It is important for our large company that everyone has their own room. Including a dog. And there are really a lot of them in this house. An interesting house with a long history. 100 years of history ;)10 minutes drive from Okemo skiIt was an interesting experience. But not for someone who is looking for luxury
We had a wonderful ski weekend at this beautiful house. Our group comprised of 3 families. The house is huge, and fit all of us comfortably with privacy, and room to spare! We fully enjoyed playing games and relaxing every night by the fire. We also had fun sledding in the yard! The house is fully stocked with absolutely everything you need.
It is a short easy drive to Okemo Mtn. It was so great being able to easily pick up and drop each other off, especially since on Saturday that weekend, the mountain was so crowded they had no parking!
Karen was a wonderful host, and such a pleasure to work with. She was super helpful, and very responsive. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We will definitely be back!
11 family and friends spend a wonderful white Christmas in Mt. Holly. Thank you Karen for sharing a great property. With a few Christmas decorations and lights, the vacation become one that will not be forgotten. I really loved that fact that the Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to feed an army hunkered down in the snowfall. Karen was a great host and I would come back in an instant.
We had a fun time at the home. It was an easy ride over to Okemo. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The house is large, lots of room to spread out. We had a fire each evening with plenty of wood right there in the basement. An excellent few days in Vermonet skiing!
Karen was absolutely a great host! We will definitely be back! The yard was huge we played games, flew kites, played fetch, watched the stars and roasted marshmallows. There was room for everyone (all 13 of us) and then some. We visited buttermilk falls (worth it) and camp Plymouth state park where we went swimming and kayaking! Overall great stay!
Spacious and comfortable with great architectural details
Our two families with young kids, total
of 9 plus a dog, had a great time. There is so much room to move around, play, and relax. There were lots of household items on hand, just like your own home would have, that were very helpful - laundry machines with detergent, lots of linens, leftover pantry staples, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. I wish I brought extra baby gates because there’s a very steep back staircase and many antique doors don’t latch so it was difficult to keep my 18 month old contained, but great otherwise.
We rented this charming house for a couple of days with the family and we had such an amazing time. The owner Karen was such a pleasure and she was always available when needed. Okemo Mountain is literally 13 mins away and that was a plus! Definitely will recommend this lovely home. It is huge and fits 12-14 people comfortably.
Grand old house well along the updating process. Very spacious, 7 bedrooms, large comfortable common rooms, wood burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, numerous books, toys and games, and a perfect hill for snotubing. And only a few miles from Okemo Ski Resort!
My friends and I stayed here for a ski weekend and had a great time. The house is beautiful and they have the photo album of the restoration process. The host was very communicative and the house was clean. About 40 minutes to Killington and 15 minutes to Okemo. We would definitely stay here again.
I'm not exactly sure where to start, the house is lovely and incredibly spacious. It really fits 10-12 adults unlike most listings near ski resorts. The property is huge with ample space for whatever outdoor activities you could think of. Inside the rooms are cozy and intimate while having seating for everyone in a large family or group. There's also enough refrigerator and pantry space to store food in order to feed all of your guests. Lastly, Karen could not be a nicer host to communicate with.
This was our second time at this adorable home and we enjoyed it just as much. Such a wonderful home! The families we stayed with had a wonderful experience. The kitchen is the perfect size for feeding our crew too;)!
We feel so blessed to have stayed in this home. It is so unique and beautiful. Plenty of space for our families, wonderfully close to Okemo mountain. The kitchen was a great size for meal prepping, serving and entertaining. Loved all the bright windows! Countless rooms for couples and kids. Everything was well stocked for use. We loved the grounds for cross country skiing too. Karen was very responsive and helpful! It was a pleasure working with her. We look forward to staying at their home again in the near future!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was old but very cool. It’s definitely a great place for large groups who need a casual place to stay while enjoying the area.
As others have said, the pic to just don’t do the house justice. It is gigantic and full of treasures. The internet is very strong. We were able to work and do school there with few problems. Karen the host is lovely and kept in good contact. Lots of fun Snow toys and we also really enjoyed playing on the large property! We practicing skiing, snowboarding and xcountry right there. The house is not sterile like a hotel, although very clean/ we loved it and home to return!
The pictures do not do Karen's house justice. It's unique and fun. And the access to Okemo is great.

Fascinating home
Extremely fascinating and well positioned home. Great views , very large. Must be said home is still a work in progress although it is in its final stages so some adaptation is necessary although to us was part of the charm
Highly recommend!

Why they chose this property
When we found this house in 1985 ... We were sightseeing the fall foliage with friends from NJ whom we met when we were vacationing in Paris. When we turned onto Hortonville Road and went up the hill towards the house I yelled "Stop the Car, Stop the Car"!! It was meant to be!
What makes this property unique
Great view and yard to hang out with friends/family. Spacious house to relax in and wonderful outdoor spots to visit. Okemo Man Resort, Appalachian Trail, Buttermilk Falls, Golfing, and local Ski Mountain summer resort activities.
