Oceanside OSLIL COTTAGE - Walk to Lecount Hollow Beach
OSLIL Cottage features a spacious Great Room (Living, Dining and remodeled Kitchen), artfully furnished with ceilings open to timber structure. Two larger first floor bedrooms also have open, beamed ceilings; one has a private bath and queen sized bed; the other has a full size bed. The first floor third bedroom has a bunk bed and convertible standard size sofa bed - perfect for kids. The fourth bedroom in the remodeled Lower Level has a queen bed and twin futon and is naturally cool all summer. Both first floor bathrooms have bathtub/showers, and there is a new powder room in the Lower Level. Also in the finished Lower Level is a media room with HD video projector & Wi-Fi smart DVD player and a rec. room with foosball, ping pong and air hockey. There is a large/family sized outdoor shower, hammock, horseshoe pit and gas grill. The front deck wraps around the house and opens up to a spacious rear deck that borders Wellfleet Conservation Trust land. A trail from the backyard leads you to the Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path, National Park Land, Lecount Hollow Beach, Duck Pond, and best of all, PB Boulangerie Bakery - YUM! The location can't be beat; the house is surrounded by woods and very private, but so convenient to the amenities, for both leisure and the mundane (gas station, convenience store, RT6). Our Summer weeks are Saturday to Saturday only due to our cleaning schedule.

The house was wonderfully located, very homey, and very close to the Wellflet beaches (short bike ride or longer walk). There were great hangout spaces indoors and outdoors for a whole family. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
Everything as advertised. House was clean spacious and right near the beach. Owner was patient while we figured out some things before booking. Awesome house and town.
The cottage was excellent and exactly as advertised. All the appliances and amenities were in good working order. The cottage is private with lovely grounds and a very nice deck and play area for children. It is close to everything we needed. The ocean and bay beaches are close by, as is the town of Wellfleet. Definitely recommended!
We love Wellfleet and visit almost every summer. This house was one of the best we've stayed in! Everything we needed was provided- toys in the basement, kitchen tools, comfy beds, etc.
We took advantage of the trail to walk to Duck Pond (a favorite spot) and visited many beaches, ponds, and restaurants- we had 2 fun, wonderful weeks.
We loved staying at this house in Welfleet. The teens were able to go to PTown in the evenings. Both bay side and o crab side beaches were so close! Loved our stay!
We loved our stay. The house was exactly as it appeared in the listing. There were so many things for our kids to do to stay entertained in the house. We loved the trail out back that took you to the bike trail. The location of the house couldn't be beat. We were close to everything we wanted to do. We would absolutely stay again if we came back.
This location was a mixed bag of pros and cons.
Cons:
To check out you have to do all the laundry. For the amount of money we spent to rent the property that seems insane. It also took all morning and we had to wait around for hours - no idea how you would manage with more people or a flight to catch. The beds weren’t even made when we got there and the sheets we were supposed to use were still wet from the washer. Big thumbs down.
Advertised as walk to beach, but actually pretty far walk down a busy road without a sidewalk
Fridge was plugged in to a power strip which seems like a fire hazard
Dresser in one room was broken
Washing machine very mildewed and the cold water didn’t seem to work
Beds pretty bad condition
Advertised to come with bikes but none were in working condition
Ran out of hot water frequently
Pros:
Outdoor shower was awesome!
Grill was a nice amenity
Record player was fun
Would be great for children, a lot of toys etc
Kitchen well equipped
Connects to bike path
We visited the Cape for a family wedding in Provincetown. We shared the house at OSLIL with my sister in law, her 2 adult children, and my family (husband and 2 teen daughters). The Wellfleet beaches were beautiful and the 25-30 minute drive to Provincetown was perfect. The kids enjoyed some ping pong and foosball. All of the amenities were in good working order and clean. Mary was very responsive to all of our questions. Very much enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
Great getaway for a family or group of friends to relax and hang out together
Spacious house with a well-stocked kitchen and a fun basement in a great location perfect for exploring nearby towns. It was nice to be able to easily walk to PB Boulangerie and Duck Pond, and handy to have bike path access.
The weather wasn't that great during our stay, so we couldn't avail ourselves of outdoor options much, but we did get in some horseshoes one morning. The ping-pong table and foosball table also saw good use.
The kitchen was nice and open so that several people could be helping prep at the same time.
We slept quite well at the house -- comfortable beds, very quiet at night, and no light pollution. (They had tons of night lights distributed around, so no worries about it being too dark. We pulled them all out because we prefer it dark, then plugged them back in before we left.) Good shower pressure too.
There was excellent communication with the owner (Mary) throughout, and the information she provided was clear and helpful.
This was our first time in Cape Cod and we had a fabulous stay at Mary’s wonderful cottage. The space is thoughtfully designed and furnished, with everything you need in the kitchen, a great grill on the deck as well as a useful outdoor shower, and a super fun game room in the basement with a ping pong table, foosball, and home movie projector. It was a hot week but the basement stayed nice and cool and we were able to keep the main floor a pleasant temperature with the use of the ceiling fan and open windows. Location-wise, the cottage is right off the bike path and a short walk/bike ride to the tasty PB Boulangerie. Highly recommend!!
Osil Cottage was the perfect place for our extended family reunion. We loved being closer to the ocean, the ponds and the bike trail. In the morning, we walked along the bike path to Blue Willow, a lovely breakfast spot with delicious breakfast sandwiches and to-die-for cinnamon rolls. In the afternoons we explored the ocean beaches and ponds. The main room was perfect for hanging out all together. The house is very thoughtfully set up to be comfortable for families. The downstairs play rooms were a hit! Mary was very responsive to all our questions. We had a fantastic stay!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Oslil Cottage! It was incredibly well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The path to the beach and bike path was such a treat. The location could not have been better. We will stay there again for sure!
We had a wonderful time at Oslil Cottage. It was perfect for a large family gathering. We really enjoyed the fire pit, the beautiful long table for family meals, the ping pong table, projector TV and the well equipped kitchen! Just a pleasure!
Beautiful home with all of the extras. Plenty of sleeping capacity, close to all of the beaches, walking distance to the bike trail and Bistro. Minutes from downtown Wellfleet and surrounding towns, restaurants, etc. Wonderful communication and support from the owner. Overall ... Excellent!!
We really enjoyed this property - it was set up extremely well for families. The kids enjoyed the basement play area, the ping pong and foosball and the playset in the yard. We enjoyed walking on the path from the house to the beach and had a wonderful time. The location was great too!
We had a wonderful stay at Oslil Cottage. Our 5 year old grandson loved the books, puzzles, and DVD's that are in the home. The basement is really fun with the projector and a foosball table & more ! It is near the Wellfleet beaches and a very quiet location. The master bedroom is great with a bathroom right off the bedroom.
Thank you so much!

