Beautiful, spacious home on Cedar Hedge Lake in Interlochen will be your perfect vacation destination. On a quiet side street, facing southeast. This two-level, 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom home welcomes up to 10 guests at a time. Open year round, this home rents weekly only during prime summer months. Memorial and Labor Day weekends require three nights.

Walk into a large welcoming dining room with room for all to gather for a meal! Through here you will find a large living room with stunning views of the lake, a large TV, and a wood burning fireplace, how cozy! The full kitchen (with dishwasher) is well appointed with plenty of room to for cooking and wonderful view of the lake; walk out onto the deck from here! Downstairs you will find a cozy family room with a fireplace featuring a bar area (with a great golf ball bar!) and a ping pong table. Three bedrooms on the main level, featuring a King, Queen, and Queen. Two bedrooms on the lower level one with a King and the other with bunk beds (2 Twins) and a Queen.

Walk out to the patio for some outdoor dining with a spectacular view of the lake! Watch the kids play in the big grassy yard while cooking up dinner on the grill. Finish off your outdoor dinner with the perfect outdoor dessert, s’mores roasted over the campfire! Take advantage of the rowboat and kayaks available, by taking a paddle around the lake. Enjoy the sunset from the outdoor seating provided.

This home is located just minutes from the Interlochen Center for the Arts, less than two miles to the Interlochen Golf Club. Try some located some local or plan a trip to Cherry Bowl Drive-in for an unforgettable night at the movies – just under 14 miles away! For winter fun, Crystal Mountain Resort and Iron Fish Distillery are an easy drive away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lake Haven was a wonderful spot for our family. We traveled about the area and used the house as our home base. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen could use an update but we only had breakfast at house so it wasn't an issue. Did have an issue with toilet in master bedroom not flushing, and unfortunately it was Labor Day week-end and no plumber should be found before we left (which was only 1 day). Good place to hang out and chill.

Wonderful home for a family

We had a wonderful week at Lake Haven with our family. The home is spacious and very comfortable. There were toys the kids enjoyed as well as a nice beach area with a lot of toys. We had a great time kayaking with the kayaks that were provided and using the paddleboard one of our kids brought. The swimming was nice and the float was fun to have a place to swim out to. While the kitchen is older, it was well furnished, and everything was labeled. Our granddaughters (4,6,8) LOVED the wonderful tree swing in the front yard. Many thanks for making your home available and a great family vacation.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, the house was great, good decor, well stocked, roomy enough for 10 people. The view across the lake was lovely with loons, ducks and swans although the geese were not welcome visitors to the dock and lawn. Water temperature was just right. A good bit of lake weed on the bottom.Second, we reported on Wednesday that the ladder on the raft was loose, the right side about to detach, too dangerous for adults to use. The person who took our message at Up North said she would pass the message to someone in charge who would handle the situation and call us that day or the next. We never heard again from Up North, and the ladder was not repaired by the time we left on Saturday morning. We missed usage of the raft.

Kitchen space sufficient. Left grill better then received Swing was big hit even with grandma. Lake was peaceful and good fishing. Lots of swimming. We had to wear water shoes but kids got use to it. Loons were added bonus. Would consider a revisit. Especially if we could bring our dog. No dogs(I get it) allowed but evidently neighbors dog can visit. Grandson stepped in black lab poo just before leaving. So we had an unexpected clean up -

Beautiful home on quiet lake

We recently had the pleasure of staying in this Lake Haven home for 4 days, while in town for a wedding in Grawn. It was a very spacious, clean, well-furnished home that was stocked with everything we needed. The views from the balcony and living room, as well as some bedrooms, was just gorgeous. The neighborhood and lake were very quiet, even during the Memorial Weekend holiday. We took advantage of kayaking around the lake and saw beavers, turtles, fish, snakes, loons and many birds. The bonfire pit was a great place to gather around in the evenings. We took advantage of hiking the Lost Lake trail in the neighborhood, the Boardman Lake loop in Traverse, visited Lake Ann Brewery and enjoyed most meals at the house (great deck for gathering to eat); some of the kids enjoyed golfing at Interlochen Golf Club just minutes from the house. We recommend this home to anyone looking to stay with a larger group of people (sleeps 12). We will definitely consider renting here again! Already miss those views!

