal, drink and watch some sport. Dove off the Willy T at the Bight, enjoyed a few Painkillers at the Soggy Dollar Bar, and even visited Foxy for a serenade on Jost Van Dyke. We fit a lot in on our 4 day stay in Tortola and coming back to enjoy the view from the infinity splash pool was always a plus.... All in all we enjoyed our Tortola Adventure and the location was a great base of operations. The Virgin Islands are a water sport adventurers play ground. Great people, great views, great beaches, great water and great fun.....!

Woot-woot!
Definitely felt the Caribbean breeze in this hilltop apartment in Tortola. It's open and bright. The view of the ocean was invigorating. Their infinity pool lived up its name. The apartment was well- kept and it was really a home away from home!

Beautiful and unique property
Beautiful property with a convenient location on this end of the island. Don't let the other reviews about "loud music" deter you... it's wonderful to sit on the deck and listen to the relaxing music drift up from the beach-bars below. The particular home has a unique set-up that is perfect for three couples, each level-bedroom is complete with it's own full bath. Both the owner and property manager are very involved in making sure a good time is had by all.
