About this property
Tranquil getaway with updated log cabin, climate controlled, cozy fire place
Nestled outside the village of Stillwater NJ, Bell's Cabin of Camp David sleeps up to six.
Bell's Cabin is made from hand hewed logs and furnished with a king size bed. Equipped with full bathroom, updated kitchen, wood stove, and a walkout porch on the second floor. Climate controlled heating/cooling, hot water.
13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land. Two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove
Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life.
Old time feel with updated amenities, Your going to love it!

About the host
Hosted by David Moore

I am an arborist by trade and love the outdoors, wildlife, and nature.
I am a native of New Jersey, growing up in Orange, but attended Paul Smith's College in upstate New York. I have been in the forestry and construction business for over 40 years. Growing up taking trips with the boy scouts and assisting my Church with outdoor retreats that helped us escape from the hustle and bustle and experience a peace of God's creation, I love to see this property bring joy to others and hopefully they experience the same peace I have experienced.
Why they chose this property
Bell's Cabin is located on Camp David which is 13 acres of beautiful park land and forests surrounded by 100's of acres of state forests providing peaceful privacy. There are two ponds stocked with fish connected by a beautiful cascading stream all fed by natural spring-fed water. Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge.
There are two additional cabins located on the property for larger stays and you can find that listing under Camp David which will include all three cabins which has become a popular choice for larger parties such as family reunions, birthday parties, weddings, Church retreats, etc.
Below are close locations to visit:
> Walpack Fish and Wildlife Management Area- Great for sightseeing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting
> Walpack Inn- Beautiful restaurant with an entire back wall, window view overseeing Kittatinny Valley
> Appalachian Trail- hiking, sightseeing
