This unique property features three walls of windows for enjoying the beauty of the water, sky, trees around you.
Relax inside or out while watching the birds and boaters.
Everything you need is inside, including a fully furnished kitchen and a bathroom with generous samples of anything you might have forgotten. Our time here was very relaxing and the view was hard to leave.
Great communication, quite place, would stay again
Great place to stay. In a very quiet area, with beautiful views of the cove. Next to some delapidated apartments with boarded up windows, which threw me off a bit, but the place itself was nice and other homes next to it and in the area were also nice and well maintained, so not a bad area overall.
The host was great to communicate with and very responsive with a problem I had and was able to remedy myself. I greatly appreciate that.
Very close to multiple grocery stores and shopping for anything you may need.
So dreamy! This boathouse really makes you feel like you’re floating on water, with gorgeous views of the harbor from all sides. The hosts were so sweet - they clearly love where they live and take pride in their home. The kitchen was well stocked - there were snacks available which was a nice touch. Plenty of clean towels with a washer and dryer available to use. The wow-factor is that you have direct, private ocean access. The sliding door opens up to a small deck with a ramp that takes you down to the water. The float/dock had two lounge chairs set up, plus two kayaks available - it’s a quiet harbor with picturesque, quintessential Maine views. I loved sipping my coffee, watching the lobster boats come and go and herons flying across the sky. Honesty, this is my dream home - I only wish I could’ve stayed longer. The location is perfection.
With that said, the one and only improvement I would make would be a mattress upgrade - I didn’t lose sleep over it, but it could’ve been comfier. Even so, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
The rental is well stocked with all you'd need, and the water/sunrise views are hard to beat.
The Owners are very friendly and expect their guests to enjoy their stay. They are very quick to answer any questions you may have.
We would definitely stay again!
Spouse and I stayed here for a romantic getaway. Beautiful views from every window. The dock was a fav. Kayaks to paddle around the bay. Lots of nice touches like snacks and coffee. Well done.
This was our first VRBO stay. Hurricane Debbie came through and knocked out the internet along with a couple of other issues
Yue Chan was so helpful with anything that we needed. I would definitely to stay again. We also loved the 2 kyack
Lovely renovated boat house. I will say that if you have mobility issues, this is not the home for you. The windows in the house look out onto the water and I loved pulling the blinds up. Coffee and cream was provided. Linens and blankets were fresh and smelled great.
The issue is the neighboring property and the wifi. You have to pull into a parking space in an apartment unit with some pretty wild characters. Not the owners fault. The wifi was non-existent though. I planned to get some work done on vacation and I just couldn't get a signal. This may not be an issue for others who do not need a connection during vacation.
Good communication other than the wifi stuff...beautiful water views.
The property was as advertised. The boat house was clean and served as the perfect home base for our stay in Maine. The host left coffee and snacks, kayaks and life jackets for our use. The host also checked in with us defying our stay to ensure we had everything we needed,
The home is large and spacious, also right on the water! The space was clean and equipped with everything you could need on vacation, even a new laundry machine. The location is also superb for exploring many coastal towns both North and South. The only drawbacks are that the water is not very swimmable and the furnishings are quite outdated. Despite these minor cons, we would definitely recommend this to others.
Boat house is large, one big room and a bathroom off to the side. Sheets and blankets are high quality. Bed reasonably comfortable. TV large. Kitchen well stocked. Great touches with coffee, snacks, place setting, etc. Slept kids on the couches and that was fine. Place is quiet and just fine for a family.
The owners should be very proud with what they’ve accomplished with this property! It was very clean, they had extra touches such as flowers on the counter, snacks, and well stocked pantry items, slippers, dishes, cookware, etc. The bed was very comfortable and you can’t beat the view with windows on 3 sides of the rental. It was spectacular! Their first aid kit came in handy when my husband burned himself. He used the packet of burn gel and it worked wonderfully.
We definitely want to rent again. Thank you !!
Very clean and very responsive owner. Funky place over the water with a dock and two kayaks. Great views everywhere in the house and the location is great for day trips around the coast.
A unique experience! Very peaceful. Can’t go wrong with water on three sides! Beautiful mornings and sunsets. Provided refrigerated and counter drinks and snacks were a special touch. Enjoyed driving down to Lands End and eating at Sundrenched. Easy drive into town.
Studio has all you need to enjoy a spot on the water. Small deck off studio then down a ramp to a dock. Location is close to Brunswick and a 15-20 minute drive to Orr’s and Bailey Island. Owners very responsive to any questions.
Not recommended for people with mobility problems, young children or a dog that needs walking. Site is on Rt. 24, very busy road, has no lawn, no sidewalks or safe path to walk, no neighborhood or grassy areas.
This property is a refurbished boat house. I realize that all of the pictures are accurate but the place is WAY BETTER than I expected. First of all, the space is HUGE, at more than 800 sq ft. It has a king size bed, a futon, a couch, a dining room table, a huge desk, a bar, a full kitchen with breakfast bar, a washer/dryer, and a bathroom with tub. The dock is right off the back of the property. And because it's a boat house, you're surrounded by water on three sides, which was just lovely. We stayed one night during a bad storm, and although the power flickered a couple of times (this is New England after all!) the place stayed nice and toasty and didn't even rock at all. We cuddled up and enjoyed watching the storm out the back door. The owner was very responsive, too.
The boathouse was amazing. Waking up each morning to seals out the window and lobstermen making their way checking nearby traps was quintessential Maine at its best.
Our hosts were super responsive and definitely went the extra mile with amenities. They went so far as to drop off an incredible sashimi tray and a bottle of sake from their nearby restaurant that must have been the best sushi I’ve had in a long time.
Overall our trip wouldn’t have been the same if it wasn’t for our hosts and the awesome property, I’d love to stay there again, truly like a dream!
This home is in a beautiful and convenient spot. This spot is idyllic for relaxing, reading your book or just enjoying nature. I got to see lots of fish as well as seals. The hosts are incredibly gracious and very helpful with everything we needed. Perfect spot and well worth the stay.
This is a new listing and we were fortunate to be the very first guests! Do not hesitate booking this incredible property because there aren’t a lot of reviews- it IS everything you see in the photos and more! The hosts were very helpful and over the top kind! It was very clean and we had everything we needed. I loved all of the windows that wrapped around the boathouse- we had cool ocean breezes and the most incredible sunrises you’ve ever seen! We especially enjoyed the dock- a great place to relax, fish (super fun), or take the kayaks out and enjoy a peaceful paddle in the beautiful bay. Adult and child life jackets were also supplied. We saw many types of birds including Osprey, gulls, blue heron, cranes, pipers and more and had a seal that entertained us our last day! The location is perfect for anything you want to do. Not far from Portland, close to the cute shops in Brunswick, and a short distance to breathtaking Orr’s & Bailey’s Islands. There are many places to explore. We highly recommend visiting The Giant’s Stairs and shopping at Land’s End Gift Store. Favorite restaurants: Iris Eats Maine (Good for you food!!), Sundrenched (best Haddock I’ve ever had!!) and of course Little Tokyo in Brunswick, owned by the hosts - excellent cuisine & service! We loved the boathouse so much, we stayed an extra day! It was hard to leave this little slice of heaven… but we’ll definitely go back. You will LOVE your stay & you will love the hosts! Don’t hesitate- book now!
