Welcome to our spectacular ground-floor, beachfront condo located on the quiet north end of Akumal's Half Moon Bay. This two-bedroom, two-bath condo in the top-rated La Sirena complex is the perfect place for a tranquil tropical getaway. With less than 30 steps to your private beach, enjoy white sand and the beautiful blue Caribbean.

Absolutely Perfect Stay in Akumal

Our stay in Akumal was nothing short of amazing! From the beautiful accommodations to the incredible location, everything was perfect. The owner went above and beyond to provide us with helpful information about the area, ensuring we were well-prepared for our trip. She was extremely communicative and informative, making the experience seamless and enjoyable. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are already hoping to return next year! Highly recommend!

Going Back Again!

The location of this VRBO is great! You can walk to so many places. Coffee shops, restaurants, beaches, snorkeling. But you can also go out the back door and snorkel in the bay. The VRBO has done many upgrades and it is super clean. The property manager on duty is great and responded quickly when I thought there was no hot water. The maintenance personnel were so helpful when, I day one, we locked ourselves out. (We all thought each other left the keys in the lockbox). The cleaning lady discovered my passport, which fell behind a table. She quickly notified the property manager, who called the VRBO owner, who called me.I was almost to the airport! They all pitched in, found a taxi to drive the passport to the airport and I got my passport on time to get on my scheduled flight. So much gratitude for all of their quick responses! I wonderful place to stay! Give it a try. Remember to check for your passport when you leave. :-) Connie

Great Place to Relax

Based on the pictures and reviews it was exactly as expected. All of the details were covered with respect to the unit. The neighbor is very nice with many upscale homes. The view of Half Moon Bay is awesome. The weather was less desirable than would have liked, so we spent a lot of time in the unit and it was very comfortable.

Beautiful!

Awesome location near great snorkeling at Yal Kul and in half moon bay for more advanced snorkeling when the conditions are calm. We stayed as a couple but kids or adults could have loved the poolside balcony room.

Beautiful!

A really beautiful spot, and our new favorite place to rent in Akumal (we are annual visitors, but new to La Serena). We loved the two-bedroom condo facing the ocean, with outdoor patio and additional lounge chairs on the sand; we liked how family friendly it was, and how easy to use the stone pathway to snorkel right from the property. The gardens were amazing, and the pool is unmatched! This was our 12-year-old's favorite place to be, and the pool is large enough to accommodate a lot people and activity. We thoroughly enjoyed the lay-out and the chance to meet families from lots of different places. Francesca is extremely helpful and accessible, and set-up with Sandi was easy. Stay here! It's a wonderful, beautiful spot.

A paradise place

We are very pleased that we chose this place for our vacation. It might not have the most modern amenities but it is definitely has it's own Mexican charm that we really like. The view from the window was just spectacular. It probably was the most beautiful view from the window that we've ever seen. The blue ocean was just right in front of you and hearing its sound made this place even more amazing. Sandy, the owner of the place made it very special by putting so much effort into interior details. There were so many authentic accessories all around the condo that would remind you that you were actually in Mexico. Sandy communicated with us very well throughout the whole booking process. She gave us lots of great advices and suggestions. Franchesca, a manager at this place, was very friendly and helped us in navigating to the places that we wanted to go to. Overall, we would highly recommend this place. Thank you Sandy and Franchesca for making our stay so special.

Fantastic stay

We were fortunate to stay for four nights and had a wonderful time. The pictures on the site are gorgeous and in person even better. The condo is in a gated community in akumal bay and situated to get a great view of the bay and nice sunsets. There is not a real beach in this stretch but you can step right out into the bay to snorkel and the water is exceptionally clear. The house was immaculate and surprisingly a maid came to clean each day. The beds were very comfortable. The only downsides were no washer/dryer and that you can’t flush toilet paper but this was true for our second rental in the area so I think this is normal. Sarah was exceptionally responsive to questions and requests and checkout was a breeze. Unfortunately my daughter left her wallet at the unit when we left. Even though it was Christmas Eve, Sarah was super responsive and made sure that the staff kept it safe and we gratefully picked it up from the manager a few days later. If we come back again I’d love to return.

Akumal Bliss

We absolutely loved our stay. The condo is clean and well situated with a patio overlooking the beach. We loved snorkeling directly out from shore and the sizable pool. This was the perfect, low-key family getaway - quiet enough to relax and recharge, but enough activity to enjoy eating out and going on a few excursions. The lagoon was our favorite, and it's a short walk from the Condo. Highly recommend!

Snorkeling Paradise

A group of four of us, myself, my husband, brother and sister in law wanted a perfect location to celebrate 2 birthdays, an anniversary and retirement. We chose the perfect spot. The condo has the most beautiful grounds and best pool. We also chose this location for ease of snorkeling Half Moon Bay. The condo itself was thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. We hope to return in the near future. We’ve stayed all over Half Moon Bay and this condo is our favorite!

Peaceful condo

My husband, daughter and I absolutely loved our stay here. It’s a spacious condo with everything you need for cooking your own meals. The beds are super comfortable and the condo was clean. The view is absolutely beautiful and seen from everywhere in the condo pretty much. We also loved the garden and pool. It was quiet and close to restaurants and shops, although I do recommend renting a golf cart as it’s about a 30 minute walk to the “hub” and it gets very hot walking there. Especially if you have kids with you. We loved having a golf cart to rip around in. Staff at the condo were very friendly. Julie was awesome and let us check in early and check out late which was super helpful. Highly recommend staying if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet place to enjoy Akumal.

