About this property

Magnolia Suite - Sleeps 2-4 - Spacious - 3 miles from Downtown Walla Walla

Step back in time and embrace the charm of this spacious 1970s-era 1-bedroom apartment that exudes character and comfort. Located in an older house in College Place, this unit offers a unique blend of retro aesthetics and functional living.
This unit is a spacious, daylight apartment with park like entrance on a quiet cul de sac. The parking is well lit and there is a keyless entry.
The bedroom invites you to experience a restful night's sleep on a Sleep Number bed, allowing you to customize the firmness to your liking. Blackout blinds adorn the windows, ensuring privacy and the perfect ambiance for a peaceful slumber. The bathroom boasts a classic combination of a bathtub and shower, providing options for relaxation or a quick, invigorating rinse.

With the full stackable washer and dryer unit, you'll find the convenience of in-house laundry facilities, making it easy to maintain your wardrobe during your stay.

The dining room, with its ample space and abundant storage, sets the stage for shared meals and gatherings. Adjacent to the dining area is a charming kitchen, reminiscent of the 1970s era, complete with a full-size refrigerator and oven. Although lacking a dishwasher, this kitchen is well-equipped for those who enjoy the art of traditional cooking.

Adding a touch of nostalgia to the ambiance, a piano graces the dining area, inviting music enthusiasts to fill the space with melodies. The living room is furnished with a full sleeper sofa and a rocking chair, creating a cozy atmosphere for relaxation. A smart TV stands ready for entertainment, offering a blend of vintage charm and modern technology.

A full bookcase and cubbies provide ample storage for personal items, giving the apartment a lived-in and personalized feel. While the decor may be a throwback to a bygone era, the spacious layout and thoughtful amenities ensure that your stay is comfortable and accommodating, creating a homey retreat that pays homage to the classic style.
This suite is less than 1 mile from Walla Walla University and downtown College Place and just 3 miles from downtown Walla Walla. Lion’s Park is across the street for a relaxing walk to feed the ducks. All the local wineries are also just a few minute drive away.
There is full access to the small backyard. We love the local wild animals that frequent our patio at night. We often see raccoons, possum and even hear owls in the nearby trees.
The Magnolia Suite is part of a 3 unit house and is next door to a studio unit and below a 3 bedroom unit. It is a self contained private living space with a convenient separate entry with a key code and self check in.

I grew up in College Place, just a few blocks from this home. We moved back to the area a few years ago and have really enjoyed moving back to the slower pace of life. My husband, Lance, and I own businesses and keep ourselves busy between those and spending time with our 4 adult children.

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood is friendly and safe and very close and convenient to anywhere you would want to go. We love how close it is to our local Lion's Park with covered meeting areas, playground and duck pond.

What makes this property unique

Though the front yard is on a busy street with a fair amount of traffic, the backyard is like it is part of another world. It is secluded and private with several large trees that provide amble shade in the summer. Often we have raccoons, squirrels, possum and owls that visit us as they enjoy the trees. It is relaxing, private, and with plenty of room in the unit.
