About this property

Cozy Cabin with Access to Beautiful Moosehead Lake. Pet friendly!

Bathroom REMODEL and other UPGRADES have been completed (Summer 2023). Come check it out!

Our quiet, rustic cabin (a.k.a. camp) offers small families and couples a cozy, home-away-from-home after a fun filled day of hiking, fishing, kayaking, or many of the other outdoor activities available around Moosehead Lake. Make wonderful memories with family and friends outside on the deck, inside by the wood stove, or relaxing by the fire pit.

Two bedrooms accommodate four adults comfortably, and if needed, additional sleeping space is available with futons in the living room and private sunroom. (Reservations limited to maximum of 6 people.) A well-stocked kitchen provides all you need while away from home. Sit back in our Adirondack style chairs and enjoy your morning coffee on our quiet deck. Deer, chipmunks, and humming birds are regular visitors. A gas grill is also available for cooking up your own culinary specialties or comfort foods like burgers and dogs. The cabin's open lot provides a space to play and an inviting fire pit ready for Smores and sharing family stories. Wood for fire pit is provided.

The open floor plan creates a comfortable atmosphere with a separate sunroom if you need a little extra space. The sunroom is perfect for settling down with your favorite book, your morning coffee, or an afternoon nap. It can also be used as an extra bedroom. On cool nights, the wood stove in the living room provides plenty of warmth and adds to the already cozy atmosphere. (Firewood provided in woodbox under window.) Electric heaters are also available.

Our WIFI-free cabin is perfect for those who wish to 'unplug' while enjoying a relaxing vacation! (However, cell phone service at the cabin is reliable for most carriers.) Choose one of our family-friendly DVD's and enjoy a movie night on our flat screen TV. All you need to provide is the popcorn! Or spend an evening of laughter and family fun with the wide selection of board games and cards! Or settle down with a book from our collection or yours from home. HOWEVER, if you must tear yourself away from the peace and quiet of the cabin, the library in town offers daily use of their internet service.

Our cabin is located on quiet Harford's Point with Moosehead Lake access only 100 yards away. The trailhead to the lake is immediately across the road from the cabin and an easy walk to a quiet dock. Another good place for your morning coffee or star gazing at night! Enjoy a day of swimming and relaxing at the grassy beach (our 2nd lake access ... perfect for younger children) and an evening of grilling and sitting by the fire. Trails suitable for beginners up to expert hikers are within a short drive. The roads on Harford's Point are also an excellent place to walk, jog, and ride bikes! There are two 9-hole golf courses, Mountain Village & Golf and Mount Kineo Golf Course, which are minutes away from the cabin. The town of Greenville is a short drive away and offers restaurants, museums, grocery stores, a library, and many gift and/or outdoor shops. Kayaks, canoes and bikes are available for rent in town. You can sign up for moose safari tours and scenic plane rides. Take a scenic tour of the lake on the Katahdin, a steamboat (now converted to diesel) in use on the lake since 1936.

The cabin was perfect, it was very clean and cozy just as described by the host. Close to town and great hikes and golf. The only thing missing was a lake view from the cabin...but grateful that we had two ways to access the water. Thanks so much for letting us stay on such short notice. We love Moosehead Lake and the area holds special memories for us.

Great Property for a getaway at Moosehead Lake
What a cozy little camp for our getaway to Moosehead Lake. The camp was very cozy and very clean. Lots of sleeping room, kitchen fully equipped, all of the linens, bath towels etc were provided. We enjoyed the short walk to a dock or to the Grassy beach area to enjoy the Lake views. We absolutely loved the outdoor area both the covered the porch and we also loved being able to have a quiet evening by the fire. Close to Greenville and Lily Bay State Park. The entire trip was relaxing and fun. Even when locked ourselves out of the camp,🙄 the host was quick to come unlock the camp for us and was very understanding about it. I would def recommend this property and hosts for a stay.

Slice of Heaven!!
This camp really is a slice of heaven! The camp had everything you could possibly need to make our stay away from home so homey!! Our family had such a great time! And the best part was we were able to bring our dog, who we never leave behind! The nightly price was affordable, the neighbors were friendly, and we loved going down to the dock and grassy beach! Our only complaint would be towards Mother Nature who blessed us with an invasion of white caterpillars that were all over the outside deck and roof (there were hundreds of them!!) The nightly price was very affordable, the cabin was adorable, and fit our every need! We hope to be back next year! And hopefully can stay longer than 4 days!

We loved our stay at this cabin! So cute and clean, in a great location close to downtown Greenville and Lily Bay State Park! It was quiet, cozy, and lovely. Plenty of space for our little family! We enjoyed the walk across the street right down to the dock and a peaceful sit by the lake. And we enjoyed a relaxing night by the campfire. It was the perfect getaway for us!

Perfect vacation
“Slice of Heaven” was just that. I visit Moosehead Lake quite often as Maine is the only place I ever want to visit. The cabin was perfect. Lovely deck for the rainy days, loads of sleeping areas for extra people or different nap locations. The kitchen was stocked, bathroom was functional and comfortable”e too! The windows and fans helped cool things off for the warmer days. The best part, I was allowed to bring my two pups to enjoy the majesty of Moosehead as well! I’m really not sure who enjoyed our stay more, but we truly appreciate allowing us to spend time together in heaven.

Upta Camp
This camp is exactly that. Campy. Kitchen had plenty of supplies to cook meals. Being without wifi or cable was a good way to escape the typical day to day. We did have cell service with AT&T so that was comforting. They have movies but you can also rent some at redbox in the grocery store in town. The bathroom was being renovated but that did not bother us as we were only there for a weekend. The location is great with a little trail across the street to beautiful views and access to the lake. Large bedrooms, the bedroom mattresses are was very uncomfortable so we ended up sleeping on the futon in the living room. Plenty of spaces to sleep, but the mattresses could be replaced. We love staying in Harford's point so we would deffently recommend staying in the area again.

We are a couple from Virginia who have been vacationing at Moosehead Lake since 1989. One of us is a Pennsylvania native while the other is a Tennessean. We both graduated from the University of Tennessee and landed in Virginia after getting married.

Why they chose this property

Our family just loves this cabin, and we know you will, too! It's cozy and inviting, like a cabin in the woods should be. In Maine, the cabins are called camps...the first time we walked in, we thought, 'Yes! This is how a camp should feel!' The inside is charming and inviting, yet functional. The openness of the main room provides space for family meals, board games, movies, or whatever you are in the mood for. Need a little peace and quiet? You will find the sunroom is just the place for you! Take a nap, curl up with a good book, or just chill ... your choice. Outside on the deck, you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee, evening beverage, or time with the special people in your life. Don't be alarmed by the deer wandering through the woods, the chipmunks scurrying across the deck, or the loon calling from the lake. Children of all ages will enjoy the fire pit complete with Smore's and the creation of many family memories!

We have been vacationing at Moosehead Lake since 1989, when we were a young couple and were invited up by a good friend who is a Greenville native. Many years and four children later, we are thankful to say that our family has spent part of every summer swimming, boating, hiking and relaxing at the lake. For a long time, we dreamed about buying a place of our own in this beautiful place. In fact, we drove past this property numerous times each summer on our way to the cabin where we stayed. We were so excited when the opportunity to buy it came up and we became homeowners in 2010. We hope to pass this camp down to future generations so that our grandchildren and maybe even great-grandchildren can enjoy it also. We LOVE Moosehead Lake, Greenville and the surrounding area and want others to be able to enjoy it, too!

What makes this property unique

- family vacation
- couples' retreat
- weekend getaway, or
- honeymoon
- Affordable, budget-friendly accommodations
