About this property

Large Crestone Home - 20 acres

Large house in Crestone nestled in the cottonwoods surrounded by 20 acres and nature preserve, amazing mountain views. Bring your whole family or group of friends and be comfortable in this spacious house that sleeps up to 12. Unique features include a sunroom with 20+ year old geraniums and herb garden; a steam shower in the large master; an exercise room with treadmill, free weights and room for movement/yoga; and a Native American Medicine Wheel on the land. Nature and dark skies are calling!

The space
There are 5 bedrooms - 4 rooms with traditional beds, and 1 office room with a double pull-out couch with memory foam. There is an additional small single pull-out couch in the living room.

There is an open spiral staircase and the upper level of the house has wider spaced railings NOT SUITABLE for small children such as crawlers and toddlers because it may be a falling risk. For bringing in larger luggage there is a deck staircase that is easier to maneuver.

Full kitchen - with gas stove and large refrigerator - that is well stocked to make any meal - just bring the ingredients. Salt, pepper, oil, sugar, and spices are all here. We are spoiled with great-tasting well water that we drink straight from the tap.

This house is meant for relaxation and a pause from the hustle and bustle. Strengthen and move in the exercise room. Relax and unwind in the sunroom beside the plants and soak your feet in a copper bath with fresh geranium petals. Listen to music with Bluetooth speakers.

The property is 20 acres and there is a dried-up creek bed surrounded by cottonwoods running through the property. Explore coyote trails and find a hammock, a couple of forts, a spectacular sunset viewing area, and a mountain view that will leave you speechless. Our home is located at an elevation of 7,680 ft.

Very special to this property is a Native American Medicine Wheel that was constructed by a past owner and keeper of the land. We invite you to enjoy the sacred wheel on foot and please do not disturb any of the structures in place including the offerings in the center.

And lastly, this has been our beloved family home and we share it with you so that we may keep coming back, thank you for choosing to stay here. We hope you feel at home too and come back again and again.

Other things to note
We have Starlink internet, averaging 150 mbps, the best we could get in the area.

It’s a big house and cleaning takes a while, especially with the laundering of multiple bed linens/sheets and towels. The entire cleaning fee goes to our cleaner who does a spectacular job, there is no profit from this.

No fires are allowed on this property.

Amazing spacious home!

Don’t hesitate. Book this place if you can! We stayed here with a large group, four families and it was spacious and warm and very well equipped! We loved the kitchen which had everything we needed for us foodies to prepare delicious meals. The views of the mountains are spectacular. The trampoline was great for the kids, bed were comfortable and spread out nicely so there was sound privacy. Beds were very comfortable and the steam shower was a nice feature too! We loved exploring the riverbed and the big cottonwood trees on the land. And the host was super responsive with any questions we had. Highly recommend staying here! Thanks again for having us!

Alien expedition!

We were looking for a unique place to get away during the kids fall break! We didn't want to be too far from Denver as it was a short break. We chose here hoping for close proximity and adventures that were close for the kids ranging in age from 2 to 17. This retreat was perfect. The setting is quite and peaceful with great star gazing and sunsets. It was easy to hype the kids up with the hopes of seeing some UFO activity 🤗. The house was well kept and very comfortable for our large group. Over the weekend we experienced awesome hot springs, boarded the sand dunes, visited the gator farm, and rented some UTVs all within an hour of the house. We were welcomed back to the home with serene settings, amazing steam shower and a perfect end to some long days! Jane was a great host and very responsive yo all our questions or needs. Will definitely make a return trip here!