Perfect for the weekend

The house is spacious and our family of 6 with 4 teen sons felt like we had enough space to spend time together and get a good nights sleep. The view is beautiful and we had fun playing ping pong.

Perfect for our group!

Property was the right size for us and in a convenient location to where we ventured out. A couple things that would have helped was to have dish towels.. fortunately someone remembered there weren’t any last year and brought a few. Also, highly recommend replacing the mattress in the yellow bedroom— the couple in that room felt like a taco after the first nights sleep..🤔 evidently it was quite mushy and dipped badly in the middle. But we loved the fire place in the main floor living area and congregated there almost the whole time. Highly recommend this place..

Spider Lake Property

Beautiful property and location

Overall a great property to stay. Beautiful views of the lake especially at night. Very clean and well stocked with everything you might need. Only minor negatives would be 2 out of the 3 showers had issues. 1 off main hallway was tricky to get shower to work and once working the water was rust colored. The shower in basement did not drain properly causing the shower to become slippery. Also there were a lot of ant hills down but the firepit which made for a lot of ants climbing on all of the chairs. A fantastic time was had by all and we would all definitely stay here again.

Good and not so good.

Cedar Hedge Lake was a great lake for our family to vacation on. It's so quiet and peaceful. We aren't boaters, we are a family of paddle boarders and kayakers so it was perfect. Great dock and we enjoyed sitting on the swim raft. Lots of seating was provided for the outdoor area and we enjoyed the firepit. The deck was terrific and again provided a ton of space for all of us to eat our meals outside and just gather to talk. It's a nice size property and we found plenty of space for sleeping. The bedrooms ranged from really nice to good. No complaints about mattresses so they must have been good! Nice views to the lake from every room. My issues with this property were with maintenance. The laundry area in the basement didn't drain automatically. There were written directions on how to drain it with the sump pump. We've staying in N. Michigan on lakes for years and have never had to do this. In addition, 2 of our family were shocked when turning on the pump. We called the property management company who sent out an electrician and he said he didn't find anything. Needless to say, we used the laundry less and always switched on the drain with a wooden spoon. Just not acceptable when renting your property. The lower level bathroom may have some plumbing issues. The area behind the toilet, including the wall, was constantly wet. It smelled bad enough and was wet enough that the folks sleeping in the basement started showering on the main floor. Finally, the upper level living room furniture needs to be replaced. The sofa is ridiculous. The frame and/or springs must be broken, you sink almost to the floor when you sit on it. The recliners are old and dirty and there is a bench at the dining room table that also is broken.

We had good weather and the kids spent most of their time in or on the water. We would rent again if it would work out for us at some time in the future. Note: it appears that one of the railing brackets going down to the beach has been broken for some time. This could lead to other brackets breaking if not repaired.

Perfect Lake Getaway

We spent a week at this property with family. We had 11 total people. There was plenty of space, the house was clean, and a great location. The house was equipped with all you could need, and items that weren’t supplied were communicated to us ahead of time. There was a grocery store and tavern within a few miles, and just a 20 minute drive into Traverse City. Spent days on the beautiful lakefront and nights on deck. Highly recommend! We would love to go back in the future.

Lots of room to spread out

Very comfortable place. We had 6 adults, a toddler and a baby and we never felt like we were on top of each other. We did bring our own high chair and portable crib, so keep that in mind if you have a little one. The kitchen is very well stocked. Be sure to pack things like foil, saran wrap or plastic containers for food storage. Plenty of sleeping options for everybody and nobody complained about beds, so they must have all been comfortable. Cleanliness - satisfactory. I am the last person to judge this as I am too much of a neat freak. Things like food crumbs in the silverware drawer drive me nuts! Let's just say their silverware drawer was cleaned. LOL Floors, countertops, linens - all clean! Our visit was very cold (single digit temps and low teens) so we did use the fireplace in the basement. You will want to bring some kindling or fire starters - something to get the thing started. You may also want to bring some "dry" fire wood. They have some, but it is still too wet to get much of a fire going. All in all, we had a nice stay. It was a much needed break for all of us to get away and enjoy everything family has to offer!
