Cozy Cabin!

We loved staying here! The location is great and the cabin is well-stocked inside (towels, linens, wifi, smart TV) and out (firewood, fishing rods, kayaks, paddle board, life vests, paddle boat, etc.) for a relaxing lake vacation. Communication with our hosts was friendly and quick. We would definitely come back.

Great for our short getaway

We booked the Redbird for a short (3 night) getaway with family that was visiting the States. It had everything we were looking for -- a dock on a lake for hanging out and kayaking, a fire pit, a grill, and a cozy cottage. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The hosts provided a lot of information about the house and the area surrounding it. Jillian was super responsive to any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fall in NH

This quaint cabin was just perfect for our stay. We explored the White Mountains and Portland while here. Beds were comfy and we spent a lot of time in the screened in porch!

Wonderful rustic retreat

This property is a vintage Maine lakeside camp with beautiful views, comfortable beds and relaxing vibes. Our family traveled to Maine for my daughter’s graduation from St. Joseph’s College in Standish. This rustic retreat was nearby and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The property was very clean and well positioned to take in beautiful vistas of the lake. We would definitely stay again!

Quiet, peaceful retreat!

Our stay was amazing! The owners were very easy to work with and quick to respond to my many questions. The property was beautiful and perfectly maintained. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with cookware and easy to locate everything you need. The docks and the kayaks were in pristine condition! There were so many life jackets to pick from too! I couldn't have asked for much more. This home is so peaceful and serene! A perfect home away from home!

Girl Getaway

We had a wonderful time, shopping in Freeport, swimming, paddle boarding and using the kayaks. The only issue we had was my daughter and I wanted to use the peddle boat but it was full of stale nasty water that we had to empty and then clean before using. We did finally peddle down to the log cabin and back. The roof should be taken off or repaired, it’s broken and does not stay up. Another small suggestion is maybe a small roof over the table and chairs down by the water. They are covered in pine pitch and perhaps a roof would keep them cleaner. We just sat in the chairs on the dock, much cleaner. Overall, a wonderful time was had by all. Would book again.

Great long weekend at the lake

At the last minute, we booked a long weekend at the lake, and had just an incredible time at this property. The hosts were super accommodating and helpful from the beginning. The property itself was incredibly clean and well appointed. It’s definitely got a cabin look from the outside, but on the inside, it is much closer to a lovely bed-and-breakfast. The bedrooms had the most comfortable beds and bedding, and there was plenty of room for our family. But the best part was getting to hang out outside on the screened in porch, at the fire pit, and down on the water. The host provide kayaks, a paddleboard, some floats and lifejackets. We brought our own fishing gear, but the host also had plenty of fishing stuff on hand. The kids and adults both enjoyed catching perch right off the dock, as well as swimming/playing on the kayaks and paddle board all day long. We were lucky with the weather, but if it had rained, there is also plenty to do inside the house as the host has a lot of games and books for kids as well as Internet and a large TV and comfortable living room. I just can’t say enough about the care that the host took in making sure everything was right and how lovely a weekend it was.