Canucks on the loose

Very nice location in a quiet neighborhood close to amenities. Nice snorkeling in front of the condo BUT WATCH OUT FOR RIP CURRENTS DURING HIGER THAN NORMAL WIND CONDITIONS. Best to reserve your golf cart well in advance. The Pueblo has some good savings and is worth a visit. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Wonderful location

This great little condo was just what we needed for 3 days before meeting up with our big family. The location is great because you have the bay out your back door or the Lagoon that is a very short walk up the road. We also found great pizza at the Italian restaurant down the street. We had a few things pop up during our stay and Julie always got right back to me. She solved all my problems for me, which was a huge relief to know if you have a problem or just a question she will get right back to you.

Great place to stay.

The accommodations were great with direct access to pool and beach. Lots of space for a family of 4. A car rental or other transportation is needed to get around as the walk to Akumal village is long. Nearby restaurants are all great.

Beautiful place

We loved our stay at La Sirena. The snorkelling was a the best snorkelling in the area. It was really convenient to be on the first floor as we could relax on the beach and leave our drinks cooling inside!! It was great to use the provided water shoes and fins to assist with our snorkelling (you wouldn’t want to go in the water without water shoes). Julie was very helpful and responsive. The property manager was very helpful and the cleaning lady was a god send. The only negative was the presence of some ants in the kitchen area but I think that’s just part of life. We managed to work around it!! The unit was well equipped with coffee maker, blender (very handy) cooking utensils. We really were not lacking for anything. Thanks Julie for a great stay!!! Perfect location!

We are so glad we stayed at Sirena 3! If you are looking for what the Mexican Riviera used to be like before all of the mega hotels/restaurants moved in, this is your place. We loved snorkeling on the reef right outside our door and since it is on a shallow lagoon--where boats are not allowed--the reef was in great shape with lots of marine life. This is our new favorite spot in Mexico!

Exceeded our expectations - was perfect! Beautiful condo right on the beach with a gorgeous pool.

My husband, teenage son and I had the most amazing visit here. The condo is in a fantastic location on the far end of Half Moon Bay, across from the entrance to Yalku Lagoon. The beds & bedding were extremely comfortable, and the condo had amazing views and access to spectacular snorkeling in Half Moon Bay just steps from the back porch. The pool area is a wonderful oasis with a full time gardener who maintains the gorgeous flowers and plants. It's very quiet and private at night, and across the street from the National Guard post, which made us feel 100% safe. There are several restaurants and a small convenience store with in walking distance. The town of Akumal is just a short drive away. The perfect place if you want a quiet, private location that makes you feel like you have the entire bay to yourself. We snorkeled every day, twice a day. So amazing to be so close to world class snorkeling. We also golfed a couple of times. Several fantastic course options that are 20 - 40 minutes away. The Tulum rooms were also a short drive, and the ATV tour in the Monkey Sanctuary was an awesome experience. This is across the highway in the Akumal Pueblo, which also has exceptional street art everywhere. We've stayed in Playa del Carmen and Cancun before, but we love Akumal so much more to get away from the crazy tourist scene.

A perfect stay in Akumal

Just returned from a several night stay at this lovely condo, and we could not have been happier with our choice! The view from the private patio out to the ocean is absolutely stunning, and being on the garden level and able to walk out onto the sand was priceless. The unit is very well equipped, sun-filled and bright. The entire building, gardens, and setting is so peaceful - plus it’s walking distance to a huge cenote as well. Bonus points for being a short walk to restaurants La Buena Vida and La Lunita, both of which offer amazing outdoor dining and cocktails with sweeping views of Half Moon Bay. Best of all was having Julie as our host - she provides a comprehensive orientation packet via email so you hit the ground running immediately upon arrival. And she was just delightful to deal with, so prompt in communicating and even allowing us a late departure time, which was so incredibly helpful to our party. She is the gold standard as far as I’m concerned! In short, book this place if it’s available - you won’t regret it.

Excellent for families

Our stay at this condo was wonderful and had absolutely everything we could need for a family of 4. The condo is clean, bright and airy, the beds are very comfortable, and the private patio and beach front location are unparalleled. The maid service is a plus and Julie, the host, provided excellent information and tips on local restaurants and things to do. We even rented beach cruisers (highly recommend!) from the front office which just increased the level of fun we had in Akumal. We would love to stay here again and already miss the easy, tropical lifestyle this condo provides.

Location!

Loved the beautiful location! We enjoyed the snorkeling and the local restaurants. Renting bikes is a must, it's so much faster to get around than driving. Great condo!

This condo checked every box!

Absolutely wonderful visit to this location for my wife’s 50th birthday along with two friends of ours. We consistently asked ourselves what was missing and none of us could come up with an answer. We loved the walk out convenience on the ground floor to the water, all amenities that we needed were there, did not want to leave to the cold weather back home.

Excellent location

This is our second time staying in Akumal, and the location was perfect. La Sirena is right on the Beach, close to thr end of the road in North Akumal, so it is very quiet. There were always beach chairs available and we loved snorkeling an swimming right in front of thr condo. The pool was a great option when thr wind kicked up or when we wanted some fresh water for swimming. The host of this condo, Julie, was exceptional - she was easy to communicate with and provided great information such as how to schedule covid tests at the condo before our flight. The condo was perfect for two adult couples. Akumal itself feels very secure (there is a National Giard station at the end of the road) and the residents are extremely friendly and helpful.

we chose this neighborhood because it is on the north end of Akumal making it quiet and private on the beach. The National Guard is right across the street so it feels very safe.

Our property is unique and that it never gets any seaweed on the beach. it is also right across the street from the famous yal-ku Lagoon.
