The village is a historic WWII Army Barracks converted into vacation rentals, soft-retirement community, and 9-hole golf course right along St. George Sound. Park for free and bring your boat--the ramp is down the hill--and fish Dog Island or roll into the nearby town of Carrabelle by sea! It's only a 5-minute drive to Carrabelle or a 30-minute drive to the ranked beaches of St. George Island or the oystering village of Apalachicola. Our unit has a king bed, brand new futon, kitchen, and front & back patios!

Perfect.

Our goal renting this property was to go to the worm grunting festival.It was exactly what we needed. Cozy. Clean. Cute.Really enjoyed it.

Where to retire for the long term

We came to see what Lanark Village was about as a retirement option. We definitely could see ourselves there. Very laid back and the community of people there were very friendly and open. We will be making more trips there for sure.

A quiet getaway

I used to live in this community and it was nice finding a place to relax and stay at that was affordable for my stay. Would recommend it to anyone that wants to unwind from the city life for a little while.

Fantastic Stay

Loved this little cottage! The place was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. The location was very quiet and we felt safe. It was not far from Carrabelle and easy to access. Our host made our check in easy, and his directions were easy to understand. Will be booking again in the future! Would highly recommend.

WOW!!

Wonderful community. Wonderful host more than willing to be helpful. I’m here in transition moving, starting new job etc. Host attentive, responsive, doing everything to make sure in this stressful time they are making sure I have no stress. Community is perfect, quiet, kind neighbors, kind community!! Forgotten coast is a lil piece of heaven!!
