About this property

Palmnest is a beautiful and cosy villa with a private pool and garden. It is located in a very quiet neighbourhood and yet very well situated in the proximity of all the facilities you need during your stay in Mauritius. Restaurants, Supermarkets, Beach, Banks,The national park. The private villa is a perfect location for both a couple looking for privacy and a family with kids who want to spend quality time together in their own time and schedule. Its location a bit uphill gives a view on the ocean from the master bedroom and the downstairs from the outdoor dining and lounge area. The villa is well equipped for our guests to feel at home while on holiday. Fresh towels as well as comfortable bed linens and pillows are there and a cleaning lady will be there to come and clean occasionally to keep the villa clean during your stay. Our two Ladies managing the villa, Astrid and Coralie are here to welcomes our guests and respond to any request they may have before and during their stay at the villa.

Palmnest is located on the West coast of the island, in Tamarin where you will see the most beautiful sunsets on the island. The Black River Gorges the only national park on the island is just 5 minutes away by car and is one where anyone who like nature will be mesmerized by its vegetation and beauty. The West coast has the unique characteristic where it is host to some beautiful beaches on one side and rich nature and green on the other side, all in the same area.

Christmas in Tamarin!

Lovely place to stay with the kids over Christmas . Pool and garden so nice and lovely sunset views over the sea from the balcony. We were sad to leave and Coralie was very helpful throughout. Tamarin is a great spot for beaches, the mountains, and restaurants.

Just Perfect

We travel to Mauritius twice a year and usually stay by the beach however, this time we decided to hopefully find a place that would be our own space. Palmnest was just perfect. Lots of space in the house and the outside space was perfect with a large veranda area for eating or just chilling out with a great view of the sea. The area is quiet but in walking distance to a large well stocked supermarket including fresh warm baguettes and takeaway foods. We had a rental car but only a 5 minute walk to the main road with bus routes to the Capital. Great communication with Coralie who answered any queries promptly and lovely communication with the property owners. We were so happy with Palmnest that we have booked again for next year.

Unvergesslicher Urlaub

Vielen Dank an Astrid und Coralie. Es hat von Buchung bis Abreise alles gepasst. Die beiden waren bei der Organisation unseres Urlaubs sehr hilfreich. Angefangen bei der Kommunikation ab der Buchung, dann die Organisation des Shuttles vom und zum Flughafen, die Hilfe bei der Automietung. Sie waren immer erreichbar . Toller Service. Wir haben uns im Palmnest sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Insel ist eine Reise wert.

Séjour en famille

Très belle maison au calme sur les hauteurs de Rivière Noire, parfaitement équipée pour le confort d'une famille (nous étions 2 adultes et 3 enfants). L'espace est très agréable : 3 chambres à l'étage avec une belle suite parentale, toutes climatisées et beaucoup de rangements. Extérieur sans vis à vis avec une piscine, transats et une vue dégagée très sympa. Le quartier est calme, voisinage très agréable avec toutes commodités à 5 min à pieds. Un grand merci à Coralie pour son accueil et tous ses bons plans sur place (cuisinier / beachs clubs / restaurants...).

Entre charme et désagréments.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cette charmante villa, cependant, deux des trois climatiseurs étaient hors service, ce qui a causé quelques désagréments. Heureusement, la propriétaire a rapidement fait intervenir un technicien, bien que cela ait pris deux jours en raison des jours fériés. Malgré cela, l'un des climatiseurs est resté non fonctionnel, obligeant ma plus jeune à dormir sur des couvertures au sol pendant tout le séjour. Bien qu'un geste commercial ait été proposé, je le trouve insuffisant compte tenu des désagréments occasionnés. De plus, un autre inconvénient était l'absence d'un sèche-linge, contrairement à ce qui était indiqué dans l'annonce.

Joerg and I we have been traveling a lot through the years for work and we have spent a lot of times in hotels. Although hotels have their advantages, we tend to like being in a more private environment. Whenever we travel for holidays with our family, we always look for a place that will make our holiday special. A place that is private for us only, charming, has all the amenities and facilities around. We like to explore, we are not the kind of travelers to lounge all day, we like to go out and discover and the idea that we can come back at the end of the day and relax in our own little oasis is what contributes to a great holiday.

Why they chose this property

The West Coast has the most beautiful sunsets on the island and a a good blend between nature and the sea. It is not as busy as the northern part of the island and it is great for nature lovers and theses who like to take scenic drives along the coast.

What makes this property unique

Our property is very special because it is located in a very private alley, away from the main road, it is a very quiet and peaceful place. As soon as you enter the property you are welcomed by an amazingly green garden with tall palm trees, with the rays of sunlights passing through and as you make your way down in the garden, you already feel a sense of peace and relaxation.