OSLIL cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood. Bike path has been extended and runs behind the house which was very convenient. The house has a nice layout, well stocked kitchen, and very comfortable beds. Everyone in the house slept great. Even though no a/c the house stayed nice and cool. Would definitely recommend.
The size, layout and location of this property were ideal for me, my wife and out two adult children. Two plusses are the large deck and the spacious indoor dining area. We would stay here again.
Oslil cottage was a wonderful place to stay. The location was perfect- access to the bike trail, not too hard to navigate Route 6 and a short walk to the local bakeries! The house was clean, had everything we could ever need for cooking and entertainment, plenty of seating and places to hang out and comfy rooms and beds. I would stay again in a heartbeat and so would my whole family.
Mary was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. The house was well stocked with basic supplies and the kitchen was wonderful! We had a great vacation here.
We loved our time at this thoughtfully designed, well-equipped house. It was great to be so close to our favorite National Seashore beaches (Marconi is especially close) and a short hop to P-town. The state had just extended the bike trail to right behind the house when we came and we took full advantage, doing a 20 mile bike ride down to Orleans for ice cream one day and a few of us explored the trails in the woods off the trail too. The kids LOVED the basement and everyone loved watching movies and sports on the projector (we brought our Roku express to plug in and we had access to all of our favorite streaming apps). We will definitely look to stay here again and highly recommend this rental (but don't book our weeks! :-) )

My family and I had been renting in Cape Cod with friends since 2004 in Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown. We love the ocean beaches, being away from it all, while also being so close to the bustle of Provincetown. When I first saw this property, as an architect, I knew right away that with a little TLC, it could become the retreat that brings family and friends together for many years. I was drawn to the exposed timber post and beam structure of this unassuming 80's ranch. The spatial quality created by the exposed timber trusses makes this house unique, and is a testament to the idea that spaces do not have to be huge to feel big.
Why they chose this property
Location, Location, Location - close to the ocean, ponds and bike trail. Being surrounded by conservation and national park land gives OSLIL Cottage a very remote feeling even though it is easy to get to. To be able to walk to an ocean is a rare treat on this part of the Cape, and you can also walk to Duck Pond via the bike trail extension.
What makes this property unique
The property is very private and quiet, but there is easy access to the main road and you can walk to the French bakery and the bike trail without going out to a road!
The interiors of the house are modern with a bit of whimsy. There is visual interest in the textiles and furnishings and the white walls accentuate and balance the dark, rough and heavy timbers and artwok.
