Home was great and clean! Matt communicated well and was quick to respond to any questions. Loved being close by to historic Harper’s Ferry! Had a wonderful time at Antietam. Had numerous deer sightings close to the property in the evenings. Would definitely stay here again! A
Comfortable beds, lots of room, beautiful river location. Close to Harper’s Ferry, Antietam, walking/hiking trails. Very quiet neighborhood. Cozy electric fireplace and rec room downstairs. We were able to check in an hour early. Great family house!
The property was amazing and a wonderful place to gather with friends overlooking the beautiful Potomac River. Matt was so prompt with his communications and answering my questions. The home was impeccable with lots of extras to make it feel like home away from home. The entire group loved our stay.
Our stay at this vacation home was very enjoyable! The house was clean, well maintained and comfortable. It is located on a nice piece of property with a beautiful view of the Shenandoah River. The owner provided a lot of necessities like bed sheets, bath towels, soap, shampoo and even coffee supplies. The house is up to date and has a nice basement entertainment area. The fire pit area near the river was probably our favorite amenity. We enjoyed it on a couple evenings while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There is also a fire table, comfortable chairs and a grill on the deck. The house is located just about 10 minutes from the Harpers Ferry National Park parking lot and only 15 minutes from Charles Town where there are restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses. I highly recommend this vacation home!
The house was clean and nicely decorated. It was just the two of us, but it would be perfect for a larger family. There are three bedrooms, all well furnished. The large basement would be great for games and family activity and has an extra full bath. The fire pit down by the water was fun too. Print or write down your arrival instructions and door codes. I thought I’d just get off my phone but spotty service until you get in and get on WiFi.
Beautiful house. Very clean. Lots of extras like floaties and life jackets. Plenty of starter packs like garbage bags, paper towels and coffee and creamer. The deck with its gas grill and fire pit were used both nights. The river fire pit and chairs were nice and wood was available. Pretty centrally located to all of Harper's Ferry. Beds were comfortable. We had a great stay
We just did a quick 2 night stay for our 1st time in Harper’s Ferry and loved the house! It was everything it said it was and was wonderful. Matt, the host, was so responsive which gave us a great peace of mind. Due to a natural accident of a tree falling across the road, the power was out for several hours & we were unable to get into town. Matt was willing to come and help us out and do whatever he needed, which was above & beyond & so very appreciated!!! We would definitely stay here again & will recommend it to everyone.
We had a good stay. We especially enjoyed the deck with gas fire pit and grill. The location is convenient to Harper's Ferry sites. This was our 29th vrbo booking. The kitchen could use some simple additions to make it easier to prepare and eat meals: large serving/mixing/salad bowls, more plates and bowls, mirrors and waste baskets in the bedrooms, more hooks or towel racks in the bathroom.
Really enjoyed staying at the property. Matthew was very responsive prior to arrival and once we got there everything was in great shape. The house is very clean and well maintained and the yard is as well. We spent a lot of time by the firepit and did some fishing as well, which was enjoyable. Great white water rafting nearby with River Riders and a Wal-Mart grocery store is a short 12 minute drive from the property. Will definitely consider returning!
We had an amazing stay at this property. The beds are way comfortable. The deck with fire pit allows you to have relaxing evenings.🔥 Would definitely stay again next time we are in the area.
We had a wonderful visit to Harpers Ferry and this property was the perfect place. We spent most of our days out hiking, but enjoyed coming back to the home to relax by the river. Conveniently located between Harpers Ferry and Charlestown made our dining out options very accessible. Our kids loved the pool table in the large rec room.
Riverside Bliss: A Dreamy Getaway with Modern Comforts and Breathtaking Views
We just had the most incredible 4-day getaway at this stunning riverside rental! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the pristine cleanliness of the place. The location itself is simply breathtaking. Waking up to the serene view of the river every morning was like something out of a dream.
As for the house, it exceeded all of our expectations. The modern design and cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after our days of adventure. And speaking of adventure, the game room in the basement was an absolute hit. There were enough games to keep families entertained for hours on end, creating unforgettable memories together.
The kitchen was another highlight of our stay. Not only was it impeccably clean, but the open layout made it perfect for cooking and spending quality time with loved ones. We enjoyed eating meals together.
Our venture to Harper's Ferry felt like stepping into a postcard. Words can't capture the awe we felt exploring this historic gem. It's simply breathtaking.
Overall, our experience at this riverside rental was nothing short of magical. From the cleanliness and comfort of the house to the stunning views and endless entertainment options, every aspect exceeded our expectations.
The house was clean and well stocked. The kids loved the space downstairs to play games. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, and communication with the property owner was easy.
Riverfront brand new home, excellent hiking, great restaurants, quiet setting, fire pit right at river's edge, also one on the deck of home. 2 levels of open living space, just a great river front home. Will be back!
We stayed 3 nights, enjoyed the lovely, newly updated decorated 3 bedroom, well stocked lodging. Exquisite linens/bedding, great kitchen for cooking with friends. Lovely deck overlooking river. Harpers Ferry has much to offer of important American history, restaurants, historic National park, boutique shopping & the Appalachian Conservatory headquarters. Great trails & views. Do study grocery shopping before you get close if entering from the east. Frequent bus into town from Nat park ( parking is limited in town)
We just spent the weekend at this lovely, completely renovated riverfront home. The owners are easy to communicate with and provided everything we needed, down to the smallest detail. Kitchen is well stocked and bathrooms provided toiletries as if we were in a hotel. The house is incredibly clean and everything in it feels brand new! We enjoyed the upper deck with gas firepit in the evening and retractable awning during the day. Another night we used the wood firepit down near the river which was also fun. The seating down near the river is perfect place to hang out. We brought our own kayaks and launched them directly from their property's river access with no problems. It was a great place for a weekend getaway and you can be sure we'll be back!
This was a great house to celebrate our friend's birthday! It was beautiful and well-equipped! We wish the water levels were higher in order to enjoy the river more, but the view was spectacular! Management was awesome!
