Great location for skiing Vail. Nicely decorated and good bedroom/bathroom arrangements. Kitchen appointments and appliances could use a good cleaning, greater quantity and improvement.
We were in town for a family ski trip and knew this location from prior trips. Being located on the bus route and steps from the bus stop is super convenient for folks who take advantage of Vail's great bus system. The condo was perfect for our family of 5. We spread out among the three floors and had ample room to relax. The property was wonderfully stocked with those little things that come in handy for travelers - like, paper towels, sugar, trash bags, etc. And the kitchen had everything you needed to make meals and enjoy eating in. That was a wonderful surprise for us and really made staying at this location a bonus. We would highly recommend staying here again!
Marcy’s townhouse was the perfect place for our crew over MLK weekend. Like the other reviews state, the photos do not do the place justice! The location was phenomenal, just a single bus stop away from the Hyatt (which has its own chairlift to the mountain) and a few stops away from Vail Village. The wood burning fireplace was amazing especially during the subzero cold front that rolled through during our stay.Marcy was extremely responsive and check-in / out was super easy. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will likely be staying here again!
We stayed here with our three kids and my in-laws and there was plenty of room for us all. The home was the perfect location for skiing at Vail. The bus stop was literally a few steps from the home and made it super convenient to getting to the slopes.Marcy has an excellent host and was very helpful during the stay. We were able to park two cars at the location which was great as well. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Challenges with Temperature
Overall, our stay was good. The condo is spacious and well equipped, truly steps from the bus stop. We had two issues--first, we struggled with climate control. The upstairs was hot and the basement was cold. We were unable to change the settings and never got the issue resolved. Second, the condo was partly updated. There are lots of steps as each floor is multi-level. The furniture and some carpet appeared older and a bit worn, but the kitchen and basement were updated. Not a big deal and didn't detract from the stay. The proximity to the bus stop was a great advantage
The pictures don’t do it justice. This was the perfect condo for my family for our ski trip to Vail! It was in an awesome location and had a fully stocked and functioning kitchen! Highly recommend!
Fantastic place to stay to ski Vail. Priced right and plenty of space!

Good value, but could be improved
Our initial reaction to this property was that it did not appear as depicted in the ad. Even in broad daylight, it was extremely dark. Trees, overgrown, and no shoveling or ice removal to get to the bus stop from either side of the unit.
There are some very odd structural issues. The bar at the kitchen is raised up as though it was on the stage. Very unsafe for any ages. Difficult to get around the stools without risking falling . Multiple other awkward transitions to different levels, including a step up on to Slate to get to lower level bathroom from bedroom. Dangerous at night. Pull out couch in the living room needs replacement. Bunkbeds, very uncomfortable, and exchange to two twin beds would be recommended. No word for fireplace so you have to take a bus or go by car to get it. Not any dishwasher pods provided. This should be unlikely to know before arrival. Big disappointment was the Jacuzzi tub. Cannot be full of hot water. There is not enough hot water to fill it. Owner says she’s never known this since she doesn’t fill it. Bathrooms are beautiful and kitchen is renovated. Cast of very difficult to light even with mattress. Resulting in a lot of gas before success. Towels and bedding were good. Overall the location near the bus stop and the price made it a good value, but it would be unlikely to stay here again.
We loved staying at this wonderful townhome, and the host was very helpful and responsive. The separate downstairs suite was perfect for a couple with children that slept in the game room. The top floor primary suite is spacious and luxurious. Sounds trite but the shower head in the master bath is luxurious and feels great after a long day of skiing! The kitchen and living area live large and we LOVED the bus stop only being 10 steps away and only 2 stops from the Cascade lift. SUPER convenient!! Would love to stay here again.
We were very happy with our stay! Easy check in and responsive owners. The place was clean, comfortable, with plenty of space and all the amenities we needed. Bus stop is around the corner (1 min walk) and only a 5 min drive from Lionshead Village. Wi-Fi worked great. Thanks!!
Access to skiing: For those of us who don't want to overpay for ski in/ski out properties, which is especially acute at Vail, this place is fantastic as the bus access is great. Although Vail is modeled for a Tyrolian experience its buses are Japanese efficient and on time. The bus stop is literally 10-15 steps from the front door of property. Going to the resort they run every 1/2 hour (top of the hour and middle of the hour ie 7,730,8 etc) you can get off at Cascade lift area or West Lionshead Circle for the Eagle Bahn and Born Free lifts or go to the main vail village. And there are good options in Lionshead Village to rent/ leave your skis -we used Ski Base. On way back home busses run every 1/2 hour but on the quarter hour ie 3:15, 3:45, etc. Bus to ski is Red line bus to come home to Matterhorn stop is green line.
Property: townhouse very nice and clean with a couple of kitchen nit pics not worth mentioning. Kitchen a little tight but very well stocked for cooking in and the gas stove is a welcome feature in a ski place.
Overall highly recommend
property was exactly as shown in photos - the best part was the proximity to the bus that takes you right to the slopes. A few quirky things about the layout but was a good home base for 2 adults and 3 children.
My family and I had a great time. The house was perfect and in a great location near everything you need. Beds very comfortable. The host is very responsive.
We had a great stay at Marcy’s property. Very comfortable with all the amenities we needed to relax. The short bus ride just steps out the door made it very convenient to get to Vail. The only thing we wished the place had was some recommendations for restaurants and a bus schedule or info but we were also able to google those things with no issue.
Thanks for a great stay!
What a place! So happy it was available and relative to a lot of the overpriced options on the mountain it was a really good deal for the location. The host answered the few questions that came up super fast. In case it helps anyone, in 2022 the red buses to the mountain are at :00 and :30. The green return buses are :15 and :45.

About the host
Hosted by Marcy Linxwiler
I grew up in South Louisiana but came to visit Colorado in 2005 where I fell in love with Vail. It started my passion for this incredible state and even more amazing town of Vail. Me and my family purchased this property in 2010 and had come to live there, for some time, during the 2016-2017 ski season. It was an amazing experience for both me and my 2 daughters to ski and be a part of the community. We love to ski, hike, rock climb, and ride our bikes to Lionshead and Vail Village.
Why they chose this property
I have stayed in different areas of the valley and fell in love with the Matterhorn area due to its close proximity to shopping/skiing but still in a neighborhood setting.
What makes this property unique
Its 10 steps from the local bus stop, 1 minute walk to the local park, 15 steps from Gore Creek bank.
Premier Host
They consistently provide great experiences for their guests
