About this property

Adirondack Lake House- fish, swim, bike, hike, paddle.....Relax

Located on the north end of Cranberry Lake approximately 1/2 mile across the lake (a 15 min. paddle) from the Village of Cranberry Lake.
The house is an approximately 700sqft multilevel with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The two main bedrooms are on the upper floor (loft) with windows overlooking the lake. One bedroom has a king size bed, one bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom (the kids room) is on the main floor off the kitchen and has bunk beds and a twin bed. We ask guests to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels. There is a washer and dryer. We provide blankets and comforters.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and coffee maker. There are also serving dishes, plates, cups, utensils, pots, pans, and electric griddle. The deck is huge. It totals approximately 400sqft with half covered and enclosed in screen and the other half open with a great view of the lake. There is a dock to tie up a boat and as a platform for swimming and fishing (the kids have caught some surprisingly big bass right off the dock, but mostly sunfish). Guests also have the use of a canoe, 2 person kayak, and a paddle boat.
If you are looking for a place to get away from the daily grind and enjoy the outdoors and connect with family, this is the place. There is no TV cable. There is one TV in the living room with a DVD player and small library of family friendly movies. This TV also has a Google Chrome Cast attached and you can cast content from a phone. There is high speed Internet and WIFI. There is a second TV/VCR in the kids bedroom.
The Cranberry Lake region is one of the largest remote areas in the state. Just south of the lake are thousands of acres of hills, lakes, ponds, and virgin forests. There are countless hiking trails in the area, numerous State Parks, and you are only 40 minutes away from the high peaks region where you'll find some of the most scenic trails anywhere in the country.

Great Find in the Adirondacks

This lake home was just what we needed for a great stay in the Adirondacks. House was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Was great to have use of the canoe, kayak and paddle board. Boat launch was just down the road. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing on Cranberry Lake

It was great vacationing right on Cranberry Lake. Even though the weather was very hot a few days my husband and I were able to stay cool sitting out on the dock. The bed was very comfortable and it was clean. We also enjoyed sitting out on the large deck! The only thing that would have made it better was having a dehumidifier down in the basement to help with the mustiness. Thank you for letting us stay at your cottage! Cathy

Very pleasant stay

Great property - very well appointed! Great indoor/outdoor spaces - the large enclosed porch and the large open porch/deck were just wonderful. Kitchen had everything we needed - great water pressure in shower too. Beds were comfortable! Driveway was a bit challenging, but working together we were able to navigate it

Third Time's a Charm

Our third stay at Bryant House did not disappoint. We paddled the Oswegatchie, had a moonlight paddle on Cranberry Lake, took a peak Adirondack foliage ride, did the Tooley Pond Road waterfall tour, hiked Mount Arab and Ampersand Mountain. Thank you!

Experience the wonders of Cranberry Lake from Howland Drive.

The location for our stay was perfect, very relaxing and quiet. It was great to be about 30 minutes to where we wanted to go, to Wanakena, the falls on Tooley Pond Rd, Tupper Lake, fishing on the Raquette, lots of hiking trails, Cranberry 50 trail is right there. A great place to make base camp! It was great to listen to the loons and owls. You can also see every star in the sky!

Enjoyed our stay in September!

The cottage is lovely, with beautiful views of the lake. We stayed around the Labor Day. This cozy cottage was perfect for four adult people. Kitchen was clean and well stocked for cooking, bathroom had a nice shower. To our surprise we had a strong cell phone signal at the house (all of us used At&T), internet was good as well. We brought our kayak and also used a canoe - and enjoyed paddling trips and fishing. Fishing was great from the dock as well (we caught 2 large bass). We also enjoyed hikes to multiple waterfalls and two mountains. We would definitely recommend this rental to others!

The property was even better than the photos! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The driveway is a bit steep, but that just adds to the adventure. The house was really lovely and having use of the paddle boat was a blast. We'd definitely stay again!

Why they chose this property

Cranberry Lake in the Adirondacks is a scenic, still lake surrounded by mountainous terrain and plentiful opportunities for outdoor adventure. It is the third largest lake in the Adirondacks, behind Lake George and Raquette Lake. The lake is vast, nearly 7,000 acres, and so has a wide range of depth. While the average depth of Cranberry Lake is only six feet deep, large areas are past the 20 and 30 feet marks.

If you’re looking for a great place for activities in the water, Cranberry Lake is a true haven for watersports. Visitors enjoy boating, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, paddling and more. Fishing is also very popular in the Cranberry Lake region. The lake itself is stocked with trout to encourage the sport, and nearby rivers also offer excellent trout fishing.

Various trails in the Cranberry Lake region make the area an ideal spot for hiking and exploring, from beginner to intermediate hikers. Enjoy trails in the Cranberry Lake Wild Forest, Western Parcel, Northwestern Parcel, Eastern Parcel and Five Ponds Wilderness Area.
Just east of Cranberry Lake village, there is a public campground and day-use area maintained by the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Here you'll find a picnic area, fishing pier, beach for swimming and bathhouses. There are also graded areas for tents or trailers, water outlets, toilets, a trailer pump-out station and showers. Handicapped accessible campsites are also available. There is a public boat launch on the Oswegatchie River located on Columbian Road.
