Great location, good house

The stand-out feature of this house is the location - it's a super easy walk into Vineyard Haven with sidewalks from the end of the street that it's on, and the street its on is a very quiet side street. House checks all the boxes for a Vineyard rental - plenty of bedrooms, good seating area, good kitchen.

Comfortable and quiet

Nice, relaxing, roomy house. Very enjoyable. Quiet neighborhood but close enough to town. Backyard was large and shady. Don’t forget to bring your own sheets and towels. Would rent this house again.

Vineyard Haven-Wonderful Week

We were really impressed with this property. The amenities were as described, only better. Pictures never seem to do a property justice. This house and yard were very well maintained. Very quiet neighborhood and street. Pleasant for bike riding. Easy trek to Vineyard Haven shops and restaurants. Overall a very restful spot for a week of exploring the Vineyard. Our evening sunset trips to Lake Tashmoo were the best I've experienced on the island, a short drive from the house. Thanks so much for sharing your home.

Wonderful Vineyard family vacation!

We had a terrific week at Richard's lovely family vacation home. There was plenty of amenities and space for two families with four small kids to gather, relax, eat, and play. The kids got a big kick out of the wild turkeys! Location is great too -- can walk to town or a quick hop over to Lake Tashmoo. We'd love to return!

Two wonderful weeks at Tashmoo Haven. Well cared for comfortable home. great outdoor shower!. Had everything you need for a great vacation. short walk to vineyard haven. Love the black dog!! Convenient to all island locations.. Tashmoo haven is like Tashmoo heaven!

Martha’s Vineyard Perfect Location

Very accommodating owners and a wonderful property. Felt like home the minute we entered. This house is close enough to walk into town yet you still feel like you are away from everything. Would love to come back here again!!

Great Location, short walk to town, and nearby beach.

We had a great time on the Vineyard this year and this home was central to that experience. The owners were very responsive to our questions. The house was spacious and well appointed providing great comfort for our 6 person family (all adults). The location was a very easy walk to the town center for shopping and restaurants.

Awesome property!

Very well kept Home. Plenty of seating areas inside and outside. Nice touches like a hammock and new Weber Gas grill in the back yard. Loved the open kitchen with plenty of windows for great natural lighting. The yard and flower beds were immaculate! Loved the back yard and front as well. Nice quiet street. Plenty of cooking supplies. Nice to have a pack and play and booster seat for our 2yr old. Loved your house!

Comfy home away from home.

We were very impressed with Tashmoo Haven. The owners were a pleasure to deal with during the rental process. The home is set on a quiet street. Only a 10 minute walk to town. Tashmoo Haven offers all the amenities of home. I was able to cook a lot of my favorite dishes very easily in the well stocked kitchen. The eat in kitchen had plenty of seating. I enjoyed watching the wildlife on the back porch early in the morning. It was so peaceful. There is a good size yard. We brought a few yard games. Everyone enjoyed the hammock. We had such a great week exploring the Vineyard. Tashmoo Haven felt like a home away from home.

We keep coming back to Tashmoo Haven!

This is the perfect MV getaway for our family! The home is spacious and airy and has a wonderful summer feel. As soon as we arrive, we feel relaxed. It is a short walk to Main Street in Vineyard Haven and an easy drive to all the popular beaches. We have everything we need. This is a no fuss vacay! And we love the hospitality of the owners--they have thought of everything to make sure renters feel at home. This is our 4th summer at Tashmoo Haven and we can't wait to come back!

Great house and location - walk to town and ferry

Rented Vineyard Haven house on Martha's Vineyard and had a great time. Owners were a pleasure to deal with and were very responsive to all my questions. The house was in a great location too. My wife and I walked from the Vineyard Haven ferry to the house (5 minutes). The walk into town was easy and relaxing with lots of restaurants, shops, etc. to go to. Our friend's that we met up with out there brought their boat and kept it on a mooring in Lake Tashmoo which we could walk to from the house. There were two smaller beaches we walked to also (Lake Tashmoo and Vineyard Haven). Lots of stuff to walk to but to explore everything the island has to offer you want access to a car. Lots to see across the island. Having 4 bedrooms and 2 baths the house had plenty of room for everyone. Although, I never once took a shower inside as I really enjoyed the outdoor shower each day after the beach.

A Home Away from Home

This is my second time staying at this property. Last year I visited with my friends, and the home accommodated six of us quite well. It is the perfect location to main street in Vineyard Haven, to the beach, and because we had a car, an easy commute to other MV sites. I was excited to return this year with my family. I was able to work with the property manager to select a week--the entire rental process was professional. She communicated with me regularly and made sure I was well-informed and prepared for our stay, including reminders to book our ferry to bring the car over and to rent linens. When we arrived this year, my husband and son said that they felt right at home. The property has a comfy, relaxed feel. I was so impressed because the house is so well-appointed. The owners have everything there that you might need for a stress-free stay. It easily is becoming our home away from home on the Vineyard. We look forward to returning next year!

A lovely and wonderful house close to everywhere!

This was such a wonderful house which accommodated my whole family of 9 people and was so comfortable and clean. Even the thoughtful gesture of a booster high chair, little pool and even two little chairs for outside was great! And the walks we took everywhere was beautiful!

Wonderful family vacation rental!

A spotless family-oriented vacation rental close to town. Everything you need is here. Quiet and peaceful for a relaxing vacation. Walking distance to town. Owners make you feel like family, with their customer service and attention to your needs. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and relatives. Island living at it's best!

Charming, clean & comfortable!

I can not fully express how pleased I was when I pulled into the driveway and walked thru the door- just as the pictures had shown it to be - charming clean & comfortable. Morning coffee let us see a mother deer and her fawn walk thru the back yard - a 10 minute stroll into town for icecream - a lazy nap on the hammock...does life get any better than that?!! The neighbors were quiet and the street traffic was light so at night it was just a peaceful haven. I would rate this 10 stars and recommend it 100%. Thank you for making me feel right at home!
