“PS Dream” is a modern mid-century Palm Springs 3bd/2ba private 30ft saltwater pool and spa home (heating optional) with a huge resort-style backyard featuring a relaxing firepit area, plenty of loungers and umbrellas, and sprawling majestic mountain views of the San Jacinto mountains. This luxury rental home resides on a corner lot in the safe and quiet mid-century Racquet Club Estates neighborhood with very close proximity to Downtown Palm Springs best restaurants and activities. “PS Dream” was built in 1959 by the famed Alexander Construction Company, this home's soaring 'butterfly' roof is an icon of mid-century California architecture and has been recently remodeled with modern accents. 300mbps wi-fi internet for all your work and streaming needs. Small dog friendly.
Nestled on an expansive and quiet corner lot in the historic, mid-century Racquet Club Estates neighborhood of Palm Springs, our fully remodeled butterfly Alexander home is a relaxing oasis located minutes from Palm Springs’ best food, bars, and entertainment options. The spectacular west-facing views of the San Jacinto Mountains are entirely unobstructed – a sunbather’s delight by day and, at night, providing a breathtaking view of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway as it makes its ascent to more than 8,500 feet.
The primary bedroom features a king bed with memory foam mattress, 40” Smart TV with basic spectrum, private exit access to the side yard seating area, and en-suite bathroom featuring a remodeled 10-foot vaulted ceiling with skylight and walk-in Moen rain shower. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed with memory foam mattress, a small work desk, and 32” Smart TV with basic spectrum. Bedroom #3 contains a foldable futon sofa and a large work desk area with electric adjustable sit/stand functions and a comfortable ergonomic office chair. Bathroom #2 features a remodeled 10-foot vaulted ceiling with skylight and walk-in Moen rain shower.
Whip up a gourmet meal in the fully stocked open plan kitchen/living area with sparkling quartz countertops and new stainless-steel appliances, while watching hummingbirds thrum around the cacti and bougainvillea in the private oversized back yard. Kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, new appliances including stove with built-in air fryer, refrigerator with separate wine cooler section, dishwasher, blender with ice crushing option, additional ice maker for larger quantities of ice, food processor, Keurig pod/drip combo coffee machine. There’s seating for six in the kitchen/living area or head out the 10-foot sliding glass doors to enjoy your dinner on the patio as you watch the sun set over the mountains.
Washer/dryer combo in bedroom corridor closet. Additional dryer for heavier loads in outdoor shed. There are two non-monitored security cameras on the premises: a ring doorbell cam and on overlooking the driveway.
Three TVs – main living area (55 inches) primary bedroom (40 inches) secondary bedroom (32 inches) All Smart TVs. Basic Spectrum (no cable), Netflix, Hulu, HBO.
At “PS Dream” you can spend relaxing sun filled days lounging with a good book, cooling off in the saltwater pool, unwind in the six-person hot tub, or spend a relaxing evening by the fire pit while taking in unparalleled views of the stunning San Jacinto Mountains and Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. BBQ is a 4 burner propane grill with sear burner and rotisserie function. There is also an outdoor shower at the private west side of the house with mountain views to rinse off after a refreshing swim.
If you prefer someone else to do the work, stroll to popular local eateries, including Boozehounds (0.6 miles/10-minute walk), 1501 Uptown Gastropub (0.8 miles/15-minute walk), or Sandfish (0.8 miles/15-minute walk).
Had enough down time? Wander around our peaceful Racquet Club Estates neighborhood, famously home to more than 500 historic MCM homes, or check out the shops, galleries and eateries in the Uptown Design District (1.3 miles, 5-minute drive). Bustling downtown Palm Springs is just 2 miles, or a 7-minute drive away, for yet more shops, restaurants, museums and nightlife. Close proximity to numerous activities and area attractions like golf courses, tennis, polo, music festivals, casinos, Joshua Tree, Old Town La Quinta, El Paseo, and more.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway station and Visitor Center are 1.5 miles, or a 5-minute drive, away from the house, making planning your vacation a breeze. And once you’ve finished exploring for the day, relax on the oversized sectional sofa while catching up on the latest Netflix, Hulu or HBO offerings, or curl up in the comfy King and Queen beds with memory foam mattresses, before starting it all again tomorrow.
Other things to note:
- Pool with spa heating available at $60 per day including spa or spa only at $35 a night. Maximum temperature allowed for pool is 85 degrees, 104 degrees for the spa. There is a 14-consecutive day minimum for pool and/or spa heating scheduling.
- If you would like to bring one-or-two smaller dogs (30lbs max) to the property there is a $150 non-refundable per dog fee. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a dog so we can submit the bill to you before your arrival. Please no dogs on the beds or living room couch (dog hair found on beds or living room couch will have a dry-cleaning fee post-stay) and ensure to pick-up their droppings.
- Commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles (motor homes, campers, converted trucks, etc.) are not allowed to be parked, stored, kept, constructed, repaired or maintained anywhere on the property except for loading and unloading. Boats and/or boat trailers are not allowed on the property.
- Quiet hours from 10pm to 7am per city rules and in respect of the neighbors.
- Post stay housekeeping is for three hours. Any additional time needed will be charged to the guest in half hour increments at $90hr. Guest paid mid-cleanings are available if you would like cleaning performed during your stay.
- A vacation rental agreement must be completed before arrival and guests are required to provide a copy of their driver’s license at check-in.
