ncredible Stay at the Windmill House on Rails Vineyard
We just wrapped up an awesome stay at the Windmill House on the Rails Vineyard in Paso Robles, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience!
My husband, our dog Lucy, and I loved every moment. Lucy had a blast watching the squirrels, rabbits, and even cows around the property. The resident cats were a charming surprise—Marble was especially friendly and we adored her.
The tasting room was a highlight of our trip. Meghan was super welcoming and even let Lucy roam freely, which made our visit so much more relaxed and enjoyable. Plus, getting to meet Meghan's dog was a treat!
Despite the crazy 115-degree heat, the views were stunning. We’re already excited to come back when it’s cooler so we can enjoy a glass of wine outside and soak in the scenery.
Overall, the Windmill House on Rails Vineyard is a total gem. Can’t wait to return!
The house at Rails Nap is very nice and exactly as pictured. We loved being out of the hustle and bustle of town while having easy access to everything in Paso. The house is spacious, extremely comfortable, it is a beautiful property with amazing vineyard and sunset views! Meghan was a very responsive and helpful property manager. We will definitely stay again!
The property is absolutely stunning! The house is clean, spacious, and quiet. The winery is delicious and the staff are friendly and genuinely fun to hang out with. Meghan manages the property and was very easy to reach and provided very clear and easy check in instructions. Also, there is a VERY friendly cat who lives at the winery that will welcome you :)
We will definitely be back to this property
This is our 2nd time staying at the Vineyard house and once again, loved every minute. The house is spacious, comfortable and has a great view and cross breeze that is tough to beat anywhere. We did some wine tasting on the winery at the property and the wine is superb. I would recommend staying here if you are in town. You will feel like you have escaped the madness of the city and can rest easy. Thank you to Meghan and the staff for the great stay.
We were in town for a horse show and the weather was wet and cold. Coming back to this beautiful place was perfect! It’s a quiet, private location with lovely grounds. The rooms are comfy and baths are very nice. We didn’t get to use the outdoor spaces due to weather, but the deck looks amazing! The place is located on winery property, and is near several other nice wineries in the area, and it is just a short drive to downtown Paso. The property manager was very responsive when we needed anything.
This place is amazing!!! Spacious two bedroom two bath with gorgeous furnishings!! The property is very quiet and very large.. Very nice walk up to the tasting room.. and we LOVED the wine. Can’t say enough about the wine. 🍷 A few things that would be a great addition to the place would be a BBQ and a patio dining set on that huuuge deck.. Highly recommend this place and we will be back. Thank you for the wonderful stay!!!
Such a lovely house, the ground is beyond amazing. And the winery up the hill is also a huge plus. The people were so kind, funny, dog friendly, and wine... you have to taste the Tannat! The house was just so clean, beautiful, rustic, super cozy and had everything you ever need. Loved sitting on the porch or standing on the deck and watch the sky changes color. I would definitely be back! Thanks for the great hospitality to our family and our dog Zoey!
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The views during wine tasting and walks around the property were beautiful. Megan was awesome!
A memorable stay at a beautiful vineyard property in rural Paso!
The property location is just pure serene. Amazing views of the rolling hills of rural Paso, vineyard, fruit trees, beautiful sunset and starry skies on a clear night. The property manager was so very gracious in providing us with yummy snacks and some frozen food in the refrigerator. The house was very comfortable and the entire family enjoyed the stay. Incidentally, the owner was on the property as well during our visit. He was gracious enough to provide us a tour of the property and wine tasting. The ranch staff was also very courteous and generous. My wife and I took a peaceful morning walk on the vineyards, which was a nice bonding moment. Very convenient location, about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Paso and 20 minute drive to most other wineries in the region.
I know that me and my family will be back here next time we are visiting Paso Robles!
