Breathtaking Ocean Views, Elegant Poolside Living In Newport County

This gracious New England Home has plenty of space, indoors and out, for entertaining and relaxing. Whether you plan to see all that Newport, RI, has to offer or want to enjoy island living with all the amenities, this vacation property will provide the space and proximity to do it. The home has two levels of decks, the lower one poolside, (pool is heated) to maximize your enjoyment of water views. It is fully connected to internet and cable and has a master suite with King sized bed and private bath/dressing area, two queen bedrooms, each with adjoining full baths, and a loft with three twin beds and a futon. A neighborhood beach is within walking distance (1/2 mile), and a town beach is within a two-mile drive. Newport public beaches are a ten minute drive away, and the neighborhood in which the house is situated abuts a network of walking trails and a park. The house has been completely renovated, updated, and decorated, inside and out. The pool is open starting on Memorial Day weekend and closed mid-September. Cleaning fees additional.

Great time!

We had a wonderful time! House was great! Pool was great! Real good family house for vacations. You never have to leave! The only thing I would suggest would be blackout curtains for the bedrooms. The sun comes up early in June! Would definitely go again! And our host was terrific!

Wonderful home/Beautiful location

We as a family absolutely loved staying at this home. Everything about it was spectacular. The view is amazing and we enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch every day on the deck. The house is immaculate and has everything that you could want. The location made it easy to get to Newport and Bristol and other surrounding locations in RI. This is a five-star home and the home owner was extremely attentive to any questions we asked.

A Beautiful and Special Vacation House!

Our multi-generational family came together from different geographical locations, and we found the house perfect in every way. The space is immaculate, the rooms are well furnished and the views are magnificent. We all loved the pool and enjoyed the spacious deck and dining room for many meals and family activities. The host is attentive and caring. We look forward to a return visit soon!

RI getaway

We had a wonderful stay. The view was amazing, but the pool was the centerpiece, terrific for keeping kids, young and old, very happy. The house was very clean and worked well for all of us, ages 3 to 77. Thanks Liz!

Dream Weekend

Renting this property was easy, delightful, and very stress free. The photos are exactly what the house looks like however it’s even better in person. I stayed here with my sister and a few bridesmaids for my wedding. Plenty of parking, very quiet and private neighborhood with stunning views. If you’re an early riser you can see the sun rise over the water. I cannot thank Elizabeth enough for her wonderful communication. Stunning weekend! I cannot wait to come back and rent this house again, hopefully with the kiddos too.

Great views and great location

We stayed for a week in August and had a fantastic time. The house was ready when we arrived and the listing was very accurate in its description. We had a family reunion that included 8 adults. Liz was very nice and we absolutely loved the view. We love staying in Portsmouth because it’s close enough to Newport but yet provides a quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend this property.

Amazing House

The house was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. It was close enough to Newport to enjoy the hustle and bustle of town but far enough away that we could relax after a long day at the Jazz festival. Our host Liz had some great suggestions for restaurants and wineries. The house itself was well appointed and spotless. We will definitely be coming back.

BEWARE!!

We enjoyed our stayed until I got off the plane, and owner is charging us extra charges in cleaning fees, AND a blind that is broken that we DID NOT break! I was fair in the cleaning fees ( which transfering laundry, empty a refrigerator) which was not big deal, but I agreed.. We re tied up the blind for privacy but it was not broken by us. Bring your own hangers, paper towels and toilet paper!!!!!

Beautiful property in a very special setting with all the amenities.

The perfect place to enjoy family with multiple gracious gathering spaces. Our host, Liz, was extremely responsive and helpful before and during our stay. She helped us to make the most of our time together. The river & back decks were the perfect setting to unwind. The great room and views are even better than the pictures! We love Portsmouth for it’s easy access to so much (food, fun, shopping) on the island. Can’t wait to return!

5 star accommodations but the host came by the property every day and the location was inaccurate.

Our group rented this house for a wedding we were attending in Newport. There were 9 of us and our group consisted primarily of couples and all of us are in our mid 30's. Let me start by saying that the property itself was beautiful. The home was very clean and spacious. It easily fit our group and allowed for plenty of space for the groomsmen to get ready the day of the wedding. The living room allowed us to gather together and the pool was great to have during the day to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. Now for the negatives. I removed a star because the location in the listing was incorrect. The property was shown to be much closer to Thames Street than it is. This has since been corrected on their posting, but they were aware of this and have only recently made this correction. In fact, as soon as I booked the property, they messaged me to inform me the pin location was incorrect. If they were aware of the issue why was this not corrected once it was discovered? I removed another start due to the hosts constantly checking in on us. While almost all reviews spoke highly of the hosts and noted that they were very responsive, which I do agree with, they came by the property every day during our stay. The first night I received a text asking if we checked in OK because they went by the property and we had not arrived yet. Check in was at 4 PM on a Wednesday and we got there around 5:30 PM because we all had worked. I thought this first interaction was nice and assumed the host had just wanted to make sure the check in process went well. Where things started to make our group feel uncomfortable was the next day when the host came by the home. They spoke with one of the couples in our group in the driveway to see how things were going. The next morning while we were out by the pool the host came by yet again. She initially stated she came by to take in the trash bins (which we had already taken in for them). She then entered the gated pool area in the backyard and started walking around the pool to "check on the flowers". Once again on Saturday she showed up at 9 AM when we had until 11 AM to check out. She stated that she was there again to check on the home and mentioned that she had other guests coming later that day. In summary the home itself exceeded our expectations but the hosts unfortunately did not. Our group felt like we were constantly being watched which hindered our experience and made it difficult to relax and feel at home.

This property has it all! You can go to the heart of Newport, or spend quieter time with family and friends right in the home itself. Built in 2002, the home was completely remodeled in 2013 with a brand new kitchen and master suite in 2013, and again in 2021 with two renovated bathrooms and new flooring in the bedrooms and entire downstairs area, as well as redecorated with new furniture inside and out. Our cleaning crew sanitizes our home after every visit according to COVID specifications. If it feels like a new home, that's because the house's features have been prepared and maintained for comfort, cleanliness, and beauty.
