Old Forge charm

Lovely, we’ll-appointed house close to Lake Forge but in a woodsy setting. The included corn hole game and canoe/kayaks were used daily and the deer wandering through the yard entertained the kids. We loved our stay. Beautiful home in a beautiful setting.

Family Vacation

The house was beautiful with a big lot and porch. We enjoyed the kayaks in the pond across the street. The location was a short drive to Enchanted Forest and other activities. The owners were very responsive and communicated with everything we needed to know.

Wonderful Gathering

Having access to a canoe and 2 kayaks was a plus for us. The fishing and sunsets were phenomenal! The backyard was surrounded by trees but had an open space to enjoy outside games. We had fun throwing frisbees and actually set up a disc golf hole. The fires at night in the yard was also fun with great view of stars. Thank you hosts for speedy replies. The hosts were exceptional!

Nice place

Overall the place was good. The water was not as close as we would have liked. On a busy road so my grandchildren had to be escorted to and from fishing. Fishing was great!.

Hummingbird Cove

Our stay at Hummingbird Cove was very relaxing. The house was absolutely beautiful and there was more than enough room to spread out. Deer came by daily to visit. Sitting on the lovely porch waiting for them was wonderful. Everything was as advertised. We would definitely love to stay again.

Comfy, well equipped log cabin

Spent 9 nights in this comfy log cabin in Old Forge, NY. Location is great; right on S. Shore drive - some noise from road but only during the day. Very well stocked- TP, paper towels, Kleenex and every kitchen tool you might need. You will enjoy your stay!

This is a great home for a two family vacation.

The owners were quick to respond and friendly. The only thing I would like others to know is that the water is further than described but beautiful. I would recommend this home!

Fun weekend stay

We stayed at this lovely cabin for just the weekend for the Macaulay Mountain Bike festival. It was a great location, not far from town. Overall, a very positive stay. Great fire pit and well stocked kitchen. All listing information was accurate, except the beds were listed as having “comforters”, which were actually very thin quilts. I was able to dig around and find a couple extra blankets, which we needed as it was a first hard frost of the season. I definitely would recommend this property.

Quiet retreat tucked away in the woods.

We had a fantastic time. The property was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. All you can see is one neighbor'a house and we heard nobody during our stay here. Very convenient to town. A hummingbird, a rabbit and some deer were our only visitors. Very happy and are considering coming back.

Very nice place - we enjoyed our stay

I rented this house because of its proximity to the lakeside house the rest of my extended family was renting. This house was very nice, clean and everything was in a good condition. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans and dishes to satisfy your needs. The grill was in good shape and worked well and was reliable for cooking steak or chicken. When we arrived, the house was a bit warm and took a while to cool off as there is no AC but there are plenty of fans for each room. Since there are bears in the area (very cool to see one) I did not think it wise to leave the sliders open at night which cut the circulation a bit. Better safe than sorry. There is also wi-fi and decent cell service for those not seeking full disconnection from the outside world. There is access to the pond across the street if you want to do some canoeing with the kayaks and canoe provided by the owners. The waterfront access is not somewhere you can spend a day at if that is what you are seeking. My family and I made use of the canoes a couple days to just paddle around and have a couple hours of family time before moving on to the next activity. This is really a great house if you are coming to the ADK and need a home base for your fishing, hiking and/or sightseeing activities. At night, there is a nice firepit to hangout and drink some beer or wine by the fire. My family and I enjoyed our stay.
