I had difficulties logging on to the app where a message contained our access code to the property, so I had to telephone the property manager for it. Other than that, check in with painless and the property was in fine shape.
My husband and I were very happy with the unit and the location. The rooms are large and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable. It was easy to walk everywhere and so convenient to have a parking space. We could easily leave the truck parked and walked everywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely stay here again if it is available.
Loved this place. It was exceptional. Right on river walk and close to about everything. Comfortable and clean. Like no dust anywhere clean. They have went beyond being welcoming. Fluffy towels, very comfortable bed, pillows and even thick toilet paper. Can’t wait to stay here vain. Has everything you need to stay for one or multiple nights and

We loved our stay at the Oglethorpe Lodge. Everything was just as expected from the description and photos. The location is fantastic right in the heart of Savannah and the unit was more spacious than we anticipated. Parking was simple in the designated spot right in front of the apartment. All the directions provided were clear and easy to follow. It was a great trip to Savannah!
Our stay was pretty good for our first time in Savannah. The whole condo actually fronts an alley/parking garage, but with parking at a premium, it’s a great bonus to have your own spot! It’s a really good sized unit for 4ppl. Our upstairs unit had views of the street and River street is across the street. You can see some of the larger cargo ships from this unit. A few notes about this rental:
We were on the top floor so lots of stairs (outside to the landing, then more inside), if you have bad knees like me, it’s not so fun.
You cannot park in the assigned spot earlier than check in time as cleaning/maintenance use these spots to get the rental ready. You have to have the parking pass to park in the spot anyway.
There is a restaurant next door (great food!), with a bar in the back alley, but you don’t hear much since the bedroom is on the other side. You will hear slight street noise from the street.
This condo is in a very central location and has great walkability to all the tourist sites. They provided local maps, a few easy chores to complete before departure, and wifi.
One negative, the two “pleather” chairs & ottoman, though very comfortable, left black bits of plastic all over our clothes, legs, backs. It came off, but it was a day or so before we realized what it was. Not a big deal, but probably want to stick to the couch until they replace those chairs.
Overall: a great location and stay.
This is a great rental if you love this section of Savannah!
Our first stay just the two of us since 2001 in Savannah and thanks to the Oglethorpe Lodge, even a tropical storm couldn't stop us from having a relaxing and incredible stay thanks to the incredible place. It is right next to our favorite restaurant and steps away from everything. It even comes with private parking, who could ask for anything more. We will be looking to return next year.
This place was PERFECT! Our stay was short and I wish it was longer. The property was wonderful and right in the middle of all the happenings of downtown Savannah! We will certainly be back.
What a great find for a 1b, 1.5ba apartment. This is a third floor walkup. It has a parking spot which was a plus and happens to be right next to an alley bar, convenient for a nightcap. The bed was very comfortable, the amenities as described and even had high end toiletries. Perfection would be if it had a washer/dryer, but ce la vie!! Great place to stay!!
This property was just as described. It was in a great location, close to the restaurants and bars on the waterfront yet quiet on the 3rd floor. Clean, updated and with lovely artwork and furnishings throughout. The parking spot is a great bonus as well, especially since you are walking distance to so much.
Location was great. The apartment was very nicely furnished and well maintained. The three flights of stairs were a bit of a challenge but we made it. There was a little street noise but it wasn’t terribly bad.
We loved this spacious apartment on Bay Street and the alley next door to Treylor’s Park. We felt like we were at home as we had so much space and it was so quiet. It was very convenient to have a parking space right outside our door … and we never moved our car as we were within walking distance of everything. Our only issue was the TV … we have DirecTV at home and had a hard time using only the smart TV without the channels we were accustomed to choosing from. Be sure to eat at Six Pence Irish Pub while you are in Savannah … we love it!
The location is perfect and the property is very spacious, especially for two people. Four could definitely comfortably stay, as well. We will be back!
This beautiful space was the perfect place from which to explore Savannah. We felt very at home, had everything we needed and the host was very responsive. We hope to stay here again in the future.
My wife and I first came to Savannah in 2005. We sold a small rental home we owned in Peachtree City, GA and decided to re-invest in a rental home along the eastern coast. The search was on and it started in Savannah and we worked our way up past Charleston. At the end of the search we came to the realization that we love the look the feel and the general laid back vibe of Savannah.
In general I would say that our top ten reasons of why we love Savannah are below:
10) The low country waterways and the smell of the marsh 9) The proximity to the ocean and all the tributaries 8) Fishing and time on the water 7) The Downtown and all the parks 6) The history of Savannah 5) The hauntings and the stories/myths that lie behind the fables 4) Traveler drinks – Solo cups and alcoholic beverages can be taken for a stroll anywhere in the downtown vicinity 3) SCAD – the fact that the whole downtown also is vibrant with students 2) The Pubs and Bars 1) The many fabulous restaurants
We hope you enjoy your stay in Savannah as much as we enjoy everything that it has to offer.
