About this property

Tiny Home farm stay minutes from rafting and Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Stay in our rustic, cozy, tiny cottage, The Hawks Nest, tucked into the woods on our remote 162 acre farm. Far away from the crowds but close to hiking and rafting in Cosby, the Adventurous side of the Smokies awaits! The Farm at Stillwater Sanctuary is a beautiful space, with 5 horses and a mule, farm dogs, chickens and ducks with farm fresh eggs when available upon arrival, a fire pit, hiking trails and a pond to swim in on hot summer days.
The space
Our tiny home was built by hand using recycled materials. The cabin is hidden on a dirt path in the woods.
Guest access
Explore all 162 acres while staying at this unique Sanctuary. Several hiking trails will take you to the top of the ridges, into the woods and along the pond. There is also a nearby firepit where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and listen to the night sounds.
Other things to note
The cabin is in the woods. You will park and walk on a dirt trail to your cabin. We provide a wagon for your convenience to help you take your gear to your little cottage in the woods. You will walk the dirt path and pass the caretaker cottage, continue to the left on the trail to the Hawks Nest.

The cottage is a tiny house with a loft to the bedroom. You will climb a steep set of stairs that are similar to a ladder.

The Llama Treks attraction is located next door to our farm. You may hear them giving a tour on their property.

Aside from the guided tour on property, we also offer tours inside the Smoky Mountains, through our company, A Walk in the Woods. All of our tours are run by certified naturalists. With advance notice we are happy to give you a naturalist tour of our unique property. For a fee he will also take you on a trail ride.

Our Caretaker is also happy to have you shadow him on his daily rounds.

We have a steep gravel driveway so low lying vehicles are not recommended.

The road to the farm is a remote gravel road which is far away from the main road.

This rustic cottage is perfect for those who want to experience solitude in a remote setting. There is no WiFi.

Tennessee trip

It was a beautiful property. So many animals and sights to see. I loved the cabin so much it was absolutely gorgeous. Thinking about coming back again one day.
