This well located North Shore Getaway was well placed for all of our favorite hiking spots--Tettegouche and Split Rock and Gooseberry! There was quite a bit of highway noise as the home was right off the highway, but the location couldn't be beat.
It was a comfortable place with good amenities and space. It was too close to the road for safety for our family and pets and very loud at night from the traffic.
Beautiful clean home. Check-in was easy. Communication, with homeowner Was quick to answer any questions that I had. My family highly recommends this beautiful home to anyone who wants to stay in beaver Bay, Minnesota, a cute little town. We love this area and would Stay in the home again.
Very clean and nice place. Thought we would be able to see more of the lake from online listing that what we actually could. Right on the highway, but actually quiet. Bed in the loft very comfortable. The bed on the main floor was okay.
Overall a very nice place to stay. Would stay again
What a great little property! Close to everything you want to do and see along the North Shore! Clean and cozy! Although we were right off the busy highway there was very little traffic noise. Great location!
Very clean and comfortable cabin. Host was excellent at communicating with us about some our arrival plans. Cute sauna, but unfortunately the weather was too warm to our liking to use it. The only thing we were surprised at was how close the cabin was to the highway. The pic on VRBO listing lead us to believe we were more in the woods and closer to Lake Superior. Would recommend as a place close to many of the north shore parks and trails.

Perfect little cabin
If your looking for a perfect little cabin then The Road House is for you! Our family stayed here and had a very nice time. We did have a couple hiccups that were quickly remedied by the property manager! We really appreciated all he did to accommodate our family! I think the only negative thing I could say is that if your coming with kids know that it’s right off the highway. There is a decent driveway for them to ride bikes and what not. You’ll want to supervise the entire time😊
Thanks for the great stay!!
Overall, our stay was enjoyable! The cabin is super cute and stocked with all of the necessities, bonus bathroom products in the shower. It was very easy to get in and out of as it is off hwy 61 however you could hear the traffic into the night and early AM. If noise is an issue while sleeping, I would suggest a fan or noise machine. It was really nice to have multiple king beds - both are very firm. We appreciated having a blow up air mattress available. The sauna is wonderful for relaxing after a long hike! Jake was very responsive, even late into the evening when we arrived & discovered an excessive amount of dog hair throughout the cabin from a previous renter. Thankfully, he had cleaners out the next day while we were out, to touch up. Thank you for sharing your space with us!
We had a wonderful time during our stay at Beaver Bay Roadhouse. We stayed for a weekend and took in all the North Shore sites. The house has all the basic amenities you would hope for along with a few extras. The lower level family room has a large TV, tons of DVDs, books, games, and even a few toys. It was the favorite hangout space for our three kids after spending the days hiking the shore.
The bathrooms are well stocked and clean. The showers have great water pressure and whatever kind of body wash they provide smells great.
The kitchen had all the things you need and plenty of space around the large island for prep. Due to the rain we did not use the grill or the firepit, but we definitely would have if the weather had cooperated.
Please note that if you have anyone one with limited mobility there are some beautiful stone steps (four) up to the front porch. There are railings, but they can be tricky for those who aren't good on uneven surfaces.
I definitely recommend this hidden gem for those looking for a great place to stay during your up north travels.
